The Voice 2014 Season 6 Winner was crowned last night and it all came down to Jake Worthington, Josh Kaufman and Christina Grimmie.

That means it also came down to Team Blake, Team Usher and Team Adam. So did Adam or Blake have another win? No! For the first time, some other other than Blake or Adam won!

Josh Kaufman from Team Usher took home the Season 6 title. Jake was the runner up, which means Christina finished third.

“I can’t even talk,” Kaufman said covered in confetti. “I’m overwhelmed, I’m surprised, I’m happy, I’m relieved. This has been so much more…than I ever could have imagined.”

Josh is a from Indianapolis and worked as a performer at a sandwich shop before his time on The Voice 2014.

Are you happy with the outcome?

The Voice 2014 Finale kicked off Monday night as the Top 3 — Christina Grimmie, Jake Worthington and Josh Kauffman — took to the stage to battle for the title.

Each performed two songs each, one a reprise chosen by America and the other a new song. It was a pretty even night, but I think Josh might have found a slight edge over the other two. But we’ll find out tomorrow.

As always, I’ll be reviewing each of the performances and assigning the letter grade I think each one deserves.

Christina Grimmie, “Wrecking Ball.” This is the song America picked? What is becoming of taste. Anyway, despite the stupid song choice (Sorry, but it’s a song that has no meaning. The words mean nothing to the writer, to Miley Cyrus or Christina. Sorry). And to be honest, the vocals weren’t even that good and this isn’t even a big singer song. I mean Miley can sing it. Anyway, not my favorite. Performance Grade: B-

Jake Worthington, “Don’t Close You Eyes.” This was a good pick, America. To me, this was his best performance, so it was good to hear it again. Actually, this time I think it was better. It seemed more emotional and he changed the arrangement up a bit. It was way more tender and effortless for him. I liked it. Performance Grade: A

Josh Kaufman, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” I like this song, but I’m not sure it was his best. But I’ll go easy on you, America for Jake’s song choice. This was a solid performance. The energy was great, which is not typical of Josh. So it’s good to see him energized and upbeat again. And his vocals were spot on. Overall, it was fun. Performance Grade: A+

Jake Worthington, “Right Here Waiting.” I’m glad I liked his first performance because I didn’t like this one. The song choice was weak and the performance was weak. And Josh didn’t even really seem interested in the performance. I just didn’t feel the same emotion or connection as the first song. Performance Grade: B-

Christina Grimmie, “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” I’m not sure this song choice will do her any favors with young voters, but the performance was pretty tight. It was unique and emotional and and pretty inventive. I think it was much better than her first performance, but again, I don’t know if young voters will be too into it. Performance Grade: A+

Josh Kaufman, “Set Fire To The Rain.” An Adele song. Who would’ve thought it. I of course was immediately annoyed, but that was until he took control of the song and made it his own. It didn’t even seem like the same song. He will most likely win this season. Performance Grade: A

What did you think of the Top 3 finale performances? Who will win The Voice tomorrow night?

The Voice 2014 Top 3 were decided Tuesday night, and while I’m not surprised at the Top 3, I am surprised at the apparent order. I did not expect Christina Grimmie to have to be put into the Top 3 by America. She’s so much better than at least Jake Worthington.

All that being said, this Top 3 Power Ranking is actually going to be tough. But here’s what I think:

3. Christina Grimmie. I mean, obviously she had the third-most votes of the top 3. So this is clearly where she lands, yes? For now, yes. But if she pulls out some great performances last week and America realizes they really need to vote for her if they want her to win, then she still could win this season. I think this is probably the tightest season ever as far as who will win.

2. Jake Worthington. I’d love to put Jake at #3. Actually, I’d love for him to not even be here and instead have Kristen Merlin here. But that’s not going to happen. So I can only hope he finishes in second or third. I just don’t see him doing well after the show (do any of the winners?).

1. Josh Kaufman. If Christina doesn’t win, Josh should. He might actually deserve to win regardless, but I think Christina is more marketable and versatile. But right now I think Josh has the biggest shot at winning. Next week’s performances and song choices will make or break any of these three.

Who do you think will win The Voice 2014?

Last week Kat Perkins dodged elimination AGAIN when America voted to keep her in the competition after falling to the Bottom 4. I was amazed that she was saved by viewers two weeks in a row after they likewise sent her to the Bottoms those same weeks. Seems voters might need to make up their minds.

The Voice 2014 Top 5 took on two songs each Monday night and the battle for the spots in the finals raged on.

As always, I’ll be reviewing each performance and assuaging the letter grade I think each one deserves.

Kristen Merlin, “Gunpowder and Lead.” Good song choice. Well, I mean I wish she looked a little more like a country singer, but whatever, that’s stupid of me to even think. Her vocals were great. Her energy was there. It was all pretty tight. I like her. Performance Grade: A

Josh Kaufman, “All of Me.” I thought this was going to be boring, but it was actually pretty entertaining. It was emotional and it was nice to see him really connect with the audience. This was a great performance by him and I think a smart move on his part. Performance Grade: A+

Kat Perkins, “Chandelier.” Well at least they didn’t miss the opportunity to put chandeliers on the stage. That would’ve been silly. Now onto the performance. Eh. I didn’t like the song choice. I mean who wrote that song? “123, 123 I’m going to swing from the chandelier”? Are you serious? Anyway, I thought this was her worst performance ever. Performance Grade: C+

Jake Worthington, “Good Ole Boys.” This is probably the first song he’s performed that I was OK with. I mean, it’s “The Dukes of Hazzard” theme song! I thought it could have been more fun, but overall it was decent. I could at least understand his words this time. Performance Grade: B+

Christina Grimmie, “Hide and Seek.” This is a great song. I can’t believe it was performed on The Voice though, because it’s a very produced song and I wasn’t sure how it would be done live. But it worked. It was definitely a standout performance. It was quite a production. I found myself pretty entranced at a few moments. Performance Grade: A+

Josh Kaufman, “Love Runs Out.” This was an interesting song choice for Josh. I get why Usher gave it to him because he needs to do something with energy. And I’m not sure if it worked or not. I think it did. I think I’m just not used to seeing him perform with such energy and command. It was pretty refreshing. Performance Grade: A

Kat Perkins, “Let it Go.” Smart song choice. I think the song is still popular enough to get a few new people to vote for her or download her song. And the performance was good, despite a few rocky moments. It’s a big song and she held her own. Performance Grade: B+

Kristen Merlin, “Foolish Games.” This was not Kristen’s best. She was off key a few times and had a hard time regaining it. And the emotion seemed fake. Like I don’t think she felt connected to the song. But Kristen is a great performer and I think she still did a good job, it just wasn’t my favorite. Performance Grade: B+

Christina Grimmie, “Some Nights.” I didn’t expect this song from her, but it was good. The vocals were solid, the energy was high and the staging was fun. Like Blake said, it felt like a winning performance. I think Christina will definitely be around next week. Performance Grade: A+

Jake Worthington, “Heaven.” Why didn’t Christina close out the night? I guess they want to make sure they’re both in the finale. I guess the performance was pretty decent. I didn’t really feel an emotional connection from him, but it was pretty tender, at least. Performance Grade: B+

The Voice 2014 Top 5 were announced last night with a shocking triple elimination that sent home three people who shouldn’t have gone home.

I’m really not understanding this season of The Voice, but I’m going to try to figure out which of the Top 5 has what it takes to win this and fade into obscurity.

The Voice 2014 Top 5 Power Rankings

5. Kat Perkins. Obviously she’s next to go because she was in the bottom and stuck around because of America’s instant save. Even though America should have gone with Sisaundra Lewis. But whatever, America.

4. Jake Worthington. At least I hope he’s not going to place any higher than fourth. I just don’t get the love for him. How he survived and the three who went home didn’t, I’ll never understand.

3. Kristen Merlin. This is where it gets tricky. I think Kristen has the best voice in the competition. But I don’t see her actually winning. I would like to see her win, but I think she’s third at best at this point.

2. Josh Kaufman. I think Josh is the only person who could possibly best our No. 1 spot, but I don’t think even he will. He’s definitely got what it takes to win and/or be runner-up, though, so you won’t hear any complaints from me there.

1. Christina Grimmie. I don’t think there’s a single person who will disagree with this ranking (of course there will be, but I wanted to type that anyway). She’s been strong the whole season and Twitter is completely abuzz over her. I think she’s easily poised to take the title this season.

How would you rank The Voice 2014 Top 5?

The Voice 2014 Top 8 took the stage Monday night. I think, so anyway. Because I may or may not have fallen asleep in the middle of it all. OK, I’m joking. I did not actually fall asleep. But I bet a lot of people did. It was an incredibly boring night.

As always, I’ll be reviewing each of the performances and assigning a letter grade to each.

Sisaundra Lewis, “River Deep Mountain High.” That was a great performance for Sisaundra. Perfect song choice, perfect performance. It was full of great energy and her vocals were as solid as they always are. I think it was a great way to open the show, but would have been a better way to close the show. Grade: A+

Josh Kaufman, “I Can’t Make You Love Me.” Well the vocals ere good, but the energy was miserable. It was so slow and so boring and I wanted to go to sleep. Or eat glass. I’m not sure which. And on top of the boring pace, he didn’t really make me believe the performance. It was karaoke to me. I didn’t get emotion from him when it’s an emotional song. Grade: B

Kat Perkins, “Get Lucky.” I thought this was weird song choice for her, but she handled it way better than I thought she would. The chorus did sound a little weird and monotone with that arrangement, but her energy was fantastic. Again, I think there are tons of better song choices, but it was all decent. Grade: B

Kristen Merlin, “I Drive Your Truck.” Well this was a stupid song choice? Why can’t people stuck with really well-known songs to try to sway voters they might not get on a normal night? I mean her vocals were as solid and effortless as ever, but I was not a fan of the song. It was boring and I just don’t know if anyone knows it. Grade: B

Devlin Choice, “I Believe I Can Fly.” Are you kidding me? This song? In 2014? After it’s been performed on every singing show at least 3 times? Horrible choice. I can’t even accurately grade this performance. His vocals are good. So I’ll just give him an A+ on vocals and an F on song choice to get a deserving average. Grade: B-

Audra McLaughlin, “Forgive.” I again have no idea what this song is and why it was chosen. It was obscure, boring and I don’t know. Why do people on this show pick such blah songs? It actually upsets me that I have to watch it and be bored. Grade: B-

Jake Worthington, “Hillbilly Deluxe.” I don’t get the Jake love. I really don’t. I can barely understand him when he talks, so I certainly can’t when he sings. He needs to enunciate just a little bit more. He just misses the mark for me. I don’t want to hear someone I can’t understand. I don’t like it at all. Grade: C

Christina Grimmie, “How to Love.” Why not finish the night with a slow, drab boring song. Good job, The Voice. Are you trying to kill your viewership? I mean are you serious? I mean Christina is a great singer and a great performer, but I can’t handle how boring this episode as. Grade: A-

What were your favorite performances of the night?

On Tuesday night’s results show of The Voice 2014, host Carson Daily made the huge announcement that Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams will be taking the coaches’ seats for Season 7.

“Before we start the show, I want to make a very, very big announcement for us here — hold on, listen! This all just happened moments ago, because we’re live, and we’re very happy to officially announce that two superstars will be joining the next season in these coaches’ chairs: Pharrell Williams and Gwen Stefani will be added to the Voice family,” Carson said. “We’re so happy to have them join our ever-growing Voice family. They’re both incredible people, insanely talented.”

Gwen will be replacing Christina Aguilera in the fall show spot while Pharrell will fill the seat left empty by Cee Lo Green’s departure. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are reportedly staying put.

I think Christina exiting the show won’t bode well for The Voice, but according to NBC, she’ll return for the eighth season. She’s taking time off as she’s expecting her second child, sources say. If that’s true, then that means no Shakira for Season 8? We’ll have to wait and see.

What do you think of the new coaching choices? Will you miss Christina and Cee Lo?
