As Marvel readies the release of The Amazing Spider-Man this July, they’ve teamed with Reebok for an anticipatory INSTA PUMP FURY inspired by everyone’s favorite neighborhood web slinger. Dressed up in a red and blue colorway reminiscent of Peter Parker’s iconic ensemble, a Spider-Man logo appears on the pump as well as a tonal spider net graphic on the toe box. Expect to see this collaboration at select retailers including mita starting June 8.

Surface to Air x Riverieras “Dark Zelco” Shoe

Extending from the Lord Zelco style from Rivieras’ Spring/Summer 2012 collection, comes the new
collaborative leisure shoe with Surface to Air appropriately named the Dark Zelco. The stylish slip-on features a variety of colorful woven fabrics which creates a distinct textured pattern that runs on the upper portion of the shoe and is accented nicely by an all-black sole. The Surface to Air x Rivieras Dark Zelco will be available in June at both the New York and Paris S2A stores as well as online.

Nike “Air Yeezy 2″

The highly-anticipated Nike “Air Yeezy 2″ has finally been revealed, and very much lives up to the hype. Hand skived anaconda textured leather quarter panels are embellished with a debossed Vac-Tech Nike Swoosh. The molded rear is sculpted into a series of spikes, while an engineered strap with scaled down spikes ties the feature together. Bringing the inspiration forward from the late 1980′s basketball foundation of the original Nike Air Yeezy, the II is built on the Nike Air Tech Challenge II tennis shoe outsole and celebrates iconic Nike Cross Training silhouettes with the addition of the molded forefoot strap.

Unnecessary padding was eliminated, and the foot-hugging tongue and plush collar are both comfortable and breathable. Concealed but opulent details reference ancient civilizations, including a loop strap with hieroglyphics that spell out ‘YZY.’ Each screw on lace aglet is obelisk shaped, and the anaconda texture is echoed on the eyelets and leather lace toggle that carries the Roman numeral ‘II.’

The Nike Air Yeezy II in both Platinum and Black editions will release June 9, in limited numbers, at select global retailers.

The sleek deconstructed mid-top which made its debut in Vans’ Spring 2012 offering returns with brand new colorways for the Fall 2012 season. Featuring the same hidden gillie lacing system atop a slim vulcanized outsole and tread, the fresh fall collection utilizes a variety of leather uppers as well as canvas textiles. The collection arrives with four colorways that include Wool Black, Stealth Black, Stone Washed Canvas Navy and Saddle Brown. The Vans OTW Stovepipe collection Fall 2012 is set for release this Friday, June 1 at select Vans OTW stockists. Overall it’s a nice departure into a more modern take on the classic Vans silhouette.

Earlier in the year, Nike brought back one of their more unique creations with the Mayfly running sneaker. The shoe was originally designed to last for 100 km of running, but since its return, its been released in more of a lifestyle sense. This latest iteration of the shoe, the Mayfly Woven, is a tier 0 release in both black and grey that sees the sneaker take on a serious woven element, foregoing the normal print design, on the upper part of the shoe. How do you guys feel about these new Woven version of the sneaker?

New Balance Fall 2012 M574 ‘Backpack’ Collection

For Fall 2012, New Balance has rolled out the “Backpack” Collection which consists of five different colorways of their ever-popular 574 model. Featuring tonal logos, ballistic nylon and tan suede details, each shoe also comes with a backpack that contains similar detailing and color palette. Keep an eye out for the school-inspired collection hitting select New Balance retailers at the end of August.

This past winter, Ronnie Fieg released a highly collaborative collection with Caminando, and the duo once again come together for a Spring/Summer 2012 release. The offering includes a custom Nolita model for Fieg and his New York outfitter, Kith. The low-top pairs will come in Leopard, Navy, Black and Slate colorways with pigskin lining that will prove a godsend as the mercury rises. A padded collar, heel tab, waxed laces, and a Goodyear welted sole bring the shoe together beautifully. Tokyo-based outfit Facetasm has released the first part of their “TO BE CRUCIALLY FREE” 2012 Spring/Summer collection with this pair of black suede ‘Monkey Boots’. Featuring black leather insoles and contrasting cream rubber composite soles, the shoes fasten on the outer sides with cross braided yellow and red workboot cord laces.
