We have details of the Creamfields South line Up which is already promising a host of famous names on the line-up. The three-day music event is set to take place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex. Last year’s line-up saw the likes of Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Carl Cox take to the stage, with some acts set to return for the 2023 festival.

Last year, Creamfields North welcomed a new stage of 20,000 person capacity – dubbed the ‘Runway’ stage, with a catwalk-like LED screen hanging centrally above ravers’ heads – This year, it debuts at Creamfields South.
One of the biggest events in the UK came to Essex in 2022. Every year, top-tier performers perform at the enormous dance music festival Creamfields, which as of last year has two venues.

The event Creamfields South was held in Hylands Park in June 2022, and it will be back this May. The festival returns to Hylands Park this year, but it will take place over the final weekend of May. (26 – 28).

Who will be at Creamfields South 2023

The festival will once again bring some very well-known people to Essex, including some of the biggest names in dance music. Some of the headliners, who make up a portion of the program, have already been revealed. So far, this year’s festival highlights include Tiesto Calvin Harris and Swedish House Mafia.

Arc Stage comes to Creamfield South

The First edition of Creamfields South in 2022 saw the festival land on the UK Festival landscapre with a bang. However for year 2 they have upper the ante with the world famous Arc Stage coming down Chelmsford. It has been a mainstay of the Creamfields north since it arrived in 2016, it reputed to be the largest outdoor stage in the world. It stretches over 100 metres wide and it a full 15 metres high. THe curving structure amerses the crowd into the live act. The stage has played hosts to some of the greatest acts in dance music. This May Bank Holiday 2023 it will host Tiesto, Becky Hill. Calvin Harris and The Swedish House Mafia. The stage will play host to the most stunning visuals and the best soundsystem around. This stage is where to be for the Big Festival vibes.

Runway Stage to be hosted by Trick and Paradise

Another import from Creamfields North is the much hyped Runway presented by SHEIN. It is one of the most loved stage productions in recent years. The production goes well past the pedestrain audio-visual sets a staple of the festival scence. The Runway stage is presented by Fashion brand SHEIN. The new pioneering stage follows in the long line of creations by Cream alongside regular stages like the Arc and Steel Yard. The runway is a huge structure with massive TV Screens over the audience. It engulf the audience with a suspended visuals The runway is a full on in your face attack of your senses. The 20.000 capacity stage is to play host to two of the biggest labels in dance. Saturday will be hosted by Paradise and Sunday by Trick. Paradise are hosting parties every Wednesday on the white isle at the world famous Amnesia Ibiza. Jamie Jones will be resident in Ibiza and will also be playing Creamsfelds South . Trick will be hosted by Patrick Topping. As well as Creamfields South They will be hosting parties in Tenerife and at festivals across Europe .

Why V Festival?

The 2016 V Festival promises to maintain its impeccable festival standards with a scorching, diverse line-up . The first V took place in ‘96, adopting the appropriate name of ‘V96.’

21 years old, and V Fest is running alongside some of the UK’s largest (and well-known) festivals, such as Reading and Leeds Festival, Glastonbury and T in the Park.

What makes V Festival bigger and better than the rest is the fact that it was the first festival ever to take place in two places over the same weekend.

1. 2006 proved to be the most successful year of the V Festival so far. With tickets selling out in three hours, both days were crammed full with eager music fans, with over 158,000 people attending both days.

2. V96 kicked off its first year with great magnitude. Sinking heavily into the Brit Pop fanaticism that had swept the UK off of its feet, the line-up saw the likes of Pulp, Supergrass, Cast, Elastica, Super Furry Animals, Lightening Seeds, Shed 7 and Sleeper all play over the two days. A Brit Pop dream.

3. In 2006, Radiohead put on a splintering performance. They blew the crowd away with an eerie, sincere version of Creep, everyone’s favourite Radiohead song, but one that the band detests playing live.

On the A5 in Weston-under-Lizard, 30 minutes from central Birmingham. The nearest rail stations are Stafford and Wolverhampton or Telford in Shropshire.

By Car From M6 Southbound off at J12 then A5 Westbound for 10 miles to the V Festival

From M6 Northbound off at J10a then M54 to J3 to the V Festival.

From South Wales M4 to A449 then A40 to M50, M5, M6 North as above.

From North East M1 to J28, then A38 to A5 Westbound to the V Festival.

From South East M40, M5, M6 Northbound as above or M1, M6 as above.

There will be road signs as you approach the V Festival site to bring you in the most convenient entrance.

V Festival Camping

Weston Park: The campsites open at 10am on Friday 19th August and close on Monday 22 August at noon. The arena will open at 12noon on Saturday and Sunday and the bands will finish at 11pm. Sleeping in vehicles in the car parks is not permitted.

Other Events at Hylands Park in 2023

Hyland House is a Grade II Listed Neo Classical Villa in Writtle just outside the City of Chelmsford in Essex. It was originally built in 1730 by then local MP Sir John Comyns. the house and gardens were desisned by landscaper Humphry Repton. The house was left abandoned in the 1960s when the last private owner died. In 1966 Chelmsford Borough Council brought the Park and the house for the people of Chelmsford. The house though was still left empty for another 20 years. In 1986 restoration of the house began and by 2005 the first phase was completed. The house is now used as a wedding reception and function site. The site was the home of the V Festival from 1996 to 2017. The grounds are popular venue for Fanilies to explore and walk their dogs and now is the home to the Creamfields Festival. Other festivals include a dog show and foodies festival.

Who were you breakthrough bands, who really disappointed you? What was the campsite like, we would love to hear your stories.

This year’s festival, now in it’s 14th year, has got some of music’s finest on the bill, and with over 80 acts playing across four stages, the hardest bit will be deciding who you’re going to go and watch!

This year, Oasis are headlining what they profess to be their favourite festival (their words not ours) along with The Killers, so expect spectacular performances on the V stage. Meanwhile over on the 4 Music Stage Keane and Fatboy Slim are just two of the artists scheduled to put on storming sets with a line up guaranteed to get your hands in the air.

Over at The Arena we have MGMT, 2ManyDJ’s, Lady Gaga and The Streets to name just a handful. A short walk away you can catch the freshest talent including Peter Doherty, Howling Bells and VV Brown taking centre stage at the Virgin Media Union Stage.
