Get the District 12 look when COVERGIRL unveils its new Hunger Games: Catching Fire makeup collection; a first of its kind, this fall.

The beauty brand which hosts celeb spokesmodels such as Sofia Vergara, Ellen DeGeneres and Queen Latifah, recently singed a deal with the film to produce a line of cosmetics; titled the Capitol Collection- based on the second installment of the Hunger Games franchise: Catching Fire. This deal marks the first movie partnership for the beauty brand.

Make-up artists on set coincidentally use the brand’s products to transform Jennifer Lawrence into Katniss Everdeen, as well as the rest of the cast into their respective characters. COVERGIRL has referred to the on-set transformations as “luxurious, high couture looks.”

If the collection looks anything like Effie Trinket, I’m expecting bright, bold, dramatic hues. How exciting!

The Capitol Collection is expected to hit stores this fall, coinciding with the film’s November 22nd release date. So makeup lovers, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer…sigh. Ads for the collection are expected to be unveiled soon.

The “Pour It Up” singer posted a photo of herself with a section of luscious golden waves, cascading across her right eye. Captioning the photo, “I woke up in a new…weave!”

RiRi’s latest hairstyle is just in time for highlighting and tanning season. Can we say, “summer”? Known for a variety of hairstyles, this “bad girl” has rocked them all. Remember 2007′s razor cut bob during her “Umbrella” days? Or what about the half-shaved look that the Caribbean-born singer rocked back in 2009? Then there was the adorable, dark pixie cut that she showed off at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards. And who could forget that fire engine shade of red from November 2012?

Needless to say, the hair styles worn by Chris Brown’s former flame have been quite memorable. For now, the 25-year-old is going with a seasonally appropriate hue. And I’ve got to say, it looks great!

Teen Vogue‘s newest cover girl, Nicki Minaj discusses what life what like before she became famous. In the magazine’s June issue, which is available May 21, the Trinidadian-born, American rapper recalls her teenage years and casts similarities between the music industry and high school.

Nicki, Roman, or whichever personality fans of the crazy-haired rapper identify her with, grew up in New York’s Queens borough and attended Manhattan’s famed La Guardia High School.

Outspoken, with a vivacious personality to boot- Nicki tells the magazine, “I was a jokester. I let everything roll off my back.” “I always felt like I had other things going on in my life outside of school, like church and extracurriculars- I was even on the softball team.” At one point, the very unique 30-year-old has an admission in the interview, saying, “High school was the first time I felt like I really fit in. Everyone there was creative. For once, I didn’t feel like there was something weird about me.”

Something else Nicki recollects about high school? How eerily similar it is to the music industry, and the people that comprise it. “People treat this business like it’s high school. It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can’t be bothered.” Adding, “I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry.”

Hmm, I wonder if that statement in any way references her frequent feuding with fellow American Idol judge, Mariah Carey?

Whether it was a dig or not, Nicki does raise a valid point: Sometimes maturity doesn’t always come with age.

Selena and her family are absolutely over the moon about the new baby. Selena will finally become a big sister, and her parents will at long last have a child of their own. In 2011, the couple was previously expecting a child, but sadly miscarried.

No word on how far along Selena’s mom is in her pregnancy, but the 20-year-old “Come & Get It” singer proudly announced the joyous news on Twitter yesterday. In a photo of the look-alike mother-daughter duo, Gomez is seen lovingly holding her mom’s baby bump with the caption, “Hope all the amazing moms had a great day! I have the best momma in the world I love you so much!”

Gomez was raised by her single mom Mandy; she and Selena’s father Ricardo Gomez divorced when the former Disney star was 5. Growing up in a broken home, Selena reflects on how hard it was saying, “I was frustrated that my parents weren’t together, and never saw the light at the end of the tunnel where my mom was working hard to provide a better life for me.” “It’s because of my mom that I can do things on my own.”

What a sweet tribute. Congratulations to the expectant mommy and big sister-to-be.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, was spotted around town in London the other night displaying her “genetic” sense of style. Big sister Kate set the UK fashion scene on fire when she wed Prince William in 2011, and continues to do so with her flawless maternity looks.

However it was Pippa’s most recent fashion choice that sparked conversation. The lively 29-year-old spent Friday evening with friends at a member’s only club; Lou Lou’s in Mayfair. She partied with friends until about 2:30am when she was seen exiting the club and grabbing a cab home.

Arriving in a pair of bright pink Aztec-print pants, a black shirt, with cream colored blazer- Pippa was indeed styled for a spring night out. Middleton accessorized her look with a long gold necklace and tiny cream clutch; a la sister Kate.

While the outfit itself doesn’t necessarily scream “club attire”- it definitely is comprised of pieces that are functional for every day wear. My favorite piece? The pants. They’re perfect for dressing up or dressing down, for a multitude of occasions. Pair it with a plain tee and a pair of flats for a casual day, or throw on a more fitted blouse and some heels when you need a going out outfit.

Zach Sobiech, a 17-year-old high school senior from Minnesota, has fast become an internet sensation as well as an inspiration to million. Sobiech currently suffers from Osteosarcoma; a rare and deadly form of bone cancer- and is approaching his final days of life.

Diagnosed in 2009, Zach has become a beacon of hope for those afflicted with the disease- and for any one really who has heard the teen’s story.

When faced with the grim news last May that he only had one year to live, Zach turned to music. Having played the guitar since he was 12, the courageous teen wrote his farewell song titled “Clouds”, in hopes to inspire other children living with the same form of cancer- nn addition to raising awareness and funds for Osteosarcoma research.

With a little help from his local radio station, the video for “Clouds” was created and posted on Youtube in December 2012. Since then the video has gone viral, having received over 2 million views, and garnering the attention of those from website, Soul Pancake.

In a recent video from Soul Pancake, several celebrities collaborated to pay tribute to Zach Sobiech’s moving lyrics and courageous fight. Stars like Ashley Tisdale, Jason Mraz, and Colbie Caillat are just a few of the many that teamed together to serenade Zach.

We all too often overlook the idea that heroes are among us every day, Zach is a true testament to that.

There’s something that 27-year-old Carly Rae Jepsen has always wanted to do, and in a photo posted on Instagram yesterday, the singer proves she’s finally done it.

“I’ve always wanted to go red!”, Jepsen gushed, after she posted a picture of herself showing off her fiery new ‘do on Instragram, Tuesday, May 7. The Canadian songstress recently dyed her normally brunette locks red and seems to be loving the change.

But it’s not just her, fans of the “Call Me Maybe” singer have also approved of the new ginger shade. The photo, which was posted just one day ago shows Jepsen posing with her right foot in the air, dressed in a white sleeveless dress with pink belt, has already received close to 64,000 “likes”.

And while the singer’s hair color may have changed, the cut remains the same. Jepsen styled her hair in a half-up, half-down ‘do, while signature blunt bangs hung low across her forehead.

Jepsen joins a bevy of other celebs who have also partaken in the latest hair trend. Actress Rachel McAdams made headlines, when she debuted her scarlet hued locks at an event in April.

On-again, off-again couple Chris Brown and Rihanna, are off-again…at least for the time being. In what hopeful fans believed was a fated reunion between the two singers, alas Chris Brown announced the “shocking” news that the two had split, in a recent interview with Australian radio show, The Kyle and Jackie Show.

When probed about his relationship with 25-year-old Rihanna and whether or not she attended any of the singer’s multiple birthday celebrations (Brown turned 24 on Sunday, May 5), the “Fine China” singer responded, “Imma do it solo.” “I mean, at the end of the day, shawty doing her own thang, she on the road. It’s always gonna be love. I’m a grown man, just gotta fast forward.”

The two first made on-again headlines when they publicly attended the Grammys together in February. Sitting next to each other and snapped in affectionate moments throughout the night, it seemed Chris’ recent split from then girlfriend Karrueche Tran, was purely a thing of the past and that he and Rihanna were officially back together.

Fast forward two months and it seems the tables have turned, only slightly. Over the weekend the singer celebrated his 24th birthday, with multiple parties in multiple cities: L.A., Las Vegas, and NYC. None of which were attended by Rihanna, as Chris explained on the radio that she’s currently touring. Interestingly enough though, Brown’s ex, Karrueche Tran was there to celebrate at the Hollywood bash. But don’t jump to any conclusions just yet, because sources say the two partied separately.

As for what the future ( or tomorrow) may hold for the “Nobody’s Business” singers, Chris said, “I’m always gonna love that person. I can’t be focused on wife-ing someone that young. I need to be the best Chris Brown I can be.” While an insider from Rihanna’s camp quipped, “Of course tomorrow they could be all over each other again, but for now she’s done and just living her life and touring. It’s how it always is.”

Justin Bieber was attacked, well not some much attacked but more like approached, during his concert in Dubai on Sunday night.

The overzealous fan was a young man dressed in jeans and a white T-shirt.  He ran onto the stage and briefly yanked Bieber, who managed to break free.  The 19-year-old superstar  was singing “Believe” at a piano, he still finished the show and sang “Baby” as an encore.

The footage of the incident shows security guards rushing onstage to help, knocking the grand piano off its podium, before dragging the intruder offstage.
