This year’s Tour de France is in full swing and with Lance Armstrong currently sitting in third place, his LIVESTRONG foundation is spreading awareness all over the world. As you know, Nike Sportswear’s LIVESTRONG collection has taken many of Nike’s rare and classic models and given them a Black/Yellow LIVESTRONG makeover. To coincide with the ongoing race, an installation was created that features the Nike footwear collection with a backdrop featuring a profile map of Stage 20 of the race (Montelimar - Mont Vernoux).

Nike announced today the next addition to the Nike+ accessories collection - the Nike+ SportBand. An enhance LCD screen with white background for the best possible visibility, a new welded construction translates to better water resistance. The collection will include 3 different color variant to select from: grey with pink interior band, anthracite with yellow interior band, and black with red interior band. With a wealth of information on this advance device, runners could simply tune into their Apple iPod or iPhone and focus solely on their run ahead. The new Nike+ SportBand will going on sale this Wednesday, July 15th.

Nike SB P-Rod III

Nike SB just released the new P-Rod III, which is a part of the P-Rod series from the SB. Some have made analogies for the P-Rod, saying P-Rod is to skateboarding what Air Jordan is to basketball. This seems somewhat fitting as the P-Rod III also happens to use to same color palette as Air Jordan III with black/red.

2K Sports vs The World

Courtesy 2K Sports comes the "2K Sports vs. The World" series that follows the 2K Sports Preseason All-American hoops team as they play in the World Junior Basketball Classic in France versus various teams from around the world. Below are the first 5 episodes and tune back for newer episodes as they drop. Oh yeah featured on the 2K team are Pickering's Cory Joseph and Brampton's Tristan Thompson.

Episode 1

Episode 1 meets the 2K Sports Preseason All-American team as they arrive at Charles de Gaulle International Airport, take the long bus ride from Paris to Douai, settle in at their hotel and don their new uniforms for a Dime Magazine photo shoot.

Episode 2

Episode 2 finds the 2K Sports Preseason All-American team practicing for their first game, heading to the locker room to hear the coach speak, then it's on to the court for their game against Puerto Rico.

Episode 3

After their loss to Puerto Rico, the 2K Sports Preseason All-American Team discusses Game 1 at practice and then plays Game 2 against Lithuania.

Episode 4

The 2K Sports Preseason All-American team makes a guest appearance at a local McDonald's, talk about their experiences with the fans in Douai, France and battle Australia in Game 3 of the tournament.

Episode 5

The 2K Sports Preseason All-American Team makes an appearance at a local electronics store, discusses French food and gets their first victory against the Canadians.

N.O.R.E. x Champion

This one sort comes out of left field but I remember hopping down to Plattsburgh, NY to the Champion factory outlet to find the hidden gems that were to be had. Well it looks as though Champion is making a sort of a comeback and making the rounds in the endorsement ring is none other than Queens legend N.O.R.E. who drops a "Rotate" Champion Hoodie Remix for the company. Still the best hoods hands down.

Jaguar Cars officially unveiled the all-new XJ car at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London. Hosted by Jay Leno the launch of the new Jaguar flagship was attended by an invited audience. The all-new XJ is available to order now (dependent on market), with the first customers due to receive their cars in early 2010.
