Se Lario si rivolge esclusivamente al mondo femminile, Lorenzo Banfi e Sutor Mantellassi sono in grado soddisfare i desideri maschili con punti di vista differenti. Se infatti per entrambi i brand la componente qualitativa è massima, Banfi rispecchia un gusto decisamente più classico ( assolutamente vicino al mio gusto personale), Sutor Mantellassi invece risponde maggiormente ai trend attuali.

MFW DAY 2. MINT PANTS

For the second day of the Milano Fashion Week, I decided to focus on teal pants, a color that I like very much and that makes me think about the upcoming spring . Don't you think that just a linen shirt and teal pants look would just be perfect?
However considering that is February, I kept the feet on the ground matching them with dark brown sweater and tie.
The definitely "in" pieces in my look?
The Santoni model "Roma" shoes (from the new spring-summer 2012 collection) and the Miramar Top Gun IWC watch that IWC borrowed me for this fashion week. This watch will be available in stores starting from the next months and is therefore such a great honor for me to be able to wear it!

Per il secondo giorno della Milano Fashion Week ho deciso di puntare su pantaloni verde acqua, un colore che mi piace davvero moltissimo e che mi rimanda alla primavera. Non trovate che sarebbe anche solo perfetto un look camicia in lino bianca-pantaloni verde acqua?

Dal momento che però siamo ancora in febbraio ho cercato di rimanere con i piedi per terra abbinando maglione e cravatta marrone scuro.

I pezzi decisamente "in" del mio look?

Le Santoni modello "Roma" ( direttamente dalla collezione spring-summer 2012) e il nuovo Miramar Top Gun che mi è stato prestato da IWC per questa settimana della moda. Questo orologio sarà disponibile nei negozi a partire dai prossimi mesi ed è quindi un grande onore per me poterlo sfoggiare in anteprima!

FAUSTO PUGLISI I LOVE YOU!

One of the best event of the second day of my Milano Fashion Week was the presentation of the new collection of Fausto Puglisi.
Starting with this fashion week, I decided to attend only those events that really interest me, leaving out anything that is less akin to my tastes. The invites are growing and unfortunately I am getting older and I can't stand frenetic rhythms anymore. = D

Fausto Puglisi is a genius, a true genius. In addition to his skills able to take the breath away is a very sweet and kind person. My words may seem trivial since Fausto already got famous worldwide but I matured this ideas since the first time I met him.

Keep it up Fausto, you're the best!

Uno degli eventi che ha segnato la seconda giornata della mia Fashion Week è stata la presentazione della nuova collezione di Fausto Puglisi.

Con questa FW ho deciso di iniziare a partecipare solo agli eventi che realmente mi interessano, tralasciando tutto ciò che è meno affine ai miei gusti. Gli inviti aumentano e io purtroppo invecchio e non riesco piu a reggere certi ritmi. =D

Fausto Puglisi è a parer mio un genio, un genio vero. Oltre alla sua bravura nel creare abiti capaci di togliere il fiato è una persona dolcissima e disponibile. Le mie parole potranno sembrare banali dal momento che Fausto sta ottenendo un successo pazzesco ma, al contrario, sono riflessioni che ho maturato fin dalla prima volta che l'ho incontrato.

Continua così Fausto, sei grande!

GUCCI FASHION SHOW FALL-WINTER 2012-2013

Yesterday I started the fashion week in the best way, In fact I began with Gucci fashion show: the perfect start. Don't you think?

Gucci offers such a dark and opulent but also romantic atmosphere.

A lot of black and dark colors like burgundy and bottle green, a lot of velvet, transparencies, fur and feathers.

The women are charismatic and almost untouchable like twenty-first century ladies of the manor.

It's been a truly beautiful fashion show and a great emotion too.

Ieri ho iniziato la fashion week al meglio, partecipando alla sfilta di Gucci. Diciamo quindi un inizio di settimana della moda decisamente perfetto.

Gucci propone un'atmosfera decisamente dark e opulenta ma al tempo stesso romantica.

Tanto nero e colori scuri come il bordeaux e il verde bottiglia. Tanto velluto, trasparenze, pellicce e piume.

Donne apparentemente carismatiche e inavvicinabili: castellane del XXI secolo.

Davvero una sfilata bellissima, davvero una grande emozione.

MY FIRST PAIR OF SANTONI SHOES

In the last two days I could get closer to the Santoni world, a splendid example of "Made in Italy" (the real one).

On monday I was welcomed to their showroom located in Via Montenapoleone, where I got crazy among those amazing shoes. =D

In addition to this, yesterday I was invited to the boutique where I could choose a pair of shoes from the new spring-summer collection. With no hesitation I opted for a pair of aged and slightly shabby-chic loafers called "Roma". Do you approve my choice?

The fashion week is starting today and the highlight of my day is Gucci show. Can't wait!

Ps: At the end of the post there are some models I spotted at the showroom that drive me crazy.

In questi ultimi due giorni ho potuto conoscere da vicino il mondo Santoni: splendido esempio del "Made in Italy"( quello vero ).

Lunedì infatti sono stato accolto nello showroom di via Montenapoleone dove il mio sguardo non sapeva più su quale paio di scarpe posarsi. =)

Ieri invece sono stato invitato in boutique dove ho potuto scegliere un paio di scarpe della nuova collezione primavera-estate. Senza esitazione ho optato per un paio di mocassini modello "Roma" dall'aria invecchiata e vagamente shabby-chic. Approvate la mia scelta?

Oggi inizia la fashion week e il clou della mia giornata sarà da Gucci. Can't wait!

TOUCH OF RED.

I have a crazy bad luck in terms of reflex and connected lately. Before the new 7D and now the 50 mm 1.4, that I use to take the 99% of the photos that you see on the blog, ig giving me problems.

In fact, before making these shots, the lens's fallen from about 10 cm. The result? The photos you can see in this post: very blurry and fuzzy. Obviously I have already left the lens to the Canon center and it will be ready on Tuesday. Let me just say that me and the girls of the Canon Center are now friends! =D

Let's consider the look now. Since I had to spend an afternoon of study I decided to dress without exaggerate to much. The only intense color? The coral red cashmere pullover . I finally revived my Prada Saffiano leather briefcase. I really care about this bag bag because it's the very first purchase I made with the first money the blog assured me. What is the craziest purchase you've ever done?

Ultimamente ho una sfiga pazzesca in fatto di reflex e connessi. Prima la nuova 7D che mi dà problemi ora il 50 mm 1.4, grazie al quale scatto il 99% delle foto che poi pubblico sul blog. Infatti, prima di realizzare questi scatti, l'obiettivo è caduto da circa 10 cm danneggiandosi e garantendo le foto che vedete in questo post: poco nitide e molto sfuocate. Ovviamente ho già lasciato il 50 mm a riparare e sarà pronto martedì. Diciamo pure che le ragazze del Canon Center sono ormai mie amiche! =D

Passiamo al look. Dal momento che dovevo trascorrere per un pomeriggio di solo studio ho deciso di vestirmi senza strafare. Unica nota di colore? Il pull in cashmere color rosso corallo.

Ho poi tirato fuori dall'armadio la mia fedele briefcase in Saffiano di Prada. Sono affezionatissimo a questa borsa perchè è il primo vero acquisto fatto con i miei soldi, reso possibile grazie ai primi guadagni che il blog mi ha garantito. Qual è l'acquisto più pazzo che avete fatto?

NEW SHOES: SUPERGLAMOUROUS BABOUCHE

Few days ago a received at home a super nice gift: a pair of Superglamourous Babouche, a new born brand of superfine handmade shoes. The easy–to–pick–out products are made by Italian shoemakers and the manufacturing process, called "a guanto", consists of sewing backwards each part of the babouche and turning them round again at he result of this long process is a extremely flexible and skintight babouche.

I can't wait for Spring to start to be able to wear them! The design is cool ( a really like the over-size tassels ) and they are comfy to wear.

Are you curious? Let's open the box ( Yes, it's my latest way of saying =D ).

Alcuni giorni fa ho ricevuto a casa un regalo: un paio carinissimo di Superglamourous Babouche , un nuovo brand italiano di scarpe artigianali.

Non vedo davvero l'ora che sia primavera per poterle finalmente indossare! Il design è davvero piacevole ( belle le nappine over-size) e sono proprio comode da indossare.

Thanks to a break from the snow and bad weather we can finally welcome the sun. These are the typical days able to awake my desire of spring and milder temperatures. Besides this, it is inevitable to think about what is going to enrich my wardrobe and, just to satisfy this desire, I have already purchased online some items (strictly in pastel colors). Grazie ad una pausa dalla neve e dal cattivo tempo diamo il benvenuto al sole. Sono proprio giornate come queste che risvegliano la mia voglia di primavera e di temperature decisamente più miti. Oltre a questo, risulta inevitabile pensare a cosa andrà ad arricchire il guardaroba e, proprio per soddisfare questa mia voglia, ho già acquistato online un po' di capi rigorosamente dai colori pastello. TIME TO "TIE THE KNOT"

My Canon 7D is back to perfectly work and I really like these pictures so much! Phil and I are working hard to learn how to use the manual mode in the best possible way and we fell a great satisfaction once displayed them on my Mac. Do you like them?

This is the outfit I decided to wear for "Anteprima" fair. It's a comfortable look I enriched with an orange cashmere tie (a tie was not appearing on my blog for very long time) stolen from Phil's closet.

I've already shown this new pair of Belfiore shoes in this post, but due to the low quality of the images, I was not able to do it in the best way. I hope I have caught up! = D

La mia Canon 7D è tornata a funzionare alla perfezione e devo dire che queste foto mi piacciono davvero tantissimo! Phil ed io ci stiamo impegnando per imparare ad usarla al meglio in modalità manuale e non penso ci sia soddisfazione più grande di vedere delle belle foto una volta scaricate sul desktop del Mac. Come le trovate?

Questo è l'outfit che ho indossato in occasione di Anteprima, il salone della pelle. Un look comodo, arricchito però da una cravatta arancione in cashmere (sul blog non compariva una cravatta da moltissimo tempo) rubata dall'armadio di Phil.

Già in questo post vi avevo mostrato per la prima volta le nuove scarpe Belfiore ma, a causa di immagini dalla qualità decisamente bassa, non ero riuscito a farlo nel modo migliore. Spero di aver recuperato! =D

IT'S ALL ABOUT LEATHER!

People that accuse fashion bloggers of total incompetence in fashion sometimes are right. Since the opening of the blog, I've always tried to enrich my level of knowledge in this field reading magazines and books, visiting online magazines and blogs that I consider a good source of inspiration but above all taking part in events and presentations where I can see the products up close. For this reason I couldn't refuse the invitation to discover "Anteprima": a festival dedicated to the world of leather. It's the kind of event event where you can see from close colors, trends, suggestions and materials that will characterize the new fashion collections. Leather represents one of the main field of the Made in Italy and events like this are very important to reiterate the Italian importance and leadership in this area.

Con forse un pizzico di ragione, tante volte i fashion blogger vengono accusati di totale incompetenza in fatto di moda. Per quanto mi riguarda, fin dall'apertura del blog, ho cercato di arricchire il mio grado di conoscenza in questo campo leggendo riviste e libri, visitando magazine online e blog che reputo una buona fonte di ispirazione ma sopratutto prendendo parte a manifestazioni e presentazioni dove è possibile vedere i prodotti da vicino. Non ho potuto quindi rifiutare l'invito a scoprire "Anteprima", una manifestazione interamente dedicata al mondo della pelle, dei componenti per pelletteria e calzature. Insomma un evento dove è possibile vedere da vicino colori, tendenze, suggestioni e materiali che caratterizzeranno le nuove collezioni moda. La pelletteria rappresenta una delle eccellente del nostro Made in Italy e manifestazioni come queste sono importantissime per ribadire l'importanza e la leadership italiana in questo settore.

FREEZING MILAN!

Eccomi finalmente di ritorno qui sul blog, dopo una settimana d'inferno. I motivi? La nuova reflex mi ha dato qualche problema e ho dovuto lavorare moltissimo alla tesi. Sono esausto!!!

Nonostante si prospettino dei mesi molto impegnativi, l'unica cosa di cui avrei veramente voglia è una spiaggia caraibica, il sole, una sdraio e un bel cocktail da sorseggiare! Non avete i miei stessi sogni?

Finalmente sono riuscito a scattare delle foto con le mie nuove Arfango e ho trovato mezz'ora di tempo per un tanto sognato taglio di capelli!

I am finally back here on the blog after a hell week. The reasons? The new camera gave me some problems and I had to work a lot on my thesis. I'm exhausted! Despite very challenging months are waiting for me, I'm just wishing is a Caribbean beach, the sun, a sun bed and a cocktail to sip! Don't you have the same projects?

This is the inconvenience of taking pictures without trusting the weather forecast. My yesterday outfit in fact doesn't fit at all the snow flakes that began to poor down during the shooting. Also thanks to a coat that, only after the first pictures, I realized wasn't matching at all with the rest of the look; I decided to face the weather in a short five minutes of shooting.

Even my new suede loafers that I showed you a few days ago, weren't a super brilliant choice. =)

Leaving apart banal links with the weather, what do you think about the look?

Ecco l'inconveniente di scattare delle foto senza fidarsi delle previsioni del tempo. Il mio outfit di ieri infatti non si accorda per nulla ai fiocchi di neve che hanno iniziato a scendere durante gli scatti.

Complice un cappotto che, soltanto dopo le prime foto, ho capito non abbinarsi per nulla al resto del look: ho quindi deciso di sfidare le intemperie in un breve shooting di cinque minuti.

Anche le mie nuove loafers in suede che vi ho mostrato qualche giorno fa, non sono state una scelta propriamente geniale. =)

Tralasciando collegamenti con il meteo, cosa ne pensate del look?

CASUAL SUNDAY

Yesterday I spent a day between studying and the stalls of a vintage market which is held every last Sunday of the month here in Milan. The result? I didn't buy anything, and I was literally frozen!

Considering that I was totally free from commitments, I opted for a very casual look: super old jeans and Timberland.

What is new? The Woolrich jacket that one a year now entered my own wish list since I tried it directly in the showroom. Do you remember the post where I showed you all the news from Woolrich?

Ieri ho trascorso una giornata divisa tra studio e qualche ora tra le bancarelle di un mercato vintage qui a Milano che si tiene ogni ultima domenica del mese sui navigli. Il risultato? Non ho comprato nulla e mi sono letteralmente congelato!

Vista la domenica libera da impegni, ho optato per un look decisamente casual: jeans e Timberland.

La novità? Il giaccone di Woolrich, ormai da un anno nella mia wish list, quando ho avuto modo di provarlo direttamente in showroom.

Coming back in Milan is even better when you know that there is a box waiting for you to be opened. The content? A Louis Vuitton Taiga Belaia briefcase that Giovanni, one of my readers, sold me.

Isn't beautiful?

I've also decided to match it with a pair of Church's black velvet slippers I haven't worn for a long time and with a pair of red socks, able to give a touch of color to the outfit.

Thanks again Patrizia Pepe for the pants: one of the gifts they sent me for Christmas.

Ritornare a Milano è ancora più bello quando sai che c'è anche una scatola che aspetta solo di essere aperta. Il contenuto? Una briefcase Belaia Louis Vuitton in Taiga che Giovanni, un mio lettore, si è offerto di vendermi.
Non trovate che sia bellissima?

Ho poi deciso di abbinarla con un paio di slippers di Church's nere in velluto che non indossavo da parecchio tempo e con un paio di calze rosse, così da dare un tocco di colore a tutto l'outfit.

Ancora grazie anche a Patrizia Pepe per i pantaloni: uno dei regali che mi hanno inviato per Natale.

MELTIN POT. FALL WINTER 2012-2013. ICONS AND KLSH!

From the 2012-2013 Fall / Winter new collection, Meltin'Pot will structure its collection into two new labels that I have discovered during my stay in Florence during the Pitti.

The collection is in fact divided into two new lines. One called "Icons" traces the footsteps of the traditional male and female models and then there's "KLSH", the new collection that represents a big innovation for the brand: it's a new approach to the world of denim that takes inspiration from tailoring, so destined to become the new "manifesto" of the renewed spirit of the brand. KLSH wants to penetrate the market with an ambitious project made of Japanese denim fabrics, ecological fibers and super competitive prices. The fit? From baggy to skinny! So everyone (including me) will be able to find the perfect piece for us!
