Hello friends.

It seems good to the Lord that I continue to not blog for a while. I went to write up a post the other day, but just couldn’t.

I can’t explain it, I just couldn’t write. Nothing came to me and what I did write seemed dead.

I am wanting to glory God in everything and I think it will bring more glory to Him if I stay away than force it. I don’t know if I’ll be back or when. It all is up to the Lord and His will for my life.

I understand if your not happy, but I hope you understand.

I will leave the blog up and keep my facebook page up. If you stay ‘Like’ing the farm on facebook, you’ll know if I come back.

I pray the Lord is working in your life like He is mine.

He is so good and I’m thankful for His presence in my life.

Hello everyone.

I just wanted to drop in and say that I’ve had quite a past few weeks. The Lord has been working on my heart and I have been deep in thought continually. I’ve been thinking about everything and have had heavy days and days of pure joy. God is so good and is working to make me a better Christian. Needless to say, I haven’t had much of anything to write about lately. I’m sorry for my absence and all I can ask is for patience.

I’m working desperately on my patience at the moment and am having to step away from social media and the like for a bit. I’m not gone, I could write up a post tomorrow. I just don’t know at the moment and I’m taking it day by day right now, just waiting on the Lord.

Don’t worry, everything is very good right now.  I am closer to the Lord than ever before and am thankful to be His child.

When the time is right, I’ll be back!

Well, I was going to post something amazing today, but in light of things I think I need to do some talking.

And it’s still amazing.

Six months ago I decided to take this blogging thing seriously and wanted to give my blogger blog a new look. I couldn’t decide how to go about it and quite frankly it can cost a small fortune to do it. I had some money to work with and decided to look around.

One of my favorite blogs happens to be Nourishing Days. I love the way Shannon writes, I love her perspective on life, and it’s great to keep up with her blog. I noticed one day that her hubby Stewart designs and creates web sites. Let’s just say I had a light bulb moment.

No sooner did the thought cross my mind than did I inquire about his web services. I got a quick response and after a few emails, we got started. He created my last site and now he’s done this one. I can’t be more pleased, both with the blog itself and with Stewart.

He is great to work with, patient, and is always (ALWAYS) willing to answer questions. Everything that I’ve asked, “Stewart, can we do this, this, and THIS???” he’s done and then some. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

If you are a blogger, wanting to be a blogger, or even just need a web site built for your company, heck if you have a friend that needs web services contact Stewart. You will be glad you did and you will LOVE your new blog/site.

I hope you enjoy my new space, I love the layout and how personalized it is. Sometimes blogs can feel so sterile and I felt my last one was not quite me. I was trying to look like other blogs and well, ya know, trying to be somethin’ your not just doesn’t work. I love my new design and I think it’s rather home-y, inviting, and FUN!

Hello friends.

It’s been a busy week around here and quite frankly, I’m just exhausted. There was no rest when we came home from our trip and I’m perpetually trying to catch up. We’re getting about a dozen eggs a day now and so we have an abundance. I’ll be making a sign this week and getting ready to be selling these little round balls of goodness. You just can’t beat a farm fresh egg. So good.

Not only did we come back to the farm only to be workin’ like crazy, but we also had Leah’s first birthday party this past weekend. It was great, but was a little much considering we’ve only been able to get the place ready for a few days before guests arrived. Leah’s actual birthday is tomorrow, I can’t believe she’s already one! Time flies…

Gus and Penny are HUGE and this Fall is going to be the time when our freezers become full with wonderful organic beef. Can’t wait to just be able to shop my freezer instead of the store. I was pleasantly surprised to see that a few squash plants survived the flooding disaster and we’ll have a small harvest this Summer. Better something than nothing as I like to say. Our lovely pomegranate tree has been trying to bless us with fruit, but the darn birds keep thwarting that effort. We currently have one pomegranate on the tree and I’m hoping to at least get to eat one.

Our other fruit and nut trees are doing well and we should be getting some plums here in the next week or two. I bought my first dehydrator last week and am HIGHLY anticipating getting to use it. Hopefully in the next week or two some things will be finished the house that I’ll show off. It will be so nice, but I’m gonna keep my lips closed on this one.

We’ve had a nice welcome home and I do have to apologize for my lack of posting this past week. I’ve just been so tired and so have had to spend my energy doing things that need to be done.

It’s a hard morning here on the farm. I’ve got to go grocery shopping and unpack and just plain ol’ get back to work! So with that said, I’m leaving you with a few pics of what we came back to and then I’m off to start my day.

The only thing that we’ve had success with, grapes. They are delicious and were a lovely surprise when we got home.

We lost two chickens while we were away. It got soooo hot, I’m talking 115! This is the new window we have in our coop. My dad is awesome and he helped us out. It is the second window we have in the coop now and we’re hoping is will help with a cross draft.

The lambs as you can tell have grown like weeds! They are so cute and I wish I could just snuggle their squishy wool. No chance at that happening though. They are as fast as lightning. I’m serious.
