So instead of going at this pace of two posts every 2 weeks I’ve decided to not post for about a month.

Yes, life is busy but no more than usual. It’s just that some VERY EXCITING things have my brain’s attention at the moment.

I LOVE posting here and will definitely be back to it in a month when I can give it a routine dose of worstbloggery.

good to be back.

I wanted to jump right back in with a post I should have put up a 2 weeks ago. Our last toledo new community was Rankin Walkups last time singing with us for a few years! He will be heading out to California for his work.

Rankin has been one of cedarcreek.tv’s mainstay worship leaders and will be VERY SAD to see him go. He always brought so much excitement and energy as well as an unstoppable passion to lead others in worship. We will miss you man!

I owe that to a good friend of mine Jason Dittus who met me at the last mile and ran with me! I was struggling bad and his encouragement was HUGE!! Thanks man!!

Yes the clock says ‘2:55:00′ but that doesn’t reflect your personal time which is clocked by a chip on your shoe from when you leave the start to when you hit the finish.

Thanks to my family and friends who were there to cheer me on! love you guys!

For anyone interested in a play by play during each mile, go ahead and check it out after the jump. Warning. May cause boredom

Mile 1- Starting in Downtown Pburg Feeling fine. It’s a beautiful day to run with a 1,000+ people!

Mile 2-Thinking “I’m going to go ahead and pass a few people because that won’t be happening later! ” ha!

Mile 3-Left pburg. Entering maumee. First water stop. “Ahhh crap. no one told me there would be hills”. Still feeling fine though

Mile 4- I lied. that last hill took the first toll on my body.

Mile 5-Leaving downtown maumee. Forgot to wear shades and sunscreen. I’ll pay for that.

Mile 6-Downing my first GU…which tastes like eating warm vasoline…mmmm yum…

Mile 7-Starting to feel pretty crappy. Pace has slowed down and the realization of 6 more miles is crushing to the morale

Mile 8-My awesome wife and father in law roll up to drop some encouragement! That was HUGE!

Mile 9-Leaving Maumee and continuing down riverroad. This place is beautiful. Saw a few ‘creekers’ sitting outside their house!

Mile 10- So hot. no shade. feel like crap. crap. crap.

Mile 11- Now in Downtown toledo. Walk, Walk, Run, Walk, Run, Walk Walk, kicking myself at this point for walking

Mile 12- Ran a while with some very inspiring older runners. One guy was around 60 and it was his 25th marathon. How cool is that??

Mile 13-Completely out of energy. Turn the corner and there is my friend Jason Dittus ready to run with me for the home stretch HUGE!!  Oh there’s my mom to give me a high-five and cheer me on!

Home Stretch (last .1 miles)- Going through the ‘tunnel’ with tons of people cheering me on (including my awesome wife, family and friends) was an incredible moment.

I have so much respect for guys like Jason Dittus and Ben Snyder (who finished this race in under 2 hours. Amazing!) that have done and continue to do full marathons! It’s an incredible discipline that admire a lot!

Also, if you are interested, this is the schedule I solely used to train myself for the marathon. Novice Half Marathon Training. That and a talking to alot of experienced people who know a ton about how to safely run a marathon without seriously hurting yourself.

hi! my name is tam from inprogress. each thursday i swap blog posts with another blogger. jason called shot gun right out of the gates, so… i made sure he didnt get the first swap. thats the mean mom in me.

thanks jason for letting me spew mindless things here!

ive always thought it was funny that jason calls himself the worst blogger. im not sure what would define the “worst” of us bloggers, but i sure wouldnt say jason is the worst! maybe…3rd or 4th, but definitely not the worst. i kid!

anyway…jason, i dont know how long youve been blogging, but ive been at it for only a year and a half now and ive noticed a lot of changes in the blogworld. namely…fallen stats. have you all noticed this?

ive talked to several of my friends who have found the same thing with their blogs. there seems to be no rhyme (i had to pause to remember how to spell rhyme. OH! paused again!) or reason to it. none that we know of at least.

do you all have any ideas? is it just getting old? do we suck? maybe its twitter? perhaps twitter is taking over?

if you had to stop blogging or twittering, which would you drop? why?

for those of you who dont twitter (shame on you) what one online source of creative communication would you stick with? and why that one?
