Zac Efron drops condom? Actor appears to be caught with contraceptive at ‘The Lorax’ premiere

Zac Efron walked the orange carpet at the L.A. premiere of his latest family-friendly flick, “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax,” last weekend and accidentally dropped a not-so-family-friendly personal item on the ground for all to see.

In a video that is quickly making its rounds online, the former “High School Musical” star, now 24, appears to drop a small, shiny gold condom package as he reaches into his pocket to hand off a few things to someone just off the carpet.

Though it hasn’t been verified that the item in question was indeed a condom, the actor’s blushing reaction as he quickly picked up the misplaced square packet seemed to confirm what his publicists have not.

Efron is seen mouthing the words “Oh my God!" presumably to his publicist before taking a deep breath and donning his stunner shades to face the paparazzi.

He brings fist to mouth as he stifles a nervous laugh, then continues with the event. The former Disney star plays opposite Taylor Swift in the animated film, but he’s most recently been linked to actress Lily Collins, 22.

The rumors suggesting Zac Efron is dating Lily Collins might turn out to be true after all. The Logan Thibault of "The Lucky One" has been photographed leaving the Soho House in West Hollywood together with the "Mirror Mirror" actress on Valentine's Day last Tuesday, February 14.

Efron was at the time dressed in a blue button-down and a pair of black pants, while Collins rocked a white jacket, black trousers and high heeled boots. Making their way into an awaiting car, the 24-year-old actor trailed behind the 22-year-old beauty. Words are, the rumored couple shared a romantic dinner at the club.

It was not the first time Efron and Collins were spotted together though. A little more than a week earlier, the twosome were spotted attending a friend's birthday party together at STK restaurant in West Hollywood. A source told PEOPLE, "They even walked in holding hands. They had a drink at the bar together and then joined the birthday crew on the patio."

Efron has previously dated his "High School Musical" co-star Vanessa Hudgens. The two broke up in December 2010. While he hasn't had a serious public romance since then, Hudgens dates Austin Butler. As for Collins, the "Abduction" actress was previously linked romantically to her on-screen love interest, Taylor Lautner.

The hot new couple were spotted leaving Soho House in Los Angeles this week after spending a few hours together at the A-list venue on the day before Valentine's Day.

Lily looked happy and relaxed as she left the LA haunt with the handsome actor. Zac first sparked rumours he was seeing Phil Collins' actress daughter when they enjoyed a romantic steak dinner together two weeks ago. They snuck out of the back entrance before leaving in a waiting SUV together.

This time they were less coy, with Lily leading the way as they left via the main entrance.
Up-and-coming actress Lily plays Snow White in the big screen adaptation of the Grimm Brothers' famous fairy tale — Mirror Mirror: The Untold Adventures of Snow White — due to be released later this year.

Zac, 24, previously dated his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens for four years before they split in 2010. Lily enjoyed a brief romance with her Abduction co-star Taylor Lautner, which reportedly ended in September last year.

Actors Zac Efron and Lily Collins were out and about in West Hollywood on Friday afternoon, doing some errands and even stopping at the liquor store. They were spotted leaving a friend's birthday a week ago hand in hand.

According to a report from Just Jared, speculation is running rampant as to whether the two are in fact a couple. The New Year's Eve star and the Abduction and Snow White actress (and daughter of Phil Collins) certainly would make a cute couple--wouldn't they?

It used to be if a couple was spotted holding hands, that a certain degree of courting was taking place. Do you think hand holding has any pull in today's society? With people often sleeping together on the first and second date, has the old dating ritual of holding hands simply gone by the wayside?

Has Zac Efron even been tied to a significant girlfriend since his split with Vanessa Hudgens? Zac and Vanessa met on the High School Musical set in 2005 and continued dating until some time in 2010. It would seem that Lily Collins would be a very nice choice of a new girlfriend if he is actually looking to date exclusively.

A source who saw the two leaving Zac's friend's birthday party seemed to think there was no doubt the two were a couple. "There were definitely together!" the source said. What do you think? Web rumors have been flying that Taylor Swift and Zac Efron—the High School Musical alum who's co-starring with Taylor in an upcoming Dr. Seuss movie—are dating. The two were spotted being "flirty" at a dinner together last month in L.A., and the web blew up from there.

Zac did nothing to quash those rumors in an intervew with TV's Extra that aired Tuesday (Feb. 7). Asked what he was doing for Valentine's Day, Zac said, "I might just sit at home . . . and cry."When told Taylor said the same thing, Zac replied, "She's alone, too? We'll team up then!"

Uh-oh. "Wait a sec," he quickly added. "Uh, no, we're really good friends. She's trying to teach me how to play the guitar."OK then. You can catch Zac and Taylor together on the big screen—or hear their voices, at least—in the animated movie The Lorax, which opens March 2.

Because Hollywood has more in common with your average high school homeroom than most people care to admit, here's some semi-substantiated rumor mongering to start off your day: Zac Efron and Lily Collins are, like, totally dating, y'all. Or are they?

People reports that the two appeared hand-in-hand at a birthday party for one of Zac's friends and shared an intimate cocktail at the bar before joining the rest of the group. Oooh! Romance! (Although Zac was flying solo by the time he turned up at a late-night hotspot—possibly because the star of "Mirror Mirror" needs lots of sleep to maintain her hard-won status as Fairest of Them All.)

And...well, that's all there is, unfortunately. There's no official word from the stars on whether or not they're involved, and there's not so much as a grainy cellphone photo of the two of them canoodling. But hey, at least this should dispel any rumors about Zac being Demi Moore's new boy-toy—and if we may be so bold as to suggest it, we think Zac and Lily make a picture-perfect couple. They look so cute together! And imagine all the conversations they can have about proper eyebrow maintenance techniques! This is so a match made in heaven.

"They even walked in holding hands," a source tells PEOPLE of the two, who were at the restaurant for a birthday party for one of Efron's friends. "They had a drink at the bar together and then joined the birthday crew on the patio," the source adds.

Also hanging out with the birthday party posse: 90210's Ryan Rottman. The same night, Efron, 24, was spotted partying at Hollywood hotspot Lexington Social House, where he greeted Miley Cyrus. Efron was later seen getting into a chauffeured SUV, closely followed by the 22-year-old 'Mirror Mirror' actress. "Zac literally ran to the car and jumped in, leaving Lily behind. But Lily kept her cool and took her time. She wasn't as worried about not being seen by us. She probably didn't want to trip in her heels!," an onlooker said.
