Today’s cyber threats are becoming increasingly more targeted and sophisticated with criminal networks operating across the world, coordinating complex attacks against targets in a matter of minutes.

Due to the complexity of the cyber-threat landscape, cybercrime investigations are profoundly different in nature than the traditional crimes, requiring high-level technical expertise and large-scale cross-jurisdictional investigations.

Recent surveillance controversy, invasion of privacy, rise in cybercrimes, espionage on corporate sector and shady censorship policies in Pakistan are eye openers for many of us. A few questions pop up in every thinking mind. What is happening on our cyber fronts? How are we reverting to cyber threats? How are we protecting our Critical Network Infrastructure? How are we collaborating with other CERTs and countries? Along with so many other relevant questions that needs attention by authorities and relevant stake-holders alike.

It is essential that law enforcement prioritize resources, build cross-jurisdictional and cross sectorial collaboration in addition to developing the technical expertise, tools and infrastructure required to effectively combat threats and eventually enhance digital security.

In response, Pakistan Information Security Association(PISA) has been working for the last many years to highlight this much needed topic of Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration for Combating Cyber Crimes. PISA will seek to implement an alliance with multi-stakeholders, including government organizations, academia, law enforcement agencies and Internet security specialists from the private and public sector, to leverage their respective expertise and resources for fighting cybercrimes.

CSP Conference Platform is an effort to put our best step forward for the mentioned cause.

Last year, CSP’13 is named as mega success. The Conference was attended by more than 200 delegates from across the country. This year, CSP’14 is themed as “Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration” for Combating Cyber Crimes is planned from 9th to 12th January at Marriott Hotel, Islamabad.

CSP’14 is likely to see the dignitaries, such as Ms. Anusha Rehman (Minister of IT), Mr. Zahid Hamid (Minister of Science and Technology), Mr. Mushahid Hussain Sayed (Chairman Senate Committee for Defence and Defence Production), Mr. Ammar Jaffri (President PISA), Mr. Saud Ahmed Mirza (DG FIA), Dr. Ismail Shah (Chairman PTA) and many more.

6. Database at PTA’s website will be updated after 45 days. You can confirm removal of extra SIMs by revisiting after 45 days.

Today in the fast growing age of business it is very difficult to carry hard cash with you, for this reason almost all the banks in Pakistan are offering their services for the provision of credit as well as VISA debit cards and ATM (Automatic teller Machine) cards, which will give you cash on the go. All you need to go to the nearest ATM outlet and use it there by entering your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and get the cash in no time. It saves a lot of time and it is safe and secure also it provides you a mini statement to find out the remaining account balance and for your record also.

There is a little difference between a credit card and a VISA debit card. As the name suggest credit card is the one in which if you do not have cash in your account you can shop anywhere by the use of this card and pay later on up till the due date. Whereas VISA debit card is the one in which you have pre balance in your account and on the use of this card, the amount gets deducted from your bank balance and you shop. You can also use these cards for shopping online.

Where to go for Credit Or Visa Debit Card?

Different banks give different packages for the use of credit card and facilitate their customers, for example, you can do shopping at a mega store, purchase something online on the internet. It has some disadvantages too as if you get late to pay your credit card bill on time, you will be charged per day surcharge.

Now the question arise that how to get these cards? For this sake you have to visit the branch of the bank in which you have your account running and ask for the credit card or debit card form. The process is nearly similar. You can also request the customer service agent to come to you for this sake. Fill the form in which they will ask for your personal details, like your name, father’s name, your mailing and email address, your account number associated with the specific card you are going to apply, your signatures and some initial deposit (where necessary).

After the form is filled the agent will ask that you want to get the card either on the address which you had mentioned on the form or you have to manually collect from the respective branch of bank. After some days; the working period; as described by the officials of bank for the verification and inquiry of the details provided, you will be delivered with a letter and card with a PIN code secured. If this letter is not properly secured the first thing you need to do is to inform the bank and get that PIN code blocked or changed. After getting your card you need to activate it by calling the respective online customer service center and afterwards start using your card.

Which cards are best to use in Pakistan?

I’ve used Credit Card in Pakistan provided by Standard Chartered Bank as well as the Wiz Card Provided by United Bank Limited (UBL), also I’ve been using my ATM Card of UBL as a Wallet Visa Card for Online Shopping and for many other things. So I’ll suggest you that the ATM card works same as the Visa Card, you can withdraw your money from any ATM in Pakistan as well as in many other countries. While you can also buy domain, web hosting, themes and whatever you want to buy online, the UBL or SCB’s ATM is enough to do so. If you are using UBL for banking then after receiving your ATM Card just call on 111-825-888 and first of all activate your card, also tell the operator to activate your ATM card for Online usage. So they will update its activation and you’ll then be able to use your Card to withdraw your money from ATMs and also to shop online. But For UBL ATMs (As I’m using it myself) you’ll need to activate a session for online purchasing and they will charge you Rs.100 for each session you activate. The session’s maximum time is 10 hours and you can purchase whatever you want online. For that session they will deduct Rs.100 from your UBL bank account. You can also select a fixed amount to be spend online on purchasing, for example if you need a web hosting and it costs you $40, so you can tell them to activate a session for 5000PKR , just purchase your thing and the amount will be deducted from your Bank Account. Don’t worry if you registered a session of 5000PKR and you purchased things of 4000PKR then the 1000PKR is always yours and goes back in your account.

Moreover, You can use your Visa Debit Card to Withdraw Paypal Money in Pakistan. And Payza Money may also be received in your Visa Debit Card or Credit Card. That’s everything is possible with your Card.

Internet Download Manager is the worldwide used download manager.
Millions of people are using IDM and are well aware of its many dashing features and it's on the top amongst all the download managers.
So I don't need to introduce it to you, you will better know it from me.I guess!
OK today the purpose of this post is to teach you how can you Optimize you IDM for extra speed.
Usually it all depends on your Internet/LAN Connection speed but with this trick I am sure your download speed will increase a bit!

How to Speed-up IDM?

The procedure can be divided into two steps:

1.Configuring IDM settings:

First open IDM and go to options.There in connection tab set Lan 10 Mbps as the default connection.
Then type /speed in the box and leave away all the other boxes empty.

2.Editing the registry:

For this,

Go to run.
Type regedit to open registry editor.
Next In the left pane, expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and then highlight "Download Manager".
And In the right pane, look for the registry entry named "MaxConnectionsNumber", double click it.
In the Edit DWORD Value box, click Decimal and replace current value with 100. Default value is 8. An option to increase it by 16 is available but might not be enough so increase the value to 100. A higher value might cause download speed to drop or be inconsistent.

Windows 8 also supports the old user account system, but it can also create a new kind of user account that's linked to your Windows ID, and pulls in information from SkyDrive, Xbox, Hotmail/Outlook and all the other cloud services the company is pushing. A linked account can also sync your Windows settings (from your desktop wallpaper to your browsing history) across machines, which is handy if you have multiple computers at home or at work.

Launch the Settings charm, then choose 'Change PC settings' and open the 'Sync your settings' page to configure the feature.

4. Windows Defender

Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender, now with added antivirus capabilities. Windows Defender is back from Microsoft Security Essentials.

Defender tackles both viruses and spyware, and comes baked into the operating system.

You'll notice that it makes an appearance in Windows 8 if you don't already have antivirus and anti-spyware tools in place, leaping into action to plug whichever security gaps need filling.

5. Simpler shutdown

Use the traditional Alt+F4 shortcut as a quicker way to power down your PC. The same keyboard shortcut as in previous versions of Windows, but it's worth mentioning here because Windows 8 makes shutting down your PC more drawn out.

Just open the Charms bar, clicking Settings, selecting the Power button and choosing 'Shut down', simply press Alt+F4 while viewing the desktop.

Choose an alternative option from the drop-down menu or you can then press Enter to shut down the PC.

6. Keyboard shortcuts

Use the Ctrl+Tab shortcut to see all of your Windows 8 apps listed together, Swiping around Windows 8 is fine on a touchscreen interface, but what about standard laptops and desktops?

Keyboard shortcuts for Windows 8 can save you a lot of clicking and dragging with the mouse, and make it easier to navigate the operating system.

Win+C brings up the Charms bar, for example, while pressing the Windows key on its own switches between the desktop and the Start page.

Tip: hit Ctrl+Tab on the Start page to switch to the 'All apps' view.

7. Snap your apps

Many Windows 8 apps have a mini mode for displaying them at the side of the screen. As you know that Windows 7 allowes you to snap windows to the side of the screen by clicking and dragging the title bar.

Windows 8 goes one step further, enabling users to dock a Start page app (like Weather or Bing) to the side while you work on the desktop.

So, you could keep an eye on the forecast while playing around in Photoshop, or stay in touch with your Twitter feed via the People app while crunching numbers in Excel.

To dock a full-screen Start page app, drag it from the top to the left or right of the screen. You can run Start page apps alongside each other too.

8. File History

The File History backup tool in Windows 8 isn't enabled by default, Windows 8 can keep track of previous versions of your important files, which can be a lifesaver if you accidentally delete a document or a favourite photo becomes corrupt.

File History is not enabled by default, so you'll have to activate it from the System and Security section of Control Panel. The only caveat is you'll need a second hard drive available, whether this is external, internal or networked.

9. ISO Support

Windows 8, native ISO mounting support is included — just double-click and go. Windows 7 also came with a built-in ISO burner; Windows 8 does away with the burning, and can launch ISOs (and VHD files) natively.

Just Double-click on a downloaded or ripped ISO to view its contents; right-click and choose 'Mount' to run it.

10. Reinstall Windows Simply

Complicated reinstall should be gone forever thanks to the Windows 8 Reset tool. Windows 8 new reinstall routine, known as Reset (on the PC Settings page).

There's no need to insert discs or serial codes, because everything you need is already available, hidden away on the hard drive.

Returning Windows to its factory setting takes a handful of clicks, and has never been easier. Alternatively, you can do a 'refresh', which brings back all the default operating system settings, keeping your personal files, settings, the programs that came with your PC and any applications that you have downloaded from the Windows Store.

How Cloud Hosted VoIP can Streamline Your IT Business

Unless you’re still a just one-man-shop, running your business on a backbone of cell phones is a recipe for disaster in the long term. It’s something we found out first hand at our own company, knowing full well that we outgrew the capabilities of Google Voice after using the platform for nearly three years. Customers expect promptness and professionalism when it comes to phone communications, so we decided to move up to cloud hosted VoIP for our phone needs.

I’ve touched on the subject of cloud hosted VoIP/PBX in the past, letting everyone in on how Google Voice was helping keep my small business on top of customer calls. While Google Voice is a solid service for a one-man company, it just wasn’t cutting it as my company FireLogic continued to expand. At two people, we rigged Voice up fairly well but had a lot of rough edges to deal with. We called it quits at three people and moved onto cloud hosted VoIP service from industry veteran RingCentral.
Google Voice isn’t as much of a cloud hosted VoIP provider as they are a bona-fide call routing and VM provider (some call it a virtual PBX). Outside of their free calling service within your Gmail interface, Google Voice doesn’t provide the same level of features that a full fledged VoIP provider like RingCentral can. Ditching Google Voice in place of RingCentral was one of the best internal technology upgrades we have made as of late.

The limits of Google Voice and other “free” solutions

When I was growing my computer repair business as a sole technician, running between customer visits and juggling phone calls, Google Voice served me extremely well. For example, it saved me time on having to call in to a voicemail line to check messages; I merely listened to my VMs from my email.
But our company has been growing steadily since early last year. When it came time to bring on help, we managed to get Google Voice to function between two people. I merely added his cell number to my account and we juggled incoming calls together. However, the situation became less ideal the busier and larger we became.
Since Voice is built to run piggyback on top of someone’s Google Apps email account, only one person has full access to the service unless you share passwords. We got around this issue by creating a dummy “GV” account on our Apps domain, but this was not long lived. Google Voice became a band-aid for a long term communication problem we had to address quickly.
Here are some of the other growing pains we experienced during our last few months on Voice:

Google Voice is a service that blasts all your selected phones at the same time. There is no way to set up a staggered hunt group (that I’ll explain later) which follows a logical path of “if no answer, ring phone B” and so on. You can place a schedule on which phones get rung at what time of the day, but this still pales in comparison to what RingCentral has given us.
Since we work on a lot of projects with customers now that require multiple team members on a given call, Google Voice’s solution to conference calling was unacceptable. On GV, you’re expected to have everyone else ring your GV number at a given time, and then join people in one by one. This rarely worked as advertised, and was frustrating more than anything.
Sure, you can create a dummy account in your Google Apps for the sake of sharing access with others. But is this safe or recommended? Not really. Unless you piggyback your account off a free Gmail account (which jeopardizes your control over your Voice number should something happen), you’re paying for another Google Apps license. Cheap, but not 100% ideal.
For a one man cell-only shop, this doesn’t matter. But since we expanded into a public office and also brought on a full time administrative assistant, forcing everyone to make all calls off their personal cell minutes was becoming arduous. Voice has no solution for using robust business level IP Cisco or similar phones.

While some of the above snags may not matter to all computer repair businesses, we were quickly seeing that customers were becoming agitated as we hobbled calls in a messy manner and had to play hardball just to communicate effectively with them. Enough was enough, and after some long and hard research, we chose to settle on RingCentral. For the price, features, and functionality, they are simply second to none for our needs.

How to choose a cloud hosted VoIP provider

While RingCentral happened to be the best choice for our needs, it may not be the pick for everyone. There are numerous questions you should ask as a small business owner before taking the plunge with a prospective provider. Like with any industry, there are plenty of gotchas and smoke & mirrors employed to try and snag new customers. With the proper planning and fact finding, you can avoid the pitfalls of basing your decision on shallow qualifications such as price or freebies alone.
Here are some of the questions we asked during our pre-purchase research calls to each company:

Are virtual extensions included, and if so, are they an extra cost? If your company has any mix of cell-phone only workers, virtual extensions are a must. Some provides don’t offer this feature at all, and some have a low cap on the number of extensions you can get.
What are the specifics surrounding minutes and usage? This is the perhaps the single wildest area of difference between the big names. We prefer RingCentral’s unlimited approach to minutes for our desk phone lines. Some providers have strict conditions around toll free minutes and outgoing calls.
What kind of faxing support is provided? While faxing is on its way out, some customers still demand it, and worse, some vendors you work with will ask for it. RingCentral includes faxing support at no extra cost but some providers have tight terms around faxes coming in and out. Be sure to ask.
Is a toll free number included, and how much airtime does it get? Most VoIP providers advertise this heavily, but be sure to inquire as to how many incoming minutes your plan is given. This is rarely unlimited, as toll free lines are a luxury feature. We use a toll free number for out of state customers.
Is there a demo period, or money-back period? Good providers offer a period where you can change your mind and cancel service if you are dissatisfied. We went with RingCentral because they gave us a simple 30 day money back guarantee. You don’t want to be stuck with something you cannot return.
What kind of live support is provided? Some companies offer 24/7 support; some only have business day support; and some offer limited support via email only. If you have no issues with the Google Voice “on your own” support mentality, then this may not be a big deal. But most time-strapped IT business owners (myself included) want to be able to speak with someone when the service breaks and business is being lost due to it.
Is there a contract required for service? Some companies will gladly offer you better than expected pricing in exchange for staying tied down for one, two, or more years. Unless you are 100% certain that you wish to stay with a single provider, try to push back on any contractual obligations – or ask for the “no contract” price if possible. Flexibility beats rock bottom pricing in some cases.

In addition to RingCentral, some of the other companies we inquired with included FreedomVoice, Vocalocity, PhoneBooth, Phone.com, and OneBox, to name a few. Some of the biggest differentiating factors between providers include the number of minutes allowed for incoming/outgoing calls; whether virtual extensions are allowed at no extra cost; and what sort of extras are bundled like conference bridges and fax service. For our needs, RingCentral was a distant first choice. Do your own research and compare your needs to find which provider is best for you.
Finding a preferred provider is half the battle. Configuring the service to match your workflow requirements is the other. All the bells and whistles advertised are useless unless you can leverage them to help streamline your business. While Google Voice was a definite step up for our company over plain cell service, RingCentral has truly unlocked a world of potential. If you go with RingCentral, they even allow you to speak with an “implementation specialist” for a few weeks after you go live to ensure your service gets configured properly, which I used heavily myself.
So what the heck can cloud hosted VoIP do for your business? Here’s how it has helped us.

Use hunt groups to intelligently ring sets of phones

Hunt groups sound complex, but in reality, they are quite simple in execution. If you are a Google Voice veteran, you’re very familiar with the way Voice can push calls to other phones, what they call simple “forwarding.” Google limits you to six phones, and unless some of them are on a ring schedule, they all ring at the same time. While this may be useful for some, if you are running a growing company, this becomes a nuisance quickly.
When we made the move to RingCentral, we took advantage of hunt groups that route our three main numbers (two local, and one toll free) to the various phones in use at our company (desk and mobile). And seeing that we have a full time admin assistant handling incoming calls now, we didn’t want our techs getting every single sales call or customer inquiry on their cell phones.

RingCentral hunt groups allow us to stagger our incoming calls to two desk phones, and if no one answers, then the calls hit our techs’ cell phones. This helps funnel simple issues and misc calls through our assistant, which can then forward calls to one of us if necessary. We have saved each tech (including myself) hours of time on the phone each week due to this very simple improvement. We can focus on customer work when onsite, yet still ensure that customers are handled with a friendly voice during business hours.

Transfer calls between desk phones & cell phones alike

One of the big selling points of legacy PBX systems was the ability to transfer calls between any number of internal phones. Cloud hosted VoIP takes this same concept and capitalizes on it by not only allowing for transfers between IP desk phones, but also to cell phones. This was something we sorely lacked on Google Voice. Once a call came in, we could “switch phones” but this was a rather cryptic feature that rang every other phone on our account, and you had to hope that the proper party took the call over. Not ideal.
RingCentral allows us to do traditional transfers between our two desk phones, and has a feature under the moniker “call flip” which allows you to customize a list of cell phones which can accept a call transfer directly from a land line. Techs in the field can now take customer calls that need to be handled on an as-needed basis from our assistant. For mobile repair companies, this feature alone is worth its weight in gold.

Full blown call recording on any call

Google Voice has quite excellent call recording, I will admit. But it’s severely crippled in the fact that you can only record incoming calls. This is a pain when you have to initiate a call with a customer that requires recording, and either have to ask them to call you back, or skip recording the call altogether. Services like RingCentral solve this problem by allowing universal recording which gets saved on their cloud network for a period of time. Any recording can be downloaded and archived for the long term as well. Unlike on-premise PBX systems that usually require expensive hardware, this feature is cloud based and seamless.

Masking caller ID on outgoing cell calls

Keeping your private cell phone number just that – private – is tricky in this day and age as we continue to become more mobile-centric. While I used to be able to do this in Google Voice in a basic way, with RingCentral, this was taken a few steps further. First and foremost, if your mobile phone can accept the RingCentral app (native free app on iPhone, Android, and BB, with an unofficial paid app for Win Phone) then you can mask all of your outgoing calls to your main company number.

Likewise, RingCentral allows you to use this same masking functionality right off their website through your online account. This is great because 1) I hate it when customers get a hold of my or one of our techs’ personal cell numbers and 2) it keeps a consistent, clean communication image with customers. Instead of worrying about customers routing issues to multiple personal cell numbers, this ensures everyone is calling a single central number for their needs. This also helps prevent issues with customer calls when techs happen to leave your company.

Virtual Extensions that treat cell phones like first class citizens

A virtual extension is a simple way of creating a full blown extension at your company that routes directly to a cell phone. This becomes more useful as your company grows in size, and adds more mobile-only workers. RingCentral is nice in that it allows for free virtual extensions for all mobile workers. Since they are using their cell minutes anyway for phone time, RC doesn’t care about them receiving incoming calls. If your call routing scheme increases with complexity and needs, then virtual extensions are a true lifesaver.

Conference call lines that can host professional customer telemeetings

As I mentioned earlier, Google Voice has a pathetic approach to conference calls. Everyone is expected to call your company number at the same time, so you can manually patch them in. Sometimes it works… most times, it doesn’t. Our provider RingCentral simplifies this growing need by providing our company with a totally free conference call bridge line which acts just like the functionality that all of the big boys use from Webex, etc. You can have up to 1000 callers on your bridge line, and this makes customer meetings over the phone a lot more pleasant. Three, four, five, and larger multi-way calls become as simple as a two way chat on a regular phone call. Big business image at a small business price.

The small things matter, too

Some of the finer features of a proper service like RingCentral are quite useful as well. For example, I already mentioned how we save on keeping a physical fax machine running, or paying for a separate fax service, since our provider allows incoming/outgoing faxing at no extra charge. We can also forward voicemail emails (which have an audio file attached) to a distribution group on our Google Apps platform, which can blast any number of workers who need access to them at the same time. And RingCentral also happens to support texting to your company numbers – something we heavily used on Google Voice.
Overall, I have to say that moving to a cloud VoIP provider has been one of the best internal IT changes we made in the last half year. We’re paying about $60 USD for all of the above features each month, and it has paid for itself many times over in saved time, frustration, and functionality. While I can’t say that RingCentral is the right choice for every IT company, it definitely was the pick for us. Sometimes spending a few dollars on your own internal needs will reap rewards — you just need to be willing to look outside the box.

Yesterday we shared a script about disabling right click on your blog to protect your content from newbies and thus today, we'll discuss about disabling text/articles from being copied by others. We'll use a simple JavaScript code which will prevent visitors even from selecting the text. Visitors won't be able to use either copy option or Select all option from their keyboards, because when they aren't able to select the text then how could they be able to do further. Using this way you can protect your articles completely from being copied by copycats. And this is very important in order to protect your blog content.

This script is very simple, which can completely help you to away people from copying your text/articles. However, we sometimes provide codes in our tutorials i.e widgets, plugins, tricks etc. So we usually use <BlockQuote> tag for those codes, but this script interrupt with that and the codes inside <BlockQuote> will suffer and won't be selected. The bottom line: Avast continues to push the envelope of top-shelf free security features with hybrid update tech, file reputation analysis, and more. It's independent benchmarks are a bit weak, but more than 150 million people trust Avast to keep them safe.

Review:
Looking to compete with both paid and free security suites, Avast wants to create a unified approach to your computer security. Long gone are the days of the quirky interface. Avast is accessible and robust, with an impressive list of free features and strong, though hardly stellar, performance benchmarks.
Installation
Avast has improved its installation process so it's faster than before. It's not the fastest on the market, not by a longshot, but a standard installation took us about three minutes.

Some items of note during the installation that will come up later in the review: to avoid the new Windows 7 and Vista desktop gadget, or the new WebRep browser add-on, you must choose the Custom install option and uncheck those here.

Automatic installation of these features is frowned upon, although Avast does provide a clear method for uninstalling them. It's just not as simple as a check box that gets its own installation window, since you have to go through the Customize menu, which makes the auto-install sort of surreptitious.

The current versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer both block forced add-on installation. When you run one of those browsers for the first time after installing Avast, they'll ask you if you want to allow the new add-on.

On the plus side, installing Avast doesn't require a reboot, and using its uninstall tool we detected no remnants in the Registry or on the desktop. Avast has said that the installer has shrunk for all three versions by about 20 percent, although it's still a large download at around 70MB for the free version.

A new Avast installation option, available only from the custom install menu, lets you sideload Avast as a secondary security program to supplement your main one. We're not big fans of this option from a security point-of-view, because it can bog down your system resources without actually making you safer. However, for seeing if you like Avast, it's not a bad thing as long as you remember to choose one security suite to go with.
What's puffing the sails in Avast 2012?

Interface
Avast 7's interface hasn't changed much over the past three versions. There've been some decorative changes, a darkening of color here, lightening of grays there, but the changes have been either lightly cosmetic or utilitarian. For example, there are big graphics to illustrate the more nebulous security concepts that only have an on-or-off switch. This may sound useless, but it's actually quite clever because it helps you visualize how one of the more complex Avast features is keeping you safe without bogging you down in jargon.

Highlighted with the familiar security colors of green for safe and red for dangerous, the Summary tab gives up-to-date info on shield status, auto-updates, virus definitions, the program version, and whether the silent/gaming mode is on. There's also an unobtrusive ad urging you to upgrade to Avast Internet Security 7 if you're using the free version, and an option to connect an Avast account. (This is for the Avast Web management tool, expected to be live about a month from when this review is published.)

The Summary tab contains two submenus, Cloud Services and Statistics. The former shows you how Avast's servers help protect you, and offers a Settings button.

The latter is for those intrepid folks who're curious to see how Avast's shields have been performing against threats. It's where you can get your math geek on. For each shield, it tells you how many files were scanned and when, and presents the data in a concise graph.

The free version of Avast is arguably the most comprehensive set of freely available security features on the market. There's a reason these guys have more than 150 million active users (at the time this review was written). The antivirus, antispyware, and heuristics engines form a security core that also includes multiple real-time shields. Along with the new features, it's got an AutoSandbox for automatically walling off suspicious programs; a full complement of shields that guard against scripts, P2P networks, instant messaging, and potentially dangerous program behavior; a silent/gaming mode; on-demand boot scanning; and a healthy output of statistics for the data nerds.

Avast's sandbox, by the way, automatically places programs in a virtualized state when it suspects them of being threats. It walls off suspicious programs, preventing them from potentially damaging your system while allowing them to run. As the program runs, the sandbox keeps track of which files are opened, created, or renamed, and what it reads and writes from the Registry. Permanent changes are virtualized, so when the process terminates itself, the system changes it made will evaporate.

The company hasn't said whether the virtualized state begins after the program already has access to your system, so it's theoretically possible that it could be compromised. There's not a single security feature in any program that hasn't been been compromised at some point, though, so "theoretically hackable" is true of all security features. The AutoSandbox will now advise you when you're done using it as to how best to handle the program in the future.

The AutoSandbox for free users is different from Avast's paid-upgrade sandbox, and the paid upgrades to Avast Pro and Avast Internet Security include both the automatic version and the older, manually initiated version.

You can access the AutoSandbox settings from the new Additional Protection option on the left nav. It defaults to asking the user whether a program should be sandboxed, although you can set it to automatically decide. There's a whitelist option for programs that you always want to exclude from the sandbox, or you can deactivate the feature entirely.

In addition to these core security features, Avast has some nifty extras to help you out. The Troubleshooting section now comes with a "restore factory settings" option, which makes it easier to wipe settings back to a familiar starting point, and comes with the option to restore only the Shields settings, leaving other changes untouched, like permanently running in silent mode.

There's a sidebar desktop gadget for Windows 7 and Vista, and you can set automatic actions for the boot-time scan. Available under the Scan Computer tab, the boot-time scan customizations give you far more flexibility in managing the lengthy and time-consuming boot scan.

Meanwhile, new in Avast Free is the Remote Assistance feature, for single-instance, friend-to-friend remote tech support. Part of the main Avast interface, all the other person has to have is...Avast.

It's a good way to get others to install the program, but this isn't the only single-serving tech support option around. Still, in our tests, it worked fine. One person shares a code with the other, and voila! Instant remote PC access. Simply close the window to break the connection.

Avast doesn't offer an on-demand link-scanning feature, like AVG and Norton do, although the company says that the way that Avast's Web shield behaves ought to protect you automatically from any malicious URLs by automatically preventing the URL from resolving in-browser. A page will appear letting you know that Avast has blocked the site because it is suspected to contain a threat.

There weren't many big changes for Avast Pro Antivirus or Avast Internet Security users, but there were improvements made to the Safe Zone and Browser Sandbox features. The Browser Sandbox now lets you force Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari to always run sandboxed away from your system. SafeZone now automatically asks you when you're about to perform a browser-based financial transaction if you'd like to switch to the SafeZone mode.

Performance
As far as Avast's impact on system performance goes, in a real-world test Avast completed its scans in a timely yet not blazingly fast manner. A Quick Scan took about 20 minutes, and the Full Scan took 59 minutes. RAM usage was surprisingly light, with Avast only eating up about 16MB when running a scan.

How to Insert Read More Link in Blogger Posts?

The read more button or link is mostly designed in custom blogger templates however, you'll have to insert this link somewhere in your post in Blogger default templates and you'll have to designed it as well. Because there is an option in the post editor called "JUMP BREAK" which you can use to insert a read more link inside your blog posts. This post will also teach you about how to change your Read more text to a beautiful picture like our blog.

If you are using a default blogger template which I know doesn't have read more link designed by default. So you'll have to add the RM link by yourself to each of the post you publish. There are many custom templates which also don't have this option enabled. But we'll first add a jump break or RM link to our default template and then I'll teach you changing the Read More text to a picture. But one thing is to make sure that you need to use the jump break option in every blog post.

Inserting ReadMore link in Blogger Posts?

While writing a post in blogger post editor there is an option called "Jump Break"which can always be used to insert the read more link anywhere you want in the post. See below image for exactly understanding it.
