I did a blog pair of blog posts (part 1 and part 2) way back in the early days of the site that described my two biggest influences, Alan Moore’s Watchmen and the Wildcards series of anthologies.

For the costumes, Al paid close attention to the fashions of the 1940s, and tried to make the Specialists’ clothing look functional as well as flashy. The team serves a dual role as both a fighting force and a propaganda tool, so their clothes had to reflect both duties.

I hear that! My wife and I tend to see movies on Saturday mornings, both because the tickets are cheaper and because the crowds tend to be smaller and less obnoxious.

Um… yes.

Normally, I’m loathe to give away those kinds of details, but I’ll make an exception here. Geist was Baron von Schaedel’s first attempt to revive a dead soldier. It didn’t quite work as intended, and Ingo ended up trapped in a state between life and death.

I’d like to see Battleship; but I’m going to wait until it comes to DVD because, frankly, the movie audiences these days are the bane of my movie-going experience.
