I went to the Singapore Toy, Games and Comics Convention (STGCC) at Suntec City with my usual foursome gang ^^ was a great break from studying like mad for my O's XD

This bumble bee is totally awesome! His eyes can *blink* *blink*!! Not your usual cardboards which always drop off an arm or a leg in the middle of no where and need masking tape to the rescue.

I hope my ears are still functioning well; I heard K-ON! songs coming from bumble bee!? (o.O)

LOL! I am sure you can guess who is he from ^^; His IGN is SiaoSoul, went to ask him his lvl and he said he is 111.

Cosplay: SHINE Youth Festival

Yesterday was the SHINE Youth Festival at the area infront of Ngee Ann City at Orchoad Road. It was a very sunny sunny saturday with hordes of people flooding down the road. When I reach there, I seriously dunno what was happening ^^;

Little vader is soooo cute! >.<

Only a couple of anime cosplayers were there, most of them are your superheroes.

There were some cosplay competitions and events going on the stage but I was actually going around shopping rather than staying there ^^; so missed out some stuff.

Some street performances going on. This band performed the Mr Brown's "Wash Your Hands too", a song parody from Wonder Girls's "Nobody". Everyone was like staring at them when they hear those lyrics lol.

The main event of today is actually this Mascot Parade where the partcipants march from Wisma Atria back to Ngee Ann City.

OMG. This was the second time those feelings of "dunno what I am taking" came back since the speech day photographing for my school. For god's sake, I really dunno what I was taking, I just kept pressing the shutter.

To be honest, there wasn't really anything that exciting beside the cosplay thingy so left early because friends are bored too ^^; And to add it up, we went to our rounds of shopping throughout the event ^^;

Saw the K-ON! manga at Kinokuniya and quickly grabbed it home! XD Anyways beside the books is the SHINE bandana whicb was used in the event to break record of most number of people wearing it. Where I left early ^^;

KYAAA~ Nagi-sama!! XD Dont like the current full scale figures of Nagi so got the nendo first in hope of a miracle >.<

I was looking at people complaining about the size figure boxes and come to think of it, nendo boxes do seem abit too spacious for a few hands, two heads and a body.

They could've stuck them into a size of a toilet roll?

I wanted to bring Nagi out to a temple for a photoshoot but the presence of those stinky air and prohibition of photography drive me away ^^;

Yui is lacking of love from her avid fans of K-ON due to the blue-white striped ricebowl flasher Mio who brainwashed all of Yui's fanpower under her ricebowl charisma.

In terms of moeness, Yui still has that handful of moeness that will not lose to Mio.

Yui's hated habit of only going to club for food, food and food might be scornful but if you view it at another angle, it is one of the thing that makes her cute!

Yui doing nothing but eat is definitely not a very educational material but doing nothing is just so Yui! So lets leave it.

So, there is no reason for Yui to be disliked or ostracized! You can start appreciating Yui's existence in K-ON by knowing these 15 thingy about her.

One, clumsy.

Bro brought a apple strudel from Ritz home this afternoon ^^ Ritz is a pastries and strudels store at upper thomson road.

Its very very long!

Yummy yummy~ Love the custard and the sugar coating at the top ^^ The apple is kind of sour and makes the strudel to have a sweet and sourly taste. Love the cripsiness too ^^ Just bite and they will crisp into pieces ^^;

Full of apple! And I have to eat the layers seperately. Too big ^^; でも, おいしです！

Hatsukoi Limited is Manga Limited?

Hatsukoi Limited is another must watch for me besides K-ON!, Fullmetal Alchemist, Polyphonica, Tayutama and Hayate no Gotoku for this season ^^

Hatsukoi Limited portrays a group of young high school girls in their adolescene, meeting their very first love which consists of many hot guys ^^ except for one kappa face ^^;

Wild grizzly bear has appeared! What will Ash do?

Hatsukoi Limited's storyline so far has been following the manga's very closely except for just a little bit of add-ons. I guess the story will just follow throughout, but maybe you can expect a little twist at the ending just like author Kawashita Mizuki's previous work, Ichigo 100%?

I bet you goes ...... too!

Although Hatsukoi has been ranted about having all whitey whitey background, the artwork is really nice since its sooo close to the original manga's drawings! I like the manga's drawings, Kawashita sensei is soooo good at drawing hot bishies! ^^

Zaitsu-kun is hot! ^^

Ayumi and the other girls are really really totally too naive to fall for such stupid tricks. Hey! What are you without a boyfriend talking here? ^^;

Zaitsu Misao is the nickname of the grizzly bear that has appeared previously. I wonder have Ash caught it yet?

The ending song Hatsukoi Limited by marble (who sings Kimikiss OP too) sounds alot nicer than the mediocre opening song ^^;

Opening song Future Stream by the main characters' seiyuu (voice actors) is kind of average, like those song that you once hears and won't remember ^^;

Koyoi-chan kawaii!! ^^

Now we have a brocon sister? Thats why I say they are too naive! But Koyoi-chan still kawaii~ ^^

Many seems to be displeased about Hatsukoi's manga ending. But I am very satisfied with it since it is "hatsukoi" and what can you expect?

Naive.

The story is very interesting as you can never see such things happening in reality. You get girls falling in love with you at first lollipop, a siscon brother who runs first when danger appears, a kawaii brocon sister who flies at you, laughs at naive girls, nosebleeds at hot guys.. Although I keep saying naive but Hatsukoi is still very fun to watch. Every epiosode is full of surprises. And you will anticipate soooo much for the ending before you realise it, whos going with who? ^^

I know Misaki is the Mio here! The character most loved by you people! But too bad, she is naive too.

This is the overall look of the very naive love circles. Actually the others are very simple, only Ayumi and Zaitsu's is complicated. Anyways my fave couple is Arihara-kun and...!

HAHAHAHA, today is the official CCA (co-curricular activities) graduation day for the Sec 4 & 5s! No more CCA! No more headaches! Actually after this day, still have to go back to finish my oil painting so its not really no more CCA ^^;

Today is really really very fun! My juniors organised a wonderful party for us, the graduating seniors. I felt a little ashamed for them doing this since this vice-chariman here never does anything ^^;

Chinatown

This is some late photos from my rounds at Chinatown so so so long ago. Somethings wrong with my uploads! (they wont load!) Still have more backlogged photos to upload later ^^;

Chinatown is bustling during the chinese new year periods, throngs of people, even foreigners will come swaming to grab the new year goodies and you can never walk through a street with your body still perfectly intacted.

At times like now, there is little people and most of them are tourists. But Chinatown is not just filled with new year goodies, they are cheap stuff like clothes, accessories here too.

I got good food to recommend!

I think Po-Lo Bun is pineapple bun? Let me just delusion this as meron pan and comfort myself ^^; it tastes nice though! The skin is very crispy and they come in flavours like custard, roasted chicken.. and plain ones too ^^

Nikon D90 is such an amazing camera but too bad he got a boooo~ owner ^^; Anyway, went to the Kuro Bara cosplay, its quite a small event but didnt fail to entertain me.

This is the very cute Hello Kitty emcee and friend (pikachu).

Kuro Bara is held in Liang Court (beside Novotel) which is at Clarke Quay. Liang Court is famous for its Audio House and I think many people goes there for Kinokuniya and Japanese food, its quite a Japanese place.

First up we have some ball-jointed dolls owners who are kind enough to show us their lovely doll. I kind of like ball-jointed dolls now (all because Danny keeps showing us his Saber ;_;) but still think they are creepy ^^;

I think the last time I have been there was during primary school? Anyway, I went there with my class for some physics activity on tuesday and of course the work will never be done. (who the hell will do worksheets in a theme park!?)

It was raining since morning but luckily it stopped but too bad many of the games were under maintenence, including the rainbow =(

Here comes Mrs Chew playing the Kite Flyer with the kids. Most teachers that came with us were not playing anything but watching over the kids. What a waste of $$!

I remembered I was closing my eyes when I play this.. not because I am scared but am sleeping!

I was driving so damn slow lols. I kept braking when I was going down the slope ^^; This was my first time! Anyway, glad to see my sensei came back with her legs and hands still attached!

The two young girls went off happily with an innocent smile and twist..

I almost pulled Yi Ping's neck off lols. I was screaming when it was not even scary but I still screamed. Then we squeezed all the way out ^^;

I got out of the park pretty early in the afternoon since everyone else abandoned me ;_; I decided to call choy for entertainment, went to watch Dragonball Revolution; fighting and CG was pretty cool but the story was abit rushy.

Today is really the best day of my life where I get so many ignores that you cant even count with 10 hands and legs.

Go ahead and cover! Who tell you dare to bring a few coins back only and still have face to show up!

Just stood there under the hot sun for a few hours and I can see the true hearts of people. I was standing outside Novena Square II with a coin tin in hands, looking pitifully and..

- People PURPOSELY walk through the grass when theres such a clean path infront of me

- People PURPOSELY open umbrella infront of me and shove into my face

- People cover their face with their hands and act like they are blocking the sunlight and walk fast past me

- People dont even look at me when I ask them as if I was part of the background

- People automatically come to me to show off their stickers at me when I am not even going to ask them anything

- People see me and PURPOSELY change direction

These people very bad.. but still, theres alot of kind people and I see most of them are aunties and uncles and mother with little kids. The rich looking people however..

Flag Day is a day where the volunteers take the coin tin and ask people for donations around.

Our gathering point was at Ang Mo Kio MRT station there. Its not just my school but other schools too which is why the students are deployed everywhere in Singapore. I find this kind of stupid since its like its becoming a battlefield of coin tins. Business is bad.

Had lunch at the indonessian restuarant that Kenan is working at.

You cant just say that Singaporeans are kind. Kindness really depends solely on that person, whether he or she is willing to give or not. Its just a coin that we want from you, we are not asking you for your arm or leg you know? Its alright even if its just a 5 cent. Is giving just a coin that hard?

This is the Ayam something something.. its nice!

My legs are still wobbling now although I am so spirited at ranting lols. This is just some very prejudiced opinion so, no offence. Oh man, I dont really feel like doing vonlunteering work now.. but next time I see coin tins, I will definitely drop a coin.

Went to see Race to Witch Mountain after that, it was awesome! ^^ but still a bad day though..

I help mum with mua chee making today! Since she suddenly discovered some anicent peanut powder in the fridge lol. I did help. I help her to pour in water and switch on the fire.

Actually its kind of easy to make - Mix the flour with water. Bake it for a few minutes. Cut it up to small pieces. Cover it with peanut. And TA~DAA~

To tell you the truth. Too bad, I forgot to add in sugar and it tasted like rubber. (hah!? oh dear. You ate rubber before?? o.O)

I went to Clarke Quay with a friend to do some photoshoot. It was raining when we got there but luckily it stopped before we got scammed into buying umbrella from a convenience store ^^;

Just a moment ago the sky was still overhanging with dark clouds. Things sure change fast.

Clarke Quay is more of a tourist place but Singaporeans go there too, its just that its not really a shopping place. I think Clarke Quay is also one of Singapore's trademark place?

This is the Parliament House of Singapore.

This is a court.. some court.. that court.. anyway, I like this ancient kind of buildings!

Follow the river and you will see bridges like this to cross over to Clarke Quay.

At the center of Clarke Quay is this water spraying.. fountain? nvm. Alot, really alot of people love to take *their* photo here.

These anicent shophouses have got the nostalgia feel and here you can see that its definitely not a shopping place.

wonder what this thingy with holes is.. but definitely not a octopus' tentacles.

A very cute shop.. I wonder how business is going here.

The sky is not very kind today and rained again ^^; have to run all the way back with my friend. Running with camera in a rain sucks, seriously.

Clarke Quay has alot of well designed floating restaurants and pubs, its a great place for night life. Oh, so thats why..

This is the central shopping mall. If you get here by MRT, you will come out from here. Central has some decent Japanese related stuff like supermarket, restaurants.. quite a place like Liang Court (full of Japanese thingy) which is over at Clarke Quay but the atmosphere is totally different.

Anyway, Liang Court got a cosplay event Kuro Bara on 28 March!

Every shopping mall is a maze - you might not go down from the same way where you go up. This is a advanced level, you even have bridges.

I finally found the sticky shop!! I was searching for it when I saw it on the newspaper but they didnt put where.. Sticky is a shop selling rock sliced candies and is here at B1 of central.

I got the cherry flavoured. Tastes awesome and I love the prints!

Are we allowed to take photos in the MRT?

My body is aching everywhere now lols - went to watch movie Suspect X (almost fell asleep!!) after the photoshoot (and running) at Clarke Quay. I tried to do another new stunt today and I failed, but I made an amazing discovery - time travelling caught in act!

I am going to steal daily dose of imagery idea of posting a photo a day. Like this I can see my own progress and dont you think that its kind of amazing to see how a person improves day by day?

I got a rough idea (really rough that it looks like crap lols) on how the aperture works and one BIG discovery today is that I finally found the focus ring! I always thought it was behind the zoom ring so I thought my lens dont have one (stupid). But I was anyhow turning things and I found it by accident, it was just right at the front of the zoom ring! ^^;

I got a SLR! I got a SLR! Oh god, oh god. How I wish I dont have to wait for the battery to be charged and start snapping right away! Guess who I got. Its that D90 that I fell in love at first sight when I saw it (the hot guy too) in the advertisement! Ask me why I got the Nikon D90 - I am digging my own grave ^^;

Just a few days ago, I was still going "Nikon? Canon? Nikon? Canon?" But due to the fact that my father was a Nikon man (he once took amazing photos but after the world war II... lols crap. After his kids childhood is over, he somehow stopped photography and now he dunno how to use a digital SLR, only the film ones. HAHAHA.) and I fell with love with the D90 at first sight, I made my decision. I am a Nikon girl~

My first time actually using a SLR is just a few hours ago where the shopkeeper let me see it lols. So now you can see how newbie is me. And thats why I am digging my own grave since the D90 is really really not for beginners. But I suddenly become very confident when the shopkeeper told my dad, "Aiyah, kids nowadays learn things verray fast lah. New handphone ah, just 两三下 (a while) gaotim (done) liao." And sadly, I fell into his trap and bought it.

I got the 18-55mm and 55-200mm lens since it comes with a very good bargain lols. And I think its good enough for me for now. I didnt get a flash yet (I dont really like flash) but D90 has got one on its own body so... =D I got a old tripod from dad; its silver colour man! (whats the big deal lols)

The DigiCabi dry cabinet that I got. (sorry about the weird angle, I was doing stunts)

I will write good things about D90 after I play with it (oh my weekend is going busy) and discover truly how newbie me is ^^; oh yah, need to try out the video too. Have lots of things to learn!

Lets treat this as my 10 years worth of birthday present since my dad and mum actually stopped buying us presents after our childhood is over too ^^;
