We adore the beginning of their love story.  When they met by chance in 2019, Maclay happened to live in Newport while Sam lived in Pasadena– which is to say the least, a trek. While planning their first date, Sam went above and beyond the saying “meet them halfway”, saying that he would meet Maclay in Huntington Beach– a little closer to Maclay, and something that both she (and Jeff and I) think was incredibly thoughtful and sweet.   

Yet like anyone who is a ~little~ nervous for their first date, Maclay had made sure to tell him that she had someone to meet in the area– which she promptly forgot about after she sat down across from someone who she thought was the most charming and funny person she’d ever met. 

But after several hours of talking and getting to know one another like they’d known one another for years, Sam remembered, “didn’t Maclay have somewhere to go and someone to meet?”  Maclay laughed, admitted that she had made a fake appointment for after their date in case it didn’t go well, and stayed on the date instead. The rest is history.

It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that this distance got a little harder; with everyone unable to go out to restaurants for dates, quarantining in their home, and lysol-wiping everything, they knew they didn’t want to spend however long apart– and so Sam moved in with Maclay, and realized that he never wanted to move out. Throughout the pandemic, that time together made their love grow even stronger– with the two working from home remotely, they got used to spending time around one another, and life became easier and easier. 

 Throughout their time cooped up together, Sam and Maclay became one another’s best friends– and that’s something that always makes Jeff and I SO happy when we get to know our couples.  The mutual admiration and respect that come with friendship are two of the things Jeff and I believe make the strongest, most loving couples.

And from getting to know Sam and Maclay before their Newport Harbor engagement session, it’s clear that the two of them are one another’s biggest fans and supporters.

Whether it’s celebrating Sam passing the bar as they were cooped up in the apartment or just spending time together around their home watching their favorite tv shows, every little moment that they shared together was made even that much sweeter and more special because they were experiencing it with one another.  When you experience a love like that, it’s hard to not want that for the rest of your life– and that’s why Sam knew he not only wanted to propose, but needed to propose to Maclay because without her next to him to celebrate and experience the big and small moments of life, it wouldn’t be the same.  

And after proposing?  They lived happily ever after in Newport, where they have been able to start planning the most incredible wedding.  With the help of Susanne Duffy from Crown Weddings, they’ve started finding vendors (like us!) who will help make all of their wedding dreams come true.  When we first met them, we got to sit down to discuss where they wanted to have their engagement session– and we knew a Newport Harbor engagement session would be perfect.  The place of their first home, the place where Maclay grew up and became a second grade teacher, it shared sentimental and special moments for each of them– and on top of that, was beautiful!

Getting to go out with them on the boat and with their dog was such a special experience– we absolutely love getting to capture our couples just having fun and in their own element; it makes it so much more special that they’re doing something they love with the person they love– and in this case, in the place they love!  Sam and Maclay’s Newport Harbor engagement session was on the perfect day too; blue skies and the sun shining, they were able to just sit back and enjoy their day on the water. 

 Jeff and I got to take some incredible photos of Sam and Maclay doing one thing they do best– spending time together and making one another laugh.  It isn’t often that our couples are able to relax in front of the camera so quickly, but the way that Sam and Maclay were able to make one another so comfortable was incredible.  With lots of laughs, a few glasses of champagne, and ~lots~ of photos taken, we headed back to shore and finished up the final photos of this Newport Harbor engagement session.

To Sam and Maclay, thank you, thank you, thank you for choosing to work with us to capture these moments in your relationship and life.  When we met you, we were so grateful that Susanne Duffy introduced us to another one of her incredible couples, and to people who truly understand that friendship is crucial for a strong and happy marriage.  We hope you had as much fun as Jeff did during your Newport Harbor engagement session— We have loved getting to know you two, spend time with you, and we cannot wait to capture your stunning wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines.

When we say that our #TYDreamies are family oriented, we mean it; we LOVE seeing the details that highlight our couples’ traditions. It’s incredibly emotional to think about the generations of family that have come before, and this wedding was FULL of passed down heirlooms, tearful and sweet moments, and in the end was as perfect as a TY wedding can be!

Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings designed and coordinated this incredible event, and we feel so lucky that both we and they got to work with her! Susanne always manages to create weddings that are so full of tradition, love, and little touches that show how much she gets to know the couple and what they value. Whether it’s being able to connect them to incredible floral designers like Parker and Posies, helping them find ways to include what’s important to them, we love getting to work with her to capture her weddings!

Dave and Kate’s story starts when the pair met in grade school at the Bishops School in La Jolla– while they often crossed paths and saw one another across the quad, they were only acquaintances and saw one another briefly in passing. After Kate graduated Bishop’s, the pair ran into one another in Chicago as she started her college career at Northwestern, and he began the tail end of his time at the University of Chicago. In fact, Dave and Kate often saw one another on plane rides home for the holidays, a friendly and familiar face across the boarding area or aisle.

It wasn’t until Kate decided to apply to and attend law school that she and Dave crossed paths again after a mentor and friend recommended that she reach out to him, as he was in his third year and knew the ins and outs of the application. Fate almost seemed to pair the two together once again, as he gave sage advice and talked her through the process of applications and first year stress. But it wasn’t love at first sight– theirs is the kind of slow candle burn love that culminates in a flame, the kind of love that starts out in mutual appreciation, admiration, and respect until the pair realizes that they just can’t spend another day without one another.

As you all know, Jeff and I love tradition, and this wedding went above and beyond. Kate wore her great-grandmother’s bracelet that was nearly a century old and a garter that had been passed down throughout the family. She also wore her own sister’s wedding dress from over a decade ago that Kate had spent a year reworking to make her own. It’s rare to find so many family heirlooms from different generations culminate into one perfect outfit; yet it did, and Kate looked absolutely radiant in them.

With the air scented by the stunning floral arrangements by Parker & Posies, the ceremony also reminded us of how much they honor the legacy that has been passed down to them. Her godmother and his godfather officiated the ceremony and they hung a Talit above the chuppah that had messages from friends and family sewn into it, bringing all of the love and well wishes of the people they love into their married life. We absolutely loved seeing how much thought that Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings was able to work with regarding the details of this wedding, and how Kate and Dave’s family helped to put into each note, and the details that they included.

It wasn’t long after the dinner that Michael Tiernan of Still Listening Productions had everyone, bride and groom included, twirling out on the dance floor as they spent the night laughing and celebrating the fact that Dave and Kate were finally married. We loved getting a chance to see the couple smile and laugh as they reflected on how they had finally made it to the moment after, the moment where they were finally husband and wife.

Dave and Kate’s Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa wedding was full of the things that make #TYcouple a #TYcouple; family, tradition, and deep, appreciative love. To Dave and Kate, thank you, thank you, thank you for letting us be a part of your day and photograph the beautiful traditions that your family passed down. It was truly a JOY working with you two, and we feel so lucky that you chose US. Your love is strong and resilient, and we love you dearly!

It all began during the height of the pandemic, when their dates and dinners were outdoors and distanced. But the circumstances forced them to focus on the important things, and they had an instant connection.

Beyond their shared love of travel and skiing and staying active outdoors, all of their most important values lined up… it was the kind of “you get me” feeling that catapulted their spark into a flame.

After many hardships in life prior to their relationship, it’s so obvious that a deep gratitude overflows out from both Chris and Kandace when they’re together. After patiently waiting for the right person, every minute they have together feels endlessly precious.

And their families couldn’t have agreed more – they instantly fell in love with Chris and Kandace as a couple, and couldn’t WAIT to celebrate them.

Chris and Kandace dreamed of celebrating their love with the ocean waves within earshot, so they couldn’t have had a more classic, elegant, beautiful venue than Montage Laguna Beach. The view of the water at dinner… the portraits near the water… it was a dream come true.

Their oceanfront wedding reception was perfectly designed for them, and their vendor team made it all so seamless! Emily Smiley was their incredible wedding planner and designer, everything was caught on film by ScenEmotion Films, and Jordan Music Entertainment was the energetic and talented band that kept the whole guest list dancing!

The elegant dinner reception, the golden hour portraits, the hearts-of-gold couple… this wedding was soul-inspiring and heart-melting all in one! I know you’re going to love Chris & Kandace!

The story began just over five years ago; it was the summer before their senior year and both Jordynn and Aidan were contemplating their future, while looking forward to starting their final year at Bucknell College.  Somehow, the pair had never crossed paths, but that summer they began to suddenly see a lot more of one another as Jordynn’s sorority sister and Aidan’s fraternity brother had begun to date towards the tail end of their penultimate year.  And as the two spent more time together, the more one another knew that they didn’t want to waste another moment.  

Over the next five years, the pair has gotten to know one another– and see how they both compliment one another in every way.  From the way that Aidan and Jordynn both treasure both their own families and one anothers’ to the way that Aidan says that Jordynn feels like home, these two are a match made in heaven.  The couple both opted to keep the bridal party to family only, wanting to make it a special day that would bond them even closer with their siblings by giving them all a special memory that they could treasure together. 

At this Wadsworth mansion wedding, the bridal party walked down the aisle with jewel toned bouquets designed by Sharon Elizabeth’s Floral Design 

Their first song only highlighted how important family and tradition was to them, and almost made us tear up as we watched them glide around the dance floor to Dan and Shay’s “From the Ground Up”– with the dulcet voices singing “And we’ll build this love from the ground up/ Now ’til forever it’s all of me, all of you/ Just take my hand/ And I’ll be the man your dad hoped that I’d be” as family, friends, and loved ones surrounded them was a surreal and beautiful moment.   Looking around this Wadsworth Mansion wedding, there was hardly a dry eye in the room. 

It wasn’t long until After Hours Events had everyone back on the dance floor, the floor full of friends, family, and the stunning couple going round and round, enjoying the great music and company.  The rest of night was full of laughs, joy, and celebration of the fact that these two families had finally become one– and that Jordynn and Aidan could finally begin to write their beautiful love story finally in one place, and together.

We feel SO lucky that we were able to be a part of Jordynn and Aidan’s day– to you two, we thank you immensely for letting us see and be a part of such a special occasion as seeing your families brought together.   Thank you for letting us come out and photograph your sentimental and sweet celebrations– we wish you all of the happiness in the world..

As Kelsey was just about to step into her wedding dress, I told her this right here. ^^ And boy-oh-boy, did she take it to heart.

From the nervous jitters to the joyful moments and EVERY emotion in between, Kelsey and her groom Kyle FELT it all. 🥰

They (and their incredible families!) leaned into being as present and as grounded in their emotions as possible. And it produced the most beautiful, emotional, heart-melting day. 💕

This is exactly why Jeff and I have adored photographing couples like Kyle & Kelsey for the last 15+ years. We open up a piece of our hearts with our couples, and they open the floodgates to theirs.

It’s how we can go from laughing with our couples to crying with them within seconds – because they’ve allowed us into some of the most tender and emotional moments of one of the most tender and emotional days of their lives. It is such an astoundingly beautiful process to guide our couples through… it’s vulnerable, it’s raw, and it’s fueled by a crazy, deep, transformative love.

And every moment of their wedding day truly was perfect. They had a full Catholic ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Coronado, a cocktail hour (and unforgettable first dance!) inside the gorgeous halls of San Diego Museum of Art, and an elegant dinner on the lawn outside of Panama 66 in Balboa Park.

We have to credit the incredible wedding team for transforming these spaces for the happy couple – they did an AMAZING job! The team at Luxe Special Events planned and executed every gorgeous detail, Parker & Posies created these jaw-dropping blooms, and the Lucky Devils Band entertained the crowd and made for an epic dance-party!

Jeff and I have been head-over-heels for this sweet couple since their adorable engagement session at the Hotel Del Coronado (check it out here!!) – and we have all been patiently waiting for their wedding for just about two years, due to postponements.

But when their Scripps Seaside Forum wedding day came, it was EVERYTHING.

From the weepy, joyful moment Taylor put on her wedding gown, to their hysterical-and-heartwarming ceremony, to their salsa-inspired first dance… It was a day brimming with love.

Everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about the way these two bring out the best in each other – their officiant called it out in the ceremony, and their families spoke about it in the toasts. It was so clear: Bob and Taylor are MADE for each other.

The team taking care of Bob and Taylor on their wedding day was top-notch in talent and heart! It was a joy to serve this amazing couple alongside the White Lace Events team, who planned each detail with love and grace. Bill Calhoun was their salsa-lovin’ DJ, Breesa at Blooms Design House designed the florals, and the team at A Toast to Beauty made for a fabulous glam squad!

She’s a nurse with a calm, caring spirit, he’s a neurosurgeon with a passion for flying, painting, and learning new things whenever he can. But together, their power-couple vibes stem from their humility and kindness, not just from the incredible things they have accomplished.

Zach and Caitlin were both raised to be ambitious and selfless. We saw just exactly how their parents adore and believe in them – as individuals, and as a couple. Their special relationships gave us the mom & dad feeeeels… Jeff and I hope and pray for the same kind of special connection with our boys, too!

We were googly-eyed for every single detail of Zach and Caitlin’s impossibly romantic wedding at The Lodge at Torrey Pines – but it goes far beyond just the stunning florals & epic ocean views…

It was the emotion-filled hug Caitlin shared with her dad the first time he saw her in her gown, and the moments Zach shared with his best man that slowed him down and helped him soak it alllll in.

One of the best moments?! Caitlin’s amazing parents arranged for a plane to circle the reception with an adorable banner that read “Zach ❤️ Caitlin.” Talk about EPIC. SWOONS. With Zach being a pilot, it was an extra meaningful surprise!

Truly, it was the little moments that made this day so special!

The illustrious Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings and Events brought together all of the details of Zach and Caitlin’s wedding, including the most fabulous team! All of the gorgeous blooms were designed by Splendid Sentiments, delicious desserts crafted by Michele Coulon Dessertier, and their guests stayed on their dancin’ feet because of the energy and talent from their band, the Republic of Music!

She was the super-cute employee at his dad’s ski shop. And although Dan was super into Savanna, he didn’t want to make any moves because she was the BEST employee – and he didn’t want to mess that up for the shop. 😂

But soon enough, it was clear that didn’t matter… he couldn’t resist the life they could share.

And we could see it, too – these two are best friends, incredibly connected, and love doing everything side by side. Their hearts beat to the same rhythm of adrenaline and adventure – from skiing to hiking to playing sports together, Dan and Savanna would do everything all day together if they could.

Their destination wedding day at The Lodge Torrey Pines was the perfect way to celebrate their vibrant, faithful, adventurous love.

The ocean view, the gorgeous colorful sunset, the twinkly lights and the most amazing reception design… WHAT A DREAM.

Dan and Savanna chose to do their First Look at Windansea Beach a few days prior to the wedding – it was a little unconventional, and we absolutely loved it.

There was plenty of time to soak in the excitement, snap some portraits of this gorgeous couple, and play around with portraits in an adorable classic white Porsche!

It was truly a dream-team that put this wedding weekend together for Dan and Savanna! We loved working alongside Susanne Duffy of Crown Weddings & Events, who planned each detail flawlessly. The video team at Focused Bliss captured everything on film, and the Lucky Devils Band made this celebration into a partayyyy!

But Kyle could not wait another day to propose.

Overlooking a beautiful lake in Wisconsin where they had been visiting with Kelsey’s family, Kyle pulled Kelsey aside from their family dinner to take a walk down to the dock to look around.

She immediately laughed and refused – ummmm… maybe another time when it’s not raining?!

But that ring was burning a hole in Kyle’s pocket, so he said, “Well, then I’ll carry you.”

After some awkward mishaps with their umbrella and some very-confusing-stalling so the timing could all work out, Kyle got down on one knee and proposed to a VERY confused (and freezing cold and soaking wet) Kelsey.

But she was saying yes to a life of laughter with her best friend, so it was the easiest YES she’s ever given.

And even after living in a tiny studio apartment in Chicago for months and months of quarantine, Kelsey and Kyle are still madly in love (and best friends!).

These two have a lightness and joy within them that make them the perfect match. Jeff and I fell in LOVE with them the minute we met!!

Their engagement session was one of those evenings where everything just felt RIGHT. Perfect gorgeous weather, incredible golden light, lovely sweet couple, and a whole lotta love in the air!

We began at Kelsey’s parents’ lovely Coronado home, and then enjoyed the beach at sunset right near Hotel Del Coronado. And it was MAGICAL. Throughout the entire evening, it seemed like time stood still each time Kyle and Kelsey locked eyes. You’re going to love this one, friends!

They settled for a month (or more!) at a time in hostels and hotels across the globe – wherever they could find a place to plug in their laptops and work when they weren’t busy exploring (and eating!).

They let their stomachs be their guides as they ate their way through Southeast Asia and consumed bowls and bowls of pasta in Italy… (#scalesbedamned)

Alex and Kat’s love story – and love for adventure – brought them to gorgeous great walks in New Zealand, unforgettable hikes at Macchu Picchu, and months of soaking up the culture of Tuscany.

So Alex and Kat wanted an engagement session that felt like their travels! They love everything about wandering and exploring and eating their way through a new city, so walking around a place like Little Italy felt like a little slice of heaven.

Just days after restrictions were lifted in San Diego, they had the wedding of their dreams in their original venue, with their original guest list, and with all the original dance moves they planned on breaking out laaaate into the night.

When they first dreamed of their wedding day, Sarah knew it would be the most joyful day – amazing friends & family all dancing together to the good music – and her dream came true.

(Little did she know it would be the first time in over a YEAR that some of these friends would have a chance to be at a dance party.)

Chance couldn’t WAIT to be standing at that altar with his bride, in front of all of his favorite people. He could imagine himself feeling all those giddy feelings that this was finally happening.

(He just didn’t know it would take another two years for it to all come together as planned.)

Just as they dreamed, their wedding day at The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe was just so joyful and FULL of amazing energy from their friends and family!

From top to bottom, this day felt GOOD.

And it was a huge bonus that their wedding vendor team was the most delightful group of people, all expertly doing their thannng to make Chance and Sarah’s day that much better! Amy of First Comes Love was their incredible wedding planner, Organic Elements created these dreamy bridal florals, and their wedding band (Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment) had the whole crew showing off their best moves all night long!

After their traditional Indian ceremony on day one, Nikhil and Tracy dressed in a spiffy tuxedo and gorgeous Lazaro gown for day two of their glamorous wedding weekend… and we are in LOVE with both of their amazing wedding looks! (If you haven’t already seen Part One of their wedding, go check out their colorful first day right now!)

Their families mean the world to these two, and after a year like 2020, it was even more meaningful to share such a special day with their favorite people.

In fact, Nikhil and Tracy told us later that they wanted to forever remember the sheer joy that their guests had in coming together to celebrate them. And celebrate, they did.

It was so clear how proud everyone was to be part of their day – His precious mother was beaming from ear-to-ear all weekend long, and Nikhil’s sweet dad shared a few tears in his speech, and constantly was by his side to support and attend to him.

Nikhil’s friends highlighted over and over again how he is a guy who is always there for you no matter what – he’ll never hesitate to drop what he’s doing to help you out.

And Tracy’s girls spent time each sharing words about her as they prepared for the day, and couldn’t help but gush about how kind and loyal and irreplaceable she is as a friend.

After their beautiful vows at the ceremony, Nikhil and Tracy went down to the beach with us to enjoy a calm moment together at sunset… and right then, everything felt at peace.

And it all felt so, so worth it.

I would be remiss to mention Gina and her team at Pure Lavish Events did in executing every detail. They pulled off this weekend without a hitch and served this couple with such heart – we’ve always had so much love and respect for planners, but after 2020, our admiration is through the roof! (See the full list of wedding vendors at the bottom of this post!)

Nikhil and Tracy incorporated so many fun personal touches into their wedding day: Each table was themed with a city where they had traveled to together, and they ended the night with a California classic: an In-n-Out Burger truck! And OH MY GOODNESS! You have to check out their AMAZING elephant ice sculpture… it was just too good.

I’m simply in LOVE with this wedding, my friends. Go dive into alllll the beauty there is to behold!

Nikhil and Tracy: Oh my oh my oh myyy!! Can we go back and do it all again? Your wedding weekend was one of the brightest spots in 2020 for us – it was a privilege to share in the joy with you! Your hearts are beautifully aligned with what matters most, and it was such a deeply meaningful experience for Jeff and me. Sending you all the love!

And it’s so clear to us that Nikhil and Tracy truly understand the meaning of marriage.

They are fully aware of the gift that they have in each other, and they hold deep admiration and respect for the other. But they understand it isn’t all going to be a cake-walk…  and most importantly, they are committed to walking through it all together as an infallible team.

Jeff and I fell in love with Nikhil and Tracy’s genuine, kind, committed hearts at their gorgeous engagement session at Crystal Cove… but sooo much has happened since that evening in early 2020.

Working as physicians during a global pandemic AND trying to plan a wedding would take a toll on anyone… but dang, these two inspire us.

Nikhil and Tracy have managed to keep their feet firmly planted, and their hearts focused on what matters most.

And it made their wedding celebration that much more special.

In fact, day one of Nikhil and Tracy’s Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel wedding was nothing short of PERFECT. Their traditional Indian Baraat ceremony was exploding with color and energy and music… and completely brimming with joy. 

After a year of stress and uncertainty, the lighthearted feeling in the air was positively indescribable.

The dancing and celebration and togetherness filled up our hearts, and it was evident that it filled up the hearts of each and every guest, too! 

Tracy’s first traditional Indian wedding experience was her own, and it was so fun to witness both her excitement to experience each moment, as well as see Nikhil watch Tracy delight in embracing every meaningful tradition. The gorgeous henna by their amazing artist Vaishali Bellad, the incredible musical stylings of their sitar player Ronobir Lahiri, and ALL of the incredible colorful details… it was all so uplifting and joyful! 

I just can’t wait to share all these images with you, my friend… all the colors and smiling faces are sure to lift your wedding-deprived-spirits!

Their way of loving is full of endless grace and selflessness – the kind of love that makes everyone around them take a deep, calm breath.

In his words, she’s always going above and beyond for others and always, always seems to notice everything. Hers is the kind of intuitive way that can make anyone feel seen, loved, cared for.

In her words, he pays attention to the details of what’s important to her (even how she takes her coffee), and he’s never made her feel anything but herself. His love is comfortable, caring, calming.

They chose an incredible private estate for their intimate wedding, and with the bright blue ocean on one side and beautiful rolling Laguna hills on the other, it was as calm and gorgeous as a wedding day could be.

Covid restrictions prevented their family from flying in from China, so Jason and Xiaoxi had to get creative to include family in the most special moments of the day. Xiaoxi relied on video-chatting her parents while she showed off her gorgeous gown, and they streamed the moment when they said their vows.

Jason and Xiaoxi had a wonderful team of wedding vendors that navigated the wedding planning (and re-planning) process with them. From their lovely and organized wedding planner, Tricia Dahlgren, to the blooms by Jovial Floral Co, and everyone in between – this was a team full of love for this sweet couple!

This wedding day is seriously GORGEOUS, my friends – and I cannot wait for you to look through the highlights! The serene setting, the smiling couple, the sweet family and guests… yes please!

Jennifer Ryals began her wedding photography business just a few years ago and it took off a lot faster than she hoped or expected. So like many photographers, she came into 2020 with big goals for her rapidly growing business.

However, so much has happened in the years leading up to 2020, that the COVID pandemic has caused Jennifer to truly pause and reflect on what her future as a photographer looks like.

In this episode, Jennifer opens up about her experiences with her mental and physical health as well as the racism she’s experienced as a black female wedding photographer in the years leading up to 2020.

We also talk about  how she’s been coping with the pandemic itself while serving her clients and navigating decisions about the future of her business.

But selling physical products can feel complicated, sleazy and just plain overwhelming.

The first was a move back to the west coast, and the second was being re-introduced to a special guy named Dave.

She was a La Jolla born girl living in Chicago, but life pulled Kate back to the west coast. She had a deep conviction to be closer to her family – life was far too crazy to be that far away from the people she loved the most.

Once she was knee-deep into law-school, a mentor reconnected her with a guy she had known named Dave: “Do you remember Dave? He’s going to be a third year, and you should ask him for advice…”

She didn’t know it then, but that little connecting point would be a tipping point in her story. Dave and Kate began as law school buddies and became much more than that – best friends who fell in love.

(When we first talked with Kate and David, this conversation gave us goosebumps – it’s just amazing how the dots are connected, sometimes!)

It was so fun to capture their sweet relationship on a lovely evening at Windansea! These two have a comfortable way around each other that makes it SO easy to love them.

The whole time, James has basically *always* known that Jenna was the one. And if it couldn’t be her, he really didn’t want it to be anyone else.

Photographing this wedding day was soooo stinkin’ special for Jeff and me, because we’ve been friends of Jenna’s for over 15 years! It was SO emotional and special to walk through her day together side by side, capturing her love story with our hearts and our cameras. We felt so lucky!

(And so can you imagine how choked up we were to hear James talk about her like this?? Jeffy was in puddles…)

Jenna and James reconnected last year, and everything about their love story fell into place in the most beautiful, perfect, God-ordained way.​

They said “I do” on a gorgeous ranch beneath the Three Sisters mountains in Bend, Oregon – and what an utterly jaw-dropping scene it was! This sweet couple stopped to pause and embrace the majestic mountain view in as many moments of the day as possible.

I know this wedding will give you the feels, too! This was a special one!

James and Jenna: You could have had your wedding ANYWHERE, and Jeff and I would have traveled across the world to be there. Nothing could have stopped us! Your love is radiant and your story is simply beautiful and the love of God shines through you. and it meant the world to us to us to be alongside you to celebrate. Love you bunches and bunches!
