It's that time again! Here is my 10 on 10 for July! I am so thankful for this link-up because it pushes to me edit more than one personal photo per day (for my 365 project.) Now to catch up on 5 million other projects and family events. Oy!

We had a busy day! Pre-K in the morning (we go to a year-round school), the playground and lots of friends and neighbors to visit with! A few ouchies, but thankfully, we recovered. Whew!

My computer is so loaded down right now that I barely have room to take one photo a day, much less ten. I think I took 15 today. . . so there were slim pickings. Here are some snippets from our day and I'm linking them up to Rebekah's A Bit of Sunshine for this month's 10 on 10.

It's the 10th again and I'm linking up with the lovely Rebekah over at A Bit of Sunshine for this month's 10 on 10. Today was Miles' first day back to school after being out since last Thursday with a nasty virus. Our house is full of giggles and lots of conflict again which is a good sign that we are slowly, but surely on the mend. Spring we are waiting for you!!

I'm going to admit it. There are many, many moments with my children when I look over at my husband and ask, "whose idea were they???"

We spend the next few minutes pointing fingers.

Then, there are those really fun, 'relive your childhood' moments where nobody's screaming and whining and those little monsters are down. right. precious. and I'm all like, "Oh yeah, it was totally my idea."

Yesterday was one of those moments. :)

These were taken yesterday on the 10th, but not one every hour. I'd really have to have my crap together for that! We had a lazy Sunday spent indoors due to some icky rain-ice combo. I am so okay with lazy. :)

I absolutely adore lifestyle photography. Less posed, more real. Can you imagine having these type of photos of your grandparents when they were kids? Not just the smiley vacation shot, but a glimpse into what their everyday looked like? This year I'm going to try and give you a glimpse into our life (the good, the bad and the ugly) on the 10th of each month.

I'll show you my messy house, my unfinished projects, my chaos, our ups and downs. . . Will you show me yours? Link up to the lovely Rebekah here.

Oh, it's been so long since I've linked up to another blog! I definitely have been absent on blogger this fall/winter, but hope to get back into it because I love following along AND playing along. Today I'm linking up to three of my old faves. If you haven't. . .go check them out!

It's always so tough to go through and pick favorites, but these made the cut. ;) If you want to play along go pick out your top 12 and write why you like/chose them. You can find all the rules in the above links!

1. My little mermaid. I've seen bath shots a million times, but I really wanted to get one of Stella because while Miles absolutely HATES getting his hair wet/washed, Stella loves it. She could sway her head back and forth in the bath for an hour. She always looks so relaxed. Heck, in the winter months. . . we take baths for fun around here!

2. Joy on steps.

Happy kids=happy momma.

3. Lopsided, but full. The heart on the sidewalk. Me.

A day with my girl while Miles was at school. Chalk drawings and flower picking. It was so fun.

4. Chocolate face. I think he just finished a chocolate, ice-cream bar. He was pretty pleased about it, too. I love the senior photo pose with chocolate moustache look. ;0

5. Sun on the Sidewalk. This feels like childhood to me.

6. The Christmas Snuggle. This one really makes me laugh. I had just picked up the camera and told the kids to lay/sit in front of the tree so I could get a picture. I hadn't even gotten my settings right. If I remember right my shutter speed was really low because I hadn't jacked up my ISO yet. Before I could get it all straight, Stella leaned over and smelled Miles. Yep, she wasn't snuggling at all. She tells us he smells like pudding. This is a running joke because she tells us we all smell like pudding. I guess there could be worse things to smell like. I added a grain to mask my camera shake. It was too cute of a shot not to use. :)

7. Rainbow in the snow. I really like the contrast of the dreary winter day and her bright jacket and rainbow pants. I love that the snow is in focus and that she is not.

This girl loves the snow! Wish I did. :)

8. Penny for your thoughts. My boy. He keeps me on my toes, but I love him and his soulful eyes more than than all the stars in the sky.

9. Stella doing macro. Another day with my little lady while Miles was at school. We did a photowalk and she used an old point and shoot that we had laying around. I can't tell you how happy it made me that she enjoyed taking pictures with me.

10. Grimy Garden boy. A fun memory of Miles planting in the garden with his dad swiming in our kiddie pool. He was filthy and didn't care!

11. Thoughtful. Okay, I know this is technically not a great photo. I should have had extra space to her other side where she is looking or I could have cropped it all together, but I'm lazy. This is how I took it. I wanted the door to the garge in there because my kids both sat on that little step all. the. time. We moved this fall and I'm gonna miss that little spot.

12. Over it. I just took this one on Christmas Eve day. I call this his "done with pictures" face. Both of my kids are pretty good sports about taking pictures so I try not push it when they're not into it. I quickly put the camera away after this. Oy!

Oh goodness, I am still doing some major catch-up around here!
There are a lot of great things about being married to Jeff, but one of the best things is the family that came with him! Meet my beautiful niece, Kelly, and her handsome fiance, Sam. They are probably two of the sweetest people I know and I can't wait to celebrate their big day in March! xoxo

My list of newborns that I have photographed is VERY short. Thank goodness my friends make beautiful babies! Meet Lucy. I am over the moon excited for my her parents. They did real, real good.

One of my first lifestyle mini sessions of the season! This adorable little guy just turned one and oh yes, I'm going to say it. . . he was so much fun! So was his mom. I loved that she wanted photos just of him in his element. So much better than a fake background, in my opinion.

Slowly getting caught up on blogging. Here is my first wedding! I'm not sure I'm suited for the no-do-overs stress of weddings, but this one was for a dear friend and she was the most beautiful bride ever! Of course, her handsome groom made her look even better. The joy I felt on this day not only radiated from those adorable lovebirds, but also from their amazing and supportive family and friends. It pretty much knocked my socks off.

Don't worry, it's not me! I have THREE friends expecting babies in November and December and I couldn't be more excited!! Not just because I adore babies, but I get to photograph all of them! I can't wait to capture those tiny fingers and toes and get me some baby snuggles!

In anticipation (mine!), here are a few quick shots of one of my besties' adorable nursery.

It is absolutey perfect . . . just like baby Podster is going to be.

Life has gotten so crazy around my house that I haven't had much time to photograph anything other than my sessions. I need to remedy that soon, but in the meantime, here's another beautiful and loving family that I met through ECFE. I'm pretty lucky to know such amazing people. . .
