Tunics

I came across the Sulu Collection while I was still living in New York, and the tunics were some of the best I had ever tried. The fit is narrow, and the embroidery beautiful. Some styles fit a little wider if you have more curves, but for the most part they are fitted.

Easy

A jeweled or embroidered tunic is such an easy piece to have in your wardrobe. All you have to do is pair it with white denim and you’re off to dinner. I like when getting dressed is a thought – free … easy experience. There’s nothing worse than a closet battle when you’re trying to get out the door.

I walked into Ulta the other day when the ck one makeup caught my eye. It was the packaging more than anything. The clean lines, the black and white packaging stood out in the sea of color.

I bought a gloss white eye shadow pencil, which I happen to be loving right now! I also bought a liquid liner in a brownish copper color. It’s a great base liner, and is very easy to put on. So far, I’m impressed. The nail colors also looked really fun, though I didn’t buy one yet. If you get a chance you should give it a look-see.

Beat The Heat

The Summer can be brutal on hair, especially if your hair is chemically treated. Think about your hair the same way we’ve been trained to think about our skin = protect it. I’m a bit of a Fekkai addict. I love their Summer products (which are only available at certain times of the year). I use the mask when I’m out by the pool to protect, and deep condition. I’ve also recently been using the Technician Color Care Conditioner to restore my hair, because it has been a little dried out. They both have worked wonders. My hair feels smooth, bouncy, and beautiful. It’s not flat or greasy.

Simplicity

This year, a simple leather flip-flop is all you need. TKEES really started the trend, but now you can get leather flip-flops almost anywhere. Gap has a great pair, in a million colors. That’s what I love about the leather flip-flop – they come in a bunch of colors and they are cheap enough that you can get a few pairs.

So far, I have black and sea green. I’m definitely getting a nude, and a metallic.

Honestly, the only reason to get her college football paraphernalia is if she’s a die-hard. Otherwise … OMG … just don’t. I get that the company is trying to latch onto anything to make a sale, but good god man – STOP! This is all a man would need to see to somehow convince himself that he now knows exactly what to get the woman who pushed his three kids out of her VAGINA. Trust me, if you want to survive … you better think beyond the college football tee.

I’m not saying you can NEVER buy her a cute college football tee, just not for Mother’s Day.

Let me break it down for those men who are trying to justify the purchase in their head …

acceptable

It is acceptable for a side gift. It is acceptable if she is accompanying you to a football game. It is acceptable if she sets her alarm clock on Saturday morning so she doesn’t miss Game Day.

It is NOT acceptable if you’re hoping this will entice her into liking football. It is NOT acceptable because it’s a gift you would love to receive. It won’t make it any better if you tell her she’ll look hot in it.
