Studies in human psychology have shown that the way we carry ourselves is what decides our level of appeal to the opposite sex. A small poll of the fairer sex, conducted by a notable tech publishing company, has revealed that this applies to not just what we wear, but also what we carry.

For example, men with cool looking, wireless mice, designer sunglasses, and knowledge of the latest gadgets, are perceived as "sexier" than those who have wires dangling from their bags, have [...]

We now have a first glimpse at the direction Internet Explorer will take in its 9th iteration, and it's pretty much what you'd expect.

While Firefox, Chrome, and Safari are constantly trying to break barriers in JavaScript performance and rendering speed, and better support for standards, Microsoft is proud to say that IE9 will continue its long standing tradition of being the slowest browser around. They wouldn't want to deprive the web of a baseline for comparison, now would they?

Chrome OS has gone through a lot of criticism, both positive and negative, even while being a mere concept. Now it has finally been unveiled by Google, and it might just be a little different from what you expected. Although it does look like Chrome Browser version which leaked earlier.

Most important things first: no, there is no beta release, and Google Chrome OS will probably not be available from Google to install on your computer, at least not any time soon.

Chrome OS is des [...]

UPDATE: Google has added videos about several aspects of Chromium OS. You can find them at the end of the post.

All right, so TechCrunch was off about Google launching the much-hyped Chrome OS this week; but what Google has done is make the source code for it available for download to anyone interested. So basically, the people at Google and external coders can now work on the underlying operating system at the same time, said Sundar Pichai, Vice President of Product Managemen [...]

Despite Nokia's resolute commitment to the Symbain platform, it seems that Maemo might be the future operating for its N-Series.

In a Q&A with bloggers during the official N90 meet-up recently, it was revealed that by 2012 Maemo will replace Symbian in their N-Series mobiles. In a roundabout manner, Nokia has neither confirmed nor denied this.

While it is certainly less of a leap than an official Android-based Nokia phone, considering that both Maemo and Symbain are Nokia technologies, [...]

After Microsoft rolled out an update to its Xbox 360 dashboard yesterday to integrate Facebook, Twitter, Last.FM and Zune Video, Sony was not going to be left far behind. We have previously covered the expected launch and announcement of the firmware 3.10 update to the PS3, which was reported to bring Facebook integration to the console.

Sony has now made the update official, and it can be grabbed by connecting your PlayStation 3 to the Internet. As noted earlier, it will add a Facebo [...]

It seems that the success of the Windows 7 Beta has led Microsoft to believe that this is the perfect way to go forward with all new major software releases. We, for one, won’t be complaining as the company has just rolled out a free download of the beta version of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional.

The suite includes Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Access, InfoPath, Sharepoint Workspace, Communicator and Publisher.
Yesterday, TechCrunch shook up the Web with the news that Google might be coming out with its own branded, self-designed mobile phone after all. News that the fabled ‘Google Phone’ is real after all had criticisms and expectations pouring in from each side, with a lot of nay-sayers citing a CNET article where Google Android CEO Andy Rubin said the company is not making hardware.
