His series,  ”The Hood” has a very modern take on mid-century architecture and a Palm Springs vibe…or Arizona (he’s from Arizona). :) Anyhow, his work is kick ass and of course, we are partial to anything mid-century.

We’ve been wanting to watch “901: after 45 years of working” for some time now, but not really wanting to buy the dvd. Fast forward to today and we actually found the entire video online, directly from Eames Demetrios’s site, DAS Film Fest.

We were mostly excited to watch this video because it is one of, if not the most detailed view and glimpse into the office/lives of Charles and Ray Eames. It was surprising how sad we actually got watching it, seeing all of their treasures, works and essentially their lives being packed away and sent off to various museums and libraries. The significance of the work that was done in 901 Washington Blvd is very transparent in the film.

Ok, so go watch the video, seriously. It will be an awesome weekend treat. :)

Not only are the recipes scrumptious, but the photography and site design is so simple, so clean, so inspiring. Sharon’s boyfriend Mike Matas took all the photos and put together this awesome little trailer for Sharon’s new site. You should also make sure and visit Mike’s site, as his videos, stop-motions and photos are out of this world, sometimes literally.
