Its funny to me, cause Eddie’s was a total spin off of the old Kahuna Grill. It expanded on that quite a bit and probably has less similarities and menus change over time. I hope it does ok, but that location just stinks in my opinion. Especially with the new street markings on Hollister making driving and parking over there the worst.

This might actually do well here considering everything else in Old Town is Mexican, Asian, or fastfood. Restaurants seem to be the only thing that do well in that area and there isn’t much turnover outside of this particular space.

It never looks open, or is just very dark.

Woodstock’s seems to constantly be packed and has live music all the time.

Rusty’s is more family-oriented and the forever locals keep it going…but to out-of-town college students…that means nothing to them.

Looks like Captain Fatty’s even applied for an ABC license there not too long ago but then withdrew it.

I am a ketchup fan and am disappointed by a new generic ketchup starting to be served at some local restaurants. I never knew I was a ketchup snob until I tasted this substitute. I can’t recall the name but i believe it had the word Choice in the title. I don’t want to name the restaurants because they are both favorites of mine, I just bring my own ketchup packs if I think i will need it.

Just a quick clarification: AG Legado Group isn’t a real estate firm. It’s local ownership, part of the Velazquez family. Also, Chef Ramon is still involved in the restaurant, especially on the culinary side and recipes.

Their menu changes everyday because they make different dishes daily, but some of them are fixed and will always be there. Also they upped the prices because DoorDash was taking too much cut, I believe 30%.

IMO, this is somewhat historic as far as an iconic SB location, due to it being the former home of 8 Castagnola Brothers Little Market. It was an awesome lunch spot in the 80’s.

Most Subway locations make very little or no profit. Subway will take over the lease and look for a new operator to keep the brand from shrinking and keeping an over saturation of locations as they take royalties off the top regardless of profitability.
Most franchises operate this way.
