Everyone up to speed now? Good, because we’ve got some big news to share… BUT NOT JUST YET! Right now we’re [redacted verb] in [redacted proper noun], [redacted verb] a [redacted noun]. In a few [redacted length of time] we’ll be able to [redacted verb] it with you all!

How’s everything? Did you miss us? We missed you. A lot. You never write anymore! Oh that’s because we took the address off the site, well that is for the best, we couldn’t keep up with the volume of fan mail, but that doesn’t mean we love you any less.

Anyway, we know it’s OCTOBER, but today’s new sketch ISN’T part of our annual Shocktobersketch Horror/Comedy festival. In fact, the only thing scary about THIS sketch is how GOOD IT LOOKS! That’s right! Welcome to the dawning of a new era, THESEPEOPLE HD!

Our first offering is a little something we call, “What is this Line For?” it’s part sketch, part song, and all funny. Written, produced and shot by the ThesePeople NYC crew (Matt, Wheeler, and Mike) and featuring a literal cast of thousands we very much hope you enjoy and then change your ringtone to the “What is this Line For?” song.

We’ve got some more shiny HD stuff shot and we’re developing some scary funny stuff for this Halloween, our goal is to have it out by Thanksgiving.

Weâ€re back! New material! I know it seems like weâ€ve been gone for a while, but thatâ€s because (and I think we can tell the press this now) ThesePeople are actually SEAL Team 6. So we were a little busy.

Anyway, todayâ€s offering is a star studded Internet crossover to end all Internet crossovers. It stars myself (Matt) along with Six Finger Fistâ€s Dwayne Bartholomew and Sean Cameron of the upcoming Mort and Friends. Both of these blokes are no strangers to ThesePeopleâ€s Internets as you can see Dwayne in “Professor Pals” and the cult hit “Hot Dogs Anytime” while Sean chews the scenery in “The Englishman” and “Ghostel”.

This sketch was once again shot in a fancy hotel out on the Left Coast and was shot and masterfully edited by our good friend Joel Slabaugh.

Should I tell you what it is now? Probably. I wanted to give you all the back story first so you know all the people who donated their valuable time and talents and that way you donâ€t just see the title and then go watch the sketch…oh right…THE SKETCH! Itâ€s called “The Lame-Over” and itâ€s a parody of the popular film “The Hangover” except these three guys had a very different kind of night.

We hope you enjoy the sketch! I think this will be our summer blockbuster and shatter all previous opening week numbers for a movie parody sketch.

Thatâ€s right, ladies and gents, ThesePeople have risen from their graves ala Altered Beast (ask your older brothers) for a new year of new comedy! And now weâ€re in a new city, New York City! (also donâ€t be surprised if this year features sketches from Chicago, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and of course Detroit.)

Iâ€ve been in NY for nearly a year now and Iâ€ve found two things: first, I found some great people to collaborate with. (Youâ€ll meet some of them in this sketch.) Secondly, Iâ€ve learned that I absolutely LOVE Big Buck Hunter. Itâ€s pretty much the funnest thing in the world, and nothing is more satisfying than killing a huge elephant for your trophy animal.

Todayâ€s sketch combines these two things, presenting…”Buck Hunter” starring myself, and new friends of ThesePeople Jon, Wheeler and Dee. It tells the cautionary tale of what happens when video game taunting goes too far.

We really hope you enjoy it, itâ€s got action, adventure, some comedy, and a lot of great special effects from our editor Mr. Steve Immer.

This winter weâ€ve been stockpiling scripts and meeting lots of new people to work with so we can start making more of the comedy you helped make more popular than Susan Boyle on YouTube.

You didnâ€t think your old pals ThesePeople were going to leave you high and dry for Halloween, did you!?

No? Good. Because we didnâ€t. PRESENTING a project near and dear to my heart “EDISON PRICE: HOMELESS VAMPIRE HUNTER” ThesePeopleâ€s first ever web-series. We shot this a while back with a team of ThesePeople all stars and weâ€ve been waiting for the right moment to share it with the world, and what better time, than Shocktobersketch 5?

Thatâ€s right 5 years of ThesePeople Horror Comedy.

Edison Price: Homeless Vampire Hunter is about Edison Price, a homeless vampire hunter, portrayed brilliantly by star of “Sex Addict” and “WhoreSquare” Ryan Mason who is a vampire hunter going through some tough times. He makes an unlikely friend in Jack (thatâ€s me! Matt!), a young professional with a very serious problem only Edison can help him with.

In the episode look for ThesePeople favorite Kim Cooper, one of my favorite brothers, Paul, and for a split second NICK! Plus, more surprise guests are coming up in future episodes, so grab some garlic and stay tuned.

Itâ€s Matt live from my sexy leather couch in my cozy Brooklyn Apartment. How are you guys? Ready to laugh? You guys are still into laughing, right? GOOD.

Hereâ€s another gem from ThesePeople starring Jeff and Pretty Doctor Tim, Pediatric Gynecologist.

Itâ€s called “Foods That Arenâ€t Meat” and to tell you anymore would be to ruin it. I can tell you it was originally conceived in Los Angeles with our dear friend (and star of Sex Addict and Buddy Escorts) Ryan Mason, but we didnâ€t get a chance to shoot it out there.

THEN we were supposed to shoot it in Detroit in Timâ€s apartment, but I forgot a very important prop on our shoot day. So we went all over Detroit trying to find a replacement, but as it turns out there are no operational stores in Detroit so that hindered our process. We ended up just shooting it back at my place in my basement. Great story, right? Youâ€re welcome.

Back at the ThesePeople ranch weâ€re trying to rustle up some exciting Halloween offerings for you, as we love to do this time of year. Weâ€re thinking “The Human Millipede”… you guys into that? Good.

How are you? I know before Iâ€ve said “itâ€s been a while” but this time really “ITâ€S BEEN A WHILE.” Youâ€ve probably been wondering where your beloved ThesePeople are. Make no mistake, we are still here, just where “here” is has become a little different as I (Matt) have recently moved to New York City. So that puts me in NYC, Joel and Steve in Chicago and Jeff, Tim, Nick and Aaron back in Detroit. Weâ€re not breaking up, weâ€re expanding.

But because I have been moving, settling into a new job and drinking a lot there has not been a ton of time to make new stuff, HOWEVER before I left we shot quite a few funny shorts that we will be sharing over the next month or two while I start shooting a bunch of new stuff that all takes place in Times Square.

The first of those shorts? Todayâ€s offering “Whatâ€s that Noise?” Itâ€s only a minute long so I wonâ€t bother describing it, but I will say if youâ€re a fan of our redheaded actress Kim “Kat” Cooper, sheâ€s in it. “Whatâ€s that Noise?” is also our 100th YouTube upload! HOORAY!!! However it is not technically our 100th sketch as other YouTube uploads include vlogs and “Quickies” that arenâ€t full fledged sketches like “KITE” or “Thereâ€s a Monster in my Sublet” or the 92 other sketches we have done.

Thanks everyone for sticking with us during our little hiatus, weâ€ll be better about getting new sketches to you more regularly especially now that our editor is done getting engaged (CONGRATS STEVE AND ELIZABETH) and can now get back to what really matters.

How is it going? Iâ€m doing great, because LOST is on tonight, and I saw Kick-Ass the other day and it was awesome. And thus ends this edition of ThesePeopleâ€s pop culture review….or does it?

We hope you enjoyed the debut of our “QUICKIES” last week with “Up Your Butt”. You can look forward to (or I guess dread) a lot of quick, fun sketches like that in the future. Weâ€re all about getting content in your face at all times.

Today however, we bring you a full-fledged new sketch. Weâ€re very excited about this one and think itâ€ll find a nice little home in the current Internet social networking trend, and NO, itâ€s not about Chatroulette. (surprisingly). This is a little ditty we call “Whoresquare” which pretty much does exactly what the increasingly popular app “Foursquare” does except… sexier.

This sketch was shot in Hollywood, California with the help of the ThesePeople West Cost team Joel Slabaugh, and Ryan Mason. PLUS it features an appearance from Lauren, star of the 15th most watched comedy video of ALL TIME on YouTube, “Homemade Porn” and the more respectable, but less watched “Killing Button”. Yes, you get ALL that, PLUS original music from the great Matt Raetzel.

Iâ€m here today because I wanted to drop a quick blog on you all to let you know ThesePeople are adding a new bit of spice to our normal awesome sketches.

INTRODUCING….ThesePeople QUICKIES!

Because we donâ€t like the gaps that come in between releasing sketches any more than you do weâ€ve taken to shooting super short sketches whenever a couple of us can get together. This maximizes our time, and your laughter, and everyone wins.

We have a few of these stored up weâ€ll be dropping on you in the coming months and wanted to start you off with a little number called “Up Your Butt”. The REAL beauty of these quickies is that I donâ€t have to write plot synopsis. Theyâ€re so short, by the time youâ€re done reading this you could have watched “Up Your Butt” like 6 times. So please do. Watch it again and again and let us know what you think of the NEW Format. And donâ€t worry we still have plenty of full size sketch fun coming at you.

Welcome to Mid-March. The great dull stretch of time before baseball, good weather or anything cool.

Well, we thought weâ€d do something to help pass the time. Release a sketch. This is a little number called “Hoodward Bound: The Incredible Journey (based on the novel ‘PUSH†by Sapphire.”) and weâ€re quite proud of it. In fact, ThesePeopleâ€s Tim says “This could be my new favorite sketch of all time.” And heâ€s not even in it.

‘Hoodward Bound: The Incredible Journey†tells the heartwarming and at times terrifying tale of a poor hoodie that gets forgotten in the back seat of a car and must make his way home to his owner.

Some people may notice a strong similarity between the name and plotline of this sketch and the name and plotline of the 1993 family film “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey”. Let me assure you, that is purely a coincidence. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other.

How has everyone been? Staying warm? Itâ€s a blizzard here in Detroit (and other places), so itâ€s the perfect day to cuddle up with your sweetheart and watch some Internet sketch comedy from your favorite sketch comedy troupe, or if they donâ€t have a new video, us.

Todayâ€s offering opens our 5th season of videos and was shot in L.A. with the West Coast unit of ThesePeople, myself (MaTT), Joel Slabaugh and Ryan Mason (star of “Buddy Escorts” and “My, Robot”). It tells the touching tale of a manâ€s struggle with addiction. And really thereâ€s no better time than Valentineâ€s Day to release a sketch called “Sex Addict”. Will its title do it the same favor that “Homemade Porn” has done for “Homemade Porn”? Only time will tell.

As the year winds down so does another thrilling and, at times, hilarious ThesePeople season of comedy.

We leave you with a just (barely) in time for New Year’s Sketch “Midnight Kiss” starring our good friend and founding member Kim “Kat” Cooper.

This year brought a lot of firsts for ThesePeople including our first DVD (on sale on the site now) and our first ever STAGE performance. Not only that, we cranked out 19 more sketches for you to enjoy.

We are looking forward to trying some new things and finally getting around to a pile of scripts we’ve got stored up in 2K10 (spoiler alert some scripts are CAT related) so we hope you’ll stay tuned for more of our general Internet wackiness.

As people sometimes do at the end of a year (or season) we like to look back at the year that has passed and call out our favorite ThesePeople moments. Rather than make a hokey list, we’ll just call out every member’s favorite sketch (luckily there weren’t a lot of repeats)

Matt here to share with you the latest ThesePeople creation shot earlier this year in LOVELY Los Angeles in 109 degree weather. This is a sketch weâ€ve been excited about for a while, but had to wait to get SHOCKTOBERSKETCH IV to be done and buried before its release.

This sketch features our good friend and fellow creator of comedy Dwayne Bartholomew who devotees may remember from “Professor Pals.” This time we took the cameras to his turf and made a little piece of funny we call “Hot Dogs, Anytime.” Once again inspired by a true story… sort of (thanks Ciara). And for “Hot Dogs” we have to throw a huge thanks out to our once again guest editor/special effects guru Joel Slabaugh.

Weâ€re working around the clock to get you one more sketch for 2009, and weâ€re prepping for 2010 with a mighty fury. So we hope you stay tuned as always.

Close enough, right?

Hope you guys had a great Halloween, we didnâ€t seem to get any pictures of people dressing up as ThesePeople characters! What gives? No one went as “Homemade Porn girl”? All you need are shorts and a bra. Iâ€m sure some one did, and maybe didnâ€t even realize it.

Actually speaking of Homemade Porn girl… guess who is in our latest sketch. If you guessed Nick! Well… youâ€re right, but what I was setting up here is that the star of Homemade Porn herself, Lauren is BACK for her third ThesePeople appearance.

Today she stars in “Romance is Undead.” A sketch intended to come out a few weeks back to be Halloween topical, but instead is being released now to keep the Halloween spirit alive a bit longer. This sketch needed a lot of people to help out so I have to give a tremendous shout out once again to Aaron Moring for lending his skills to the audio side of things and a super big thanks to my own brother Paul Cassatta for strutting his editing stuff for the first time on a ThesePeople sketch while Steve was away on business. Great work all around!

“Romance is Undead” tells the story of the strange bedfellows zombie invasions tend to make.

This puts a close to our elongated and very successful SHOCKTOBERSKETCH IV, we hope you enjoyed it! And encourage you to go check out “Mindblowers,” and “Burn Barn” if youâ€ve not seen them yet or if you want to laugh again.

Halloween is drawing ever closer, and so is another terrifyingly funny sketch from ThesePeople. Enter Shocktobersketch IV sketch number two, “The Burn Barn!” The burn barn is a rickety old barn haunted by the spirit of The Burnmaster! A plucky group of teens try to take him on only to find themselves… BURNED.

This sketch should be a hit amongst the ThesePeople faithful as it stars original members (rarely seen these days) Aaron and Joel. As well as top notch performances from our friends Nick H. (not Asian Nick), Andrea and Rachel. And HUGE props have to be thrown out to my boys Paul “Lester Stickens” Painter (who is also our voice over on several ThesePeople hits) and Eric for a sweet cut and some amazing special effects, brought together with some wonderful sound design from Aaron (not actor Aaron, sound design Aaron.)

And good news kids! Shocktober is going to become Shock-vember as we have one more sketch that ran into some production snags and therefore will be released a little later than planned, but itâ€ll be worth that wait because itâ€ll have zombies. Youâ€re gonna love it.

Happy Halloween!!!

We are halfway through October and our Halloween excitement is at fever pitch! Today Iâ€m taking a quick time out from choosing between being Billy Mays or David Carradine for Halloween to share with you all the FIRST of our Shocktobersketches, a scary little number we call “Mindblowers.”

An evil terror is on the loose blowing minds and only one rookie renegade cop can bring him to justice… or can he?

This is our first entry in our FOURTH year of Shocktobersketches, we have two more to come before October is out, and weâ€re very excited for all of them.

Todayâ€s sketch “Mindblowers” is full of surprises, including one very big one in particular. Long time ThesePeople fans will notice the triumphant return of our good friend and original ThesePeople member, Aaron. “Mindblowers” also features our good friends Ciara, Rachel and a mindblowing cameo from our perennial corpse actress Birgit.

Speaking of Shocktobersketches, weâ€ve been getting a lot of emails and texts lately about Richard Kelly ripping off last yearâ€s runaway hit, “The Killing Button” in his new movie “The Box.” And yes, he absolutely did, tell your friends. (Some lines from the trailer are a DIRECT lift.) But in fairness we ripped off the sketch from a 1980s Twilight Zone episode that ripped it off from an old ghost story. Although I have no idea how theyâ€re going to stretch what we did in 5 minutes into an hour and a half, Iâ€m probably going to see it anyway out of curiosity.

Featuring an amazing song recorded by our good friend Matt Raetzel, and featuring the vocal stylings of “ThesePeople.” TSNT tells the story of the 5th lesser known and under-appreciated mutated turtle from the mid-80s whose life without Master Splinterâ€s guidance turned out less than splendid.

This sketch is a big deal for us (mostly because it justified us buying a full body turtle costume) because itâ€s been a bit since our last sketch and this sketch was truly a team effort that weâ€re VERY proud of.

More good news is that this is sketch 1 of 4 all-new sketches we are in post production on and weâ€ve only got ONE more Shocktobersketch to shoot for this yearâ€s amazing 3 sketch series featuring our favorite type of comedy… HORROR comedy. So if youâ€ve been hungry for some new material, we are going to bombard you with stuff over the next month and a half.

Hope youâ€ve been enjoying watching and re-watching “Hairy Guyz” for the last few weeks, and by the looks of the views I think some of you have been. If for nothing else at least than the ads YouTube put next to it promoting “Gay Cowboy Central.com.” There really are sites out there to help anyone to meet anyone.

This weekâ€s offering is something a little different, a little “out there,” a little “against the grain,” and a lot “ThesePeople.”

Itâ€s called “The Self-Deprecating Bachelorette” and itâ€s based on a true story… well the first 30-45 seconds really happened, and we made the rest up.

Itâ€s about a young lady on the verge of a wedding who deems herself SO unlovable she must set all males everywhere at ease by letting them know theyâ€ll never have to date her.
