I’m so sorry for the loss of your mentor!! I know it is sad and yet it is happy. As soon as I read on Stephanie’s blog that Marilyn was with Jesus, I headed to your blog. I knew you would have some thoughts. Thank you so much for your honesty and for your boldness. There does come a day that we must acknowledge that “you are called to a better place than that”! I’m so grateful for the night that I had with you and alison in the car and the talk we had. I have thought of it many times. You were able to share more about Marilyn that night. Thank you!! Stacy, thank you for your bold statement of faith. I join you in proclaiming the power of the Father and Son and Spirit and that by the authority in Christ we can boldly and confidently ask that Marilyn be healed. I believe she will be.
For about 4 years Marilyn was a spiritual mother to me and my husband and grandmother to our little boys. By the power of the Holy Spirit she was able to be that for every young family — while still making each of us feel special. I got to go visit her and Chuck on the farm 3 years ago and it was like going home, though I’d never been there. I thank God for the moments spent in her presence, there I began to see life lived connected to Him.

Stacy, this is beautiful. Sarah Dyer put her on our prayer list at preschool, and we believe. I don’t know Marilyn personally, but I really wish I did.
