First Panasonic GX1 promo video - YouTube

The upcoming new Panasonic-GX1 has been leaked at Panasonics website (Click here). You will see the introduction video plus some videos shot with the GX1. Hurry! They will probably remove it soon.
UPDATE: The video is now on youtube (you can watch it on top of this post).

As you know our sources told us the camera will be announced in Japan on November 8. The video shows some of the camera specs. Here is what we know so far:
- 16 megapixel sensor (should be the same of the Panasonic G3).
- New Venus engine
- camera has a grip and our sources told us it is a bit tinier than the Panasonic GF1
- ultra fast 0,09 second AF with X lenses.
- built-in flash
- new 1.44k dot external viewfinder.
- Silver and Black body
- 460k and 3 inch LCD screen

We Are Hunted - The Online Music Chart

Recently I've been looking at streaming music sites. and its the usual ones that have been standing out like last.fm and groove shack. However last night I was sent a link to We are Hunted, a cloud based streaming site, with direct account links to Social networking.

In my honest opinion is this is the BOMB, its so easy to use, the selection of Music is fantastic, well presented. Playlist creation is a breeze. and my stereo never sounded better.

For anyone that has moved to streaming playlist instead of downloading. Check this site out, you won't regret it.

Bangkok Transit

When travelling log distances flight shedules usualy force a layover on you some where at some time. Booking ahotel is usually ther perceived option but as budgets are tight and time management frustrating lurking around airports has become a bit of a staple for me. In South East Asia Singapore is the preferred however Bangkok became my next choice as the flights where the most economical. Needless to say I will not be making this mistake again.

Bangkok airport is vast and is a exquisit 4 story building, but containing only the basics, Dutyfree and two food courts at either end. Transit here is not an option as bordom take sover ones experience extremley quickly. two suggestions find a comfy couch and stretch out or what I will be doing on the return leg, $40 will get you a bed for a few hours in the 24hr comfort lounge, well worth the investment.

Ever wanted to know where all the props go from great TV shows, Well I now have the answer, and thanks to ebay you can have a piece of it all to your self. Propwox have been auctioning props, costumes, sets and production assortments via ebay and live auctions for shows such as Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, Caprica, Star Trek and Iron Man. That's pretty cool, I wouldn't mind a life size Cylon in my lounge. If only I had $15,000US

Seems that my old feed for my home page on the site broke with a blog update and integration into AdSense and and amazon shop which I am tweaking currently. However since blogger is now fully integrated with Google now, I am now using Google Feed burner to pump straight into the home page rather than the old third party option.

Now that The Panasonic DMC-GF2 has been released is it time to snap up a bargin and get my self a GF1, or should I wait until the Olympus Pen EP-3 gets the green light, its a tough debate, EP-1 and the EP-2 seem to be holding there heads high, priced more on style than functionality. However I have been looking around at C-Mount adapters and found this little ripper which I'm sure to be picking up in the new year.

OK just to let you all know that I'm not hiding I'm just busy. over the last couple of month things have been rather productive. First of all I entered the Canon Photo5 competition.and spent a gulling 3 weeks learning how to use my camera. I was very happy with the results and will post soon. Unfortunately none where selected for the final round. no matter there is always next year. However since then I have been looking into upgrading or rather downgrading my camera to a micro 4/3 one. on the basis that you can use some very different lenses. and n proportion for this I have acquired a couple of very old Cmount lenses straight off of a Bolex Camera. I'm very excited about my new found love of photography and the ability to mix and mach very old format lenses for different effects.

I have also been putting the final touches to a photo book based on my travels through China. 90% done and then off to the printers.

Currently I am scanning my parents slides which have documented there life from the late 60's onwards. I have bought my self a Plustek Opticfilm 7400 not cheap but does a stellar job at digitising them in. however this could be a full years work as its about a 40minute job to recreate one image perfectly.

Hi Guys well I'm back into the swing of normality, work, sleep, work sleep and to break up the monotony I have started to put together a Photo book of my travels through China. There is some great software out there, the one I am currently trialling is from Blurb Its a matter of culling, its extremely hard but hopefully the end result will be worth it. I'll up date you as I go.

Bugger me these people work. Ok so I'm staying in geylang Singapore's red-light district. I thought that it was an evening profession but these girls work the day shift as well. It makes everything a little intimidating at first but you soon get used to it. Crazy town.

Same Same but Different

Man its good to be back in Nam, hanging out with the olds. Its amazing how different this country feels compared to China. Its been about 8 years since I was here last and today was a good chance to venture out into the city. As much as things have changed in the city and all the construction, the atmosphere and the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh will never change. I do love this place.

Last night I went for a walk. It's probably the first time I've been out late by myself, usually it's a group of us. Anyway didn't the offers come in. Hash, Opium, girls. It just kept coming.
Four weeks I've been floating around China and tonight is the first night I get all these goodies offered to me. And then it dawned on me. This is the first time I have stayed in a hotel instead of a hostel. Hotels do have a tendency to breed prostitution within a 5pm radius.

Last days

I'm sitting here at Paddy's contemplating my last four weeks over a pint of Hoegaarden's. God its gone quick, the pint too! I'm stuffed, it hasn't exactly been a relaxing break, forgot to plan a beach stop you see! Anyways for all accounts it's been awesome. I've seen some cool stuff. I've seen the immense growth and development that has transformed this country.
Oh important note for any one coming. Don't rely on your lonely planet or any other guide book for that matter, by the time you arrive it's out of date!!
I think next time I return it will be Hong Kong, Macau and finish with Hainman Island in a lavish resort.
I could do with a holiday! Serious!!

Ha ha, Friday I hot Saigon for a completely different adventure and some quality time with family.

Today I broke my personal best land speed record. Eclipsing my previous 186km/hour in a 1987 Nissan bluebird set in the mid 90's with a new whopping 392km/hour on the bullet train from Wuhan to Guangzhau, China.
