<p style="text-align: center;">give a glimpse of part of the working waterfront in Seattle.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Here,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">very early one morning late last fall,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I found myself driving through the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">and saw the new neon sign for the Square Knot Diner had been installed</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">on the red brick facade of a more than century old building along Airport Way South.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">:  :  :</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">My husband and I ate a wonderful meal at the Square Knot Diner about a week after they opened their doors early last fall.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Serving classic diner food at counter stools or booths, it is a cheery place with a black and white tiled floor</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Those of you who have been visiting here often or for very long,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">know of my penchant for photographing <a title="View all posts filed under 'Neon'" href="http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?tag=neon" target="_blank">neon</a> signs.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">We toured the whole facility,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">looking here and there, finding ourselves on the fourth floor</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">where there are conference rooms and the whole floor, walls and ceiling are painted this brilliant cherry red.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">My <a title="View all posts filed under 'Selfie'" href="http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?tag=selfie" target="_blank">selfie</a> was caught by photographing my reflection on a wall.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Here&#8217;s my five random facts about myself:</p>
<ol>
<li style="text-align: center;">My favorite outdoor temperature is 60, not too hot, not too cold.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">I enjoy trout fishing with my husband, but we don&#8217;t fish as often as we&#8217;d like.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">I&#8217;m a diehard &#8216;Duck Dynasty&#8217; fan.</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">I really like &#8216;Pork Fried Rice&#8217; and &#8216;Teriyaki.&#8217;</li>
<li style="text-align: center;">Driver&#8217;s who don&#8217;t follow the &#8216;Rules of the Road&#8217; really tick me off&#8230; oh can I include bicyclists in that too?</li>

<p style="text-align: center;">Here in the tiny community of Lakebay</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">on Key Peninsula is a peaceful, rural place to view the stunning views of <a title="View all posts filed under 'Puget Sound'" href="http://www.theviewfromrighthere.com/blog/?tag=puget-sound" target="_blank">Puget Sound</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Established in 1871, Lakebay has been a community eight years longer than Washington has been a state.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Our view here of two boats anchored together,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">a commercial vessel and a sailboat behind are nestled safely behind a spit</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">in the mouth of Lakebay Bay.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">:  :  :</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">I love the cerulean blue waters of the bay,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">contrasted by the deeper ultramarine blues of Carr Inlet on Puget Sound.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Taking a picnic lunch,  I love my day trips to Lakebay.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">While not many miles from the very urban cities of Seattle and Tacoma,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Lakebay is very rural, quiet and peaceful.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">:  :  :</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">Where is one of your favorite day trip destinations?</p>
