Chuck Powell of 98.7 The Peak joins me to discuss the happenings in the world of sports on the Tuesday edition of “The Show To Be Named Later” on Fanster.com.

What other show can point out the differences between legendary American playwright Neil Simon and struggling ASU QB Danny Sullivan? Answer--none.

Segment 1 (0:00) - Week 9 in the NFL is now in the books, and Chuck and I discuss the two faces of the Arizona Cardinals–which both happen to belong to Kurt Warner. And we discuss Anquan Boldin’s latest bellyaching, and what his future with the team after 2009 looks like. And we look at the rest of the league too, including the 8-0 Saints (man, that still sounds weird), the Broncos and their warts, and Larry Johnson’s unceremonious departure from Kansas City.

Segment 2 (22:37) - Quick, name the “signature” college football game to this point of the 2009 season? Betcha can’t, because there hasn’t been one. The college football season continues to disappoint, from matchups to teams, to players. We’ll talk about it here, and discuss the Arizona State QB situation, and why there’s even a remote possibility that Danny Sullivan should start Saturday at Oregon.

Segment 3 (41:13) - The Suns are back from an early-season road trip that saw them go 4-1. We talk about the optimism surrounding the team and we also just touch the surface of the Arizona Diamondbacks and their many offseason needs. (Hint: Lyle Overbay isn’t one of them.)

I’m liking the three-man setup on “The Show To Be Named Later”, so why not roll it out on a Monday? Fanster.com’s Greg Esposito and passionate Phoenix sports fan Eric Myers join me to discuss the weekend that was on STBNL.

Segment 1 (0:00) - The Cardinals stayed undefeated on the road, beating up on the Chicago Bears 41-21 at Soldier Field–and they did it without Anquan Boldin. Is #81 expendable? We’ll talk about that here in segment one.

Segment 2 (26:30) - ASU shut down USC, but lost, while U of A is cruising along down in Tucson, still with an opportunity to win their first ever Pac-10 Championship. We’ll discuss the two schools, and the rest of the landscape in college football, including why the hell was NAU playing Ole Miss in November?

Segment 3 (48:21) - The Phoenix Suns are off to a great start to the season, after beating Boston on Friday night and Washington on Sunday. We’ll talk about what’s going right for the Suns.

It’s Friday, so that means we give you the pumped-up extra large three-man edition of the “Show To Be Named Later” on Fanster.com. Michael Kossett, whom you can catch every week going “Round for Round” on AZCentral.com with Joe Pequeno of 12News, and Luke Lapinski of the Phoenix Coyotes broadcast team and XTRA Sports 910 join me for all the talk in the Phoenix sports scene, and a good number of tangents as well.

Segment 1 (0:00) - We talk college football. ASU is at a fork in the road in their 2009 season, but unfortunately a very angry group of USC Trojans come to town after a humbling loss to Oregon a week ago. Also, Arizona hosts Washington State in Tucson, and we talk about the possibility of U of A running the table as they control their own destiny in the Pac-10 race. Hint: that’s not going to happen, but we talk about the possibility anyway.

Segment 2 (28:11) - It’s a battle of up and down teams this week in Chicago as the Cardinals visit the Bears. Which Cardinal team shows up this week? And what should Coach Whisenhunt do with a less-than-100% Anquan Boldin in Chicago? We also look at some of the more intriguing matchups of the week including Pittsburgh at Denver, Dallas at Philadelphia, San Diego visiting the Giants and Baltimore taking on Cincinnati.

Segment 3 (53:40) - The Phoenix Coyotes got another win on home ice in Glendale, so we discuss why fans still aren’t gravitating towards this hockey team. And we discuss the Phoenix Suns first week of the 2009-10 season.

Chuck Powell of 98.7 The Peak joins me for another edition of the “Show To Be Named Later” on Fanster.com.

Segment 1 (0:00) - The long, drawn-out baseball season felt like it would drag on long enough to allow us to watch the World Series while we ate Thanksgiving dinner. But that won’t happen, the 2009 season came to an end on Wednesday with the New York Yankees beating the Philadelphia Phillies in six games to win their 27th title. Chuck and I discuss Game 6, and I am forced to issue a painful apology to a member of the Yankees.

Segment 2 (26:11) - It’s a big weekend in football for the local teams. The up-and-down Cardinals head to Chicago to take on the up-and-down Bears, and ASU will try to upset the USC Trojans, who are coming off their worst loss in a decade.

Segment 3 (47:48) - We should have seen the Suns’ blowout loss in Orlando coming, and we get into the Marcus Jordan shoe fiasco going on at the University of Central Florida. Is Michael’s son really worth all the trouble (and $3 million)?

Mark Weber (decked out in Yankee pinstripes) joins me for the Wednesday edition of the “Show To Be Named Later” on Fanster.com Let’s just say Web is cautiously optimistic about the Yanks wrapping up their 27th World Series Championship tonight.

Segment 1 (0:00) - Pedro vs. Pettitte tonight in Game 6 of the Series in the Bronx. Can the Yankees wrap it up tonight? Web and I talk about it, and how much pressure will be on the Yanks if the Phillies knot up the series at 3-apiece.

Segment 2 (18:52) - There’s three NBA teams that are still undefeated a little more than a week into the season, and surprise, surprise, the Phoenix Suns are one of them. We discuss the beginning of the Suns’ season, and what’s clicking so far for the guys in purple and orange.

Segment 3 (35:18) - ASU’s getting ready for a visit from the hated USC Trojans on Saturday. The Trojans are down a bit this year, but an angry bunch after getting hammered by the Oregon Ducks by 27 last week. Can ASU find a way to pull the upset? Or more accurately, can ASU find a way to keep it close?
