Alternate Kits offers a non-traditional take on the supporter’s t-shirt, freely utilizing puns and making ample use of hyperbole, all at a much lower price than the typical soccer jersey.

The majority of neo-natal circumcisions performed in American hospitals today are done on an elective basis, at the discretion of parents. The American Academy of Pediatrics no longer recommends this procedure, citing “potential medical benefits and advantages as well as disadvantages and risks.” In some cases, either by way of inertia or because of greed, hospital staff sometimes push the surgery on ill informed parents.

What often gets lost in the shuffle is the invasive nature of the procedure and its potential harmful effects on sexual health. Circumcision removes roughly 50% of total penile surface skin, and by some estimates 20,000 - 70,000 specialized nerve endings. In fact studies have shown that this surgical procedure removes some of our best bits.

In my view the solution is simple. If you are ever in charge of a newborn boy’s destiny, spare him the whole of what one will one day become one of his most prized possessions.

It doesn’t seem like I have quite enough patience to spend any appreciable amount of time at xkcd. Patience is, therefore, a virtue.

Saw this on Woothemes Demo Server, which is a totally random place to find content. In case you don’t know, Woothemes is a pretty cool place to find cheap Wordpress themes, which you can use as a basic layout for any website, not just a blog. (Check out one of their themes in action at Spain Soccer Jersey, one of my other sites.)

It’s about time I gave a mention to DesignByHumans. They’ve grown tremendously since I first started blogging, and they are having a post-Christmas clearance. Don’t expect anything earth-shattering in terms of savings, or any monkey business for that matter.

Yes, this t-shirt does exist, and so does the book and the website. Somebody really hates Bill O’Reilly, but I guess it could be worse. You can find more odd and bizarre books at Bookfail.com.

Unbeknown to me, the site was down for two weeks, until I finally figured out there was a problem yesterday. Thanks to a helpful stranger I was able to sort it out.

It might be over by the time you read this, but Threadless is having a 09/09/09 sale, and all tees are only 9 simoleons. I’m getting this one.

I’ve been keeping up with responses to my Post Your T-Shirt Site post, and one of the sites that caught my was Shalom Shirts, dedicated to, you guessed it, tees with Jewish slogans. Sure, some of the slogans may be a bit kitschy, but I won’t quetch. There are many redeeming designs to be found.
