Boyfriend has a job interview at Chinatown, so I accompanied him there. First time see so many FEF.com's grand opening stands! Got my designs too. Hehe.

National Day 2012

We can't be staying at home since it's National Day, right? Must go out to see fireworks!

We were there early.

And it was already quite crowded at MBS.

We have planes flying in the sky.

Of course, I still like the fireworks we saw at Taiwan during New Year's Day.

Eat: Paradise Inn

I must admit that this is my first time at Paradise Inn. Boyfriend have been telling me the food here is good but I never did step inside.

Be prepared to pay a few bucks for the peanuts.

I had sweet potato porridge to go with the dishes instead of rice.

Eggplant with Salted Fish, I love eggplants and it must be cooked till soft!

Hotplate Tofu, the outer skin is fragrant while the inner part is smooth. So good~!

Coffee Pork Ribs, the coffee taste was a little too strong for us and I realise that two dishes is enough to fill our tummies. The pork ribs came late, too much of it really make you feel sick of it. I would think that the small plate of pork ribs is actually enough for 4 person.

Eat: Itacho Sushi

Stepped into Itacho Sushi for the first time.

I was quite intimidated by the prices on the menu. One piece of sushi can cost like a $10 or even more. Oh wow... The ingredients must be super fresh from Japan. They do really have a lack in service standards here, pay so much but you don't feel like you are being served properly. 10% service charge of the total amount of food ordered? Seriously, their service needs a lot of improvement.

Mentaiko egg.

Chawanmushi with Crab Meat.

Swordfish with truffle.

Salmon sashimi.

Fried tempura.

Scallops! I love the scallop sushi, naturally sweet and oh-so-melt-in-my-mouth. If I ever do come back again, I'm only going to order the scallop ones.

8 Degrees Taiwanese Bistro

Really missed Taiwan food and boyfriend brought me to 8 Degrees Taiwanese Bistro (八度空间).

Minced meat rice.

Mee sua.

Fried oyster egg.

To conclude: The food is nothing like those we had in Taiwan, far from it. What a disappointment. *sad face*

Must find better Taiwanese food in Singapore!

So we're at MBS today! Guess where are we going?

Found my twin on the way to the destination.

The sky may look clear in the pictures but it has been drizzling non-stop. My new shoes are going to get wet soon.

And of course, you'll see lots of flowers. Mostly orchids though.

One thing I don't like about this place: the plants are not fully grown yet, and you'll see soil and fertilizers. Like eww?

Ah yes! Here's the Supertree. A senseless structure to me, it like making a huge plant arrangement.

Yes, we bought tickets to the 2 domes, do flash your NTUC or Passion cards if you want a 10% discount.

The waterfall that you will see once you step inside the Cloud Forest dome. Do remember to bring along your jacket, it's very cold inside.

Then it was dinner at Aloha Ma Maison! I've been looking forward to dine at the restaurant for a long time.

Bring the wooden surfboard to the cashier for payment.

The pancakes with fruits! Love it, love it! So fluffy! Comes together with three different types of syrup - maple, coconut and grapefruit. I want to go back for more!

Pork Katsu Loco Moco was good, although I would love to try beef patty but I won't be able to finish it all by myself.

Met up with the gang from FEF for Korean BBQ dinner! Although boyfriend has already reserved a place but the people didn't give us any seat until everyone else is here and Sarah went in to ~~demand~~ ask for it.

Meatttttt! We all love meat! I love the thinly sliced beef most!

We laughed a lot over dinner, all thanks to Mindy. Oh, I missed their laughter, I'm serious. I don't even get to laugh like this at work now.

It has finally arrived!

Love the details... the hourglass is made of thin glass and there is fine glittery sand inside. Love it, love it, love it!

There's even a nice container to keep the necklace.

By the way, I got this from Ebay instead of the exhibition because the ones sold at the exhibition is of bad quality. A sales girl showed me a broken piece and the pendant was made of plastic. Totally not worth your money if you get it there. Look for the gold plated ones and make sure it is from Noble Collection.

Off to JB together with Dad, Mum and boyfriend! Time for some bak kut teh breakfast first.

Shopped at KSL for a little and we sat down for some tea break. I tried the cucumber juice, it was erm... kinda refreshing and somehow weird.

I'm sorry we couldn't take any pictures inside the exhibition but I could tell you that the exhibition was really really fun! Totally amazed by all the costumes and props that was designed, all of those little details. I wish I could bring them home. The people inside the pictures are moving. I pulled a screaming young mandrake out of the pot.

I was famished after we were done with exhibition and we decided to dine in Sushi Express. It’s $1.50++ for any plate of sushi or dessert on the conveyor belt, including free flow of green tea, wasabi and ginger. But you are limited to 1 hour, I think most people only take an average of 30 mins to finish their food, so the time limit is quite reasonable.

It's a Monday!

I made a good breakfast for myself, makes me happy. I now look forward to breakfast everyday. There's half a slice of charcoal bread, sunny-side-up and a hotdog. Milo and honey drink at the side and not forgetting my daily vitamins.

Prawn kway teow soup for lunch, I have to emphasize that I don't have to pay for it! I just love emphasizing that fact. =P

Breakfast was a slice of cinnamon sugar toast and a cup of Milo.

Had to work as there is an event at the company today, just to press a 'switch' so that the powerpoint slides will change. I wish the GM wasn't so spoilt, I'm serious. Just a button and we had to be there for 3 hours... Hmm...

Root beer break before the event start together with my colleague.

I actually slept for hours after I got to boyfriend's house. I didn't know I was lacking sleep. 7 hours a day not enough?
