About two weeks ago, the Isis Finger Massager arrived in the mail and ever since then, I have been in pure bliss. Literally! All I can say is WOW when it comes to this little piece of heaven. I had been on the search for something small, discreet and easy to use when I needed a quick fix – Isis is exactly this – and I found my product.

The Isis is the smallest rechargeable personal massager at 2.5″ in length, 3/4″ around and weighing only 1.5 ounces! But don’t be fooled by its tiny size as this little bugger packs 5 hours of amazing stimulation when fully charged on a single speed vibration at a 80Hz frequency. A unique feature to this product are the finger clips that come in three sizes (S, M, L) which makes it easy to use during intercourse. The fact that my boyfriend can slip the Isis onto his finger makes it his favorite toy to use during intercourse as he likes to provide me with clitoral stimulation that sometimes can get uncomfortable with him using his fingers; not to mention, he isn’t the gentleless guy when it comes to using his hands so the Isis is a great supplement for his hand. Even though, this little finger vibrator is only single speed it packs enough vibration to send me to the big O as I am very big on clitoral stimulation and can often get off by it alone. I have used this little toy almost everyday since I received it and I don’t see myself slowing down anytime soon.

The Isis is made out of plastic which makes it easy to clean and maintain, however, it is not waterproof so I would not suggest submerging it during cleaning. A simple wipe with a damp cloth with a little soap should do the trick. It does not come with a storage bag but because it is made out of plastic, it won’t attract too much dust and/or lent, just make sure you keep it out of the heat…we don’t want our little friend to melt do we? I think not! Another great thing about the materials this product is made out of is that it is phthalates and latex free along with being hypo-allergenic so it would be a great addition for anyone who suffers from various allergies. There are so many great features about this product that I feel like I could go on and on about them. For instance, along with the size, the speed, and the material, the Isis is completely recharageable via an AC adapter which means NO MORE SEARCHING FOR BATTERIES! I love the concept of having a “toy” that is rechargable and I’m glad Emotional Bliss added it into the design of this product.

The only downside I have been able to come up with to this product is the fact that it isn’t waterproof and it is a little on the loud side. I have found that the vibration is so strong that when the finger clip is attached to it, it seems to get louder. However, the sound isn’t so loud that it should distract from your pleasure. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for something small, discreet and doesn’t scream sex toy. If you’re intimated by size or the idea of owning a sex toy, this would be a good beginning place. The Isis provides excellent clitoral stimulation and is sure to be a pleasure in anyone’s bed!

Fogless Shower Mirror

Simulated Diamond Earrings

Invisible Dry Shampoo

Isis Finger Massager (my favorite)

I’m also awaiting the arrival of a few other products but in the mean time, will be working on the above. I hoping to purchase my review domain name this weekend if the sale of my darkroom enlarger happens tomorrow, so cross your fingers for that as I really want a separate place to do my reviews. Once the review site is up and running, I will also being hosting giveaways so keep your eyes peeled as you might when some door hardware…just kidding, the products will definitely be a lot more exciting than that!

Today was my first 10+ hour day at work. I.am.tired! And that is an understatement. Whoever said the field of social services was galarmous was lying to me (no one has really ever told me that, by the way!) but at the end of the day, it feels good to know that I am helping someone, a child, who has very little voice especially when they are in the form of a one year old toddler. It is sad though because it’s their parents fault they aren’t at home because of drug abuse, poor living conditions and a slew of other excuses. It is especially disheartening when you know said mother has 5 children, all of which are in state custody, and refuses to do anything to get her children back. Ugh. But this is what I signed up for and I absolutely love it; I can’t wait to go to school for my MSW, I wish I had gotten my Bachelors in Social Work instead of psychology! I can definitely see myself doing this type of work 10 years from now. Not necesarily the position I have now or working with children but some time of social work helping people get back on their feet and living a good life.

On that note, I really wish Alan would figure out what he wants to do with his life. He is a year younger than me and has completed some general education requirements but hasn’t figured out exactly what he wants to do. Granted, it took me awhile to figure out my life calling but I still did it before I turned 22! He has gone back and forth between some type of engineering to architecture but I don’t think he sees himself slaving over cad drawings the rest of his life. He has also thought about going into some kind of IT work as he knows a lot about computers, electronics and my dad can help him get into programs as my dad has a degree in computer science. I know once I find out if I get accepted to KU’s MSW program, Alan will decide what he wants to do about school as he’s already told me he wants to wait before he makes a decision in case we have to move. But I’m only applying to KU right now so he may as well start taking classes before he gets to the point where he doesn’t want to go at all…we’ll see though, he has awhile before I start really hounding him about it but not too long!

I’ve been fairly busy the past two weeks so I’m pretty sure that I hadn’t mentioned that I got a new job and started that job on the 23rd of August. I love it! At least I do at this point, I’ll check back in about a month to see if I still feel the same way. I work as a Family Support Worker within a social service agency that deals with foster and adoption cases. I help children in their time of need while they are in foster homes and their parents are working to get them back into the home. I do not work for SRS and I do not take kids away from their parents; this is important to point out because many people, parents and children included, think that we are the ones who take kids away. In fact, we do the opposite by trying to help the families and get the children back with their parents before it becomes an adoption issue. I work full time with benefits and get paid .50 cent more than I was at my summer temporary job. It is a business casual agency so I have to wear long skirts, black pants, nice shirts which is definitely a change from getting to wear jeans and t-shirts all day, everyday. But I love it! I know I said that once already. I also get my own office space in the cubicle with my case manager with my own computer, my own email and my own files. I get to set my schedule based on when I do visits with the children which is nice as some days I’ll work 8a – 5p but others, like for tomorrow for instance, I will work 10:30a – 8:30p. I’m really excited about this job because it allows me to gain more experience in the social service field but also gives me a first hand look into what a case manager actually does which is where I want to go next. It’ll also look really good on my resume when I apply to graduate school to get my MSW. I’ll update more as I get comfortable with the job but there isn’t too much I can really say about it due to legal and confidentially laws.

Yesterday morning I woke up to a frozen AC once again. This is the third time it has happened this month and the second time in a weeks time. The apartment complex insists that we are running the AC too hard and can only set the temparture between 70 and 75. Oh really? Then why were we able to set the AC to cool down to 66 degrees in a 2 bedroom apartment within the same complex without any issues of freezing? Yeah that’s what I thought. Needless to say, they are going to have a very pissed off tenant come next month when I get a very high electric bill that I will force them to pay.

Anyways, when all this happened I called my mom to let her know about it AGAIN because I just don’t know what to say about it anymore. No one is listening to me. She goes well I will talk to them in person about it. I was like, WHAT? In person? What are you talking about? She’s goes, I’m on my way there (she lives in South Carolina, I live in Kansas). I started going into the whole yeah right, what are you talking about, it isn’t April Fools so what do you mean, when she says yeah I’m on my way there just past Kansas City so I’ll talk to them in person. I say okay and hang up the phone…shocked. About 20 minutes later, she’s at my door. Surprise!

The last few weeks have been very emotional and hard for my family. We found out that one of my younger cousins (my grandmother’s sister’s son’s son), Chip, who is only 13 has a cancerous brain tumor along with spots on his pine. His mom and dad noticed that he started having difficulties walking, talking and seeing and took him to the doctor as soon as they returned home to Georgia from a vacation in South Carolina (where my family is from) and were told he had cancer. Chip went under a 9 hour surgery last Wednesday in order to remove the brain tumor, however, the doctor was unable to get it all as the tumor is interwined in his brain stem. He will have to undergo chemo therapy along with radiation in order to treat the spots on his spine as well as the parts of the tumor they could not remove. Despite the news, the surgery and only being 13, the doctors have said Chip is doing remarkably well and are surprised at how talkative and good he feels after having such an intensive surgery.

Even though, Chip is doing well, he has a long road ahead of him and the future is unknown in regards to his condition. I can only imagine how his parents feel, a mother and father to Chip, Jack and Brett – Chip being the eldest – to know that their son could have and may still possibly die in the future due to this condition. On top of all this, I found out a few days ago that my great grandmother who turned 89 in July, has started to go downhill very fast. She started to haullicate a few weeks ago but in this past week, she has only wanted to eat and sleep and will not talk to anyone. We are hoping it is just a spell and she’ll come out of it but I am perparing myself for the worst. I just took a new job and I can’t afford to go out of town so soon but of course, if it is necesarry I will.

With all this going on, you can only imagine the stress my family is under which is why we need a vacation! My entire family are beach people and many of them still live by the beach in Charleston, SC, but nothing compares to the Outer Banks vacation rentals that Carolina Designs offers. I mean, I’ve been to beach houses before, my family usually will rent one for a week during the summer, but nothing they have ever rented can compare to the 5 bedroom, 7 bed Seahawk rental they offer. This house comes equip with a private pool, hot tub, 10 TVS, 3 VCRs, 2 DVD players, video library, stereo, game room with sports bar, wet bar, gas grill and is 635 yards from the ocean. Can you imagine spending a week in luxury like that…? A place that is quiet, serene and near the ocean with everything you could need or want at your fingertips. It would be great to spend time with my family, especially my great grandmother who ispossibly in her last few months of life and cousin if he’d be able to come, and soak up the last moments with some and create new ones with others. If only…

For the last couple of months, I have been receiving products from Edenfantasys to review and last month was no exception. This time around instead of picking out a sex toy to review, I decided to try out Intimate Organics Hydra lubrication as I’ve been searching around for quite some time for a good lube to use during intercourse as well as solo play. I chose this particular product because the ingredients are 100% natural, paraben, glycerine and DEA free. This is important to me because I am very wary of liquids or any substances that are to be used in such intimate and sensitive parts. Luckily, I have never experienced an infection but I didn’t want to risk it with a lubricant that contained ingredients known to cause infections in women.

What is nice about Intimate Organics Hydra is that it contains certified organic aloe leaf extract which helps condition and nourish the skin. This lube has a very nice consistency to it without being too sticky or tacky and not too watery. It is a water-based lubricant which is awesome because it can be used with any kind of sex toy material (silicone, most definitely!) without the worry of the toy being ruined. Another great thing about this product containing natural ingredients is that they are absored into the skin without worry of irritation.

Unfortunately, while this product rates high for me in regards to ingredient list and being certified organic, it isn’t one of my favorites and will be rarely used. This product has a very strong rose smell which is interesting because the list of ingredients doesn’t list rose extract or a flower extract at all, perhaps it is the lemon grass extract, but it is very overbearing. Being very sensitive to smell and having a hard time stomaching anything that smells bad or overbearing for too long really took away from my experience when this product was used. It was hard to concentrate on anything aside from the smell, not to mention, it seemed to linger long after the product was gone or washed away.

If you can bear the smell, I would recommend this product to someone looking for a more natural option to lubricants and to anyone who is looking for a non-sticky or tacky water-based product to be used during intercourse and/or solo play. However, if you’re sensitive to smell or looking for a product with no scent or very little scent, this isn’t the product for you.

I miss having a desktop computer. I miss being able to sit at the desk and work. Sure, I could easily put my laptop on the desk but then I’d have to hook up my mouse and buy a wireless keyboard for it because sitting at a desk with the laptop is uncomfortable! I told Alan the other day that I would be more apt to play World of Warcraft again if I had a desktop to play on. I’ve been using my Macbook Pro for everything since I bought it last August for school. I hadn’t used my desktop PC in forever and when I finally turned it on at the beginning of the year, it wouldn’t load pass the start logo. My PC has had issues for a long time now and has needed to be replaced for over a year hence why I bought a laptop. I am hoping that I get this new job I interviewed for a few weeks ago and that it pays a little more than I was getting at the summer temporary job I had; if I do get it, I definitely plan on saving up to buy computer parts.
