your should commit the modified files first, then use the below line to refresh your Gemfile.lock and then add & commit with git.

Browser Back / Forward button issues can fix by client side itself

Usually as a server side developer, we will solve this browser back / forward issue by writing server side script conditions. But we can fix it by client side itself.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when using the above method to force a browser to not cache a Web page:

* Pragma: no-cache prevents caching only when used over a secure connection. A Pragma: no-cache META tag is treated identically to Expires: -1 if used in a non-secure page. The page will be cached but marked as immediately expired.
* Cache-Control META HTTP-EQUIV tags are ignored and have no effect in Internet Explorer versions 4 or 5. ( No worries, hope all you know even IE6 itself dead i.e officially announced by MicroSoft )

when you do any operation under your subversioned directory like svn ls , svn log, svn up, svn switch, etc., for any operations it will ask you enter the svn new username and password.

Here is a simple method to compare two arrays using Ruby, few examples:

=> 0

> [1,2,3] <=> [3,2,3]

> [1,2,3] <=> [1,3,3]
=> -1
> [1,2,3] <=> [1,1,3]

By use of Terinary Operator (<=>), we can acheive the simple method to compare two arrays of comparison.

Watir - An Automated Testing Tool for Web Applications

Hi to All,

I like to share you a best testing tool for all web developers for their web applications. It is platform independent tool, you can test your application which was created with any programming language like PHP, RoR, J2EE, Dot Net, etc.,

Steps to Install and work with watir.

1. Download ruby and follow the installation instructions.

2. gem update --system.

3. gem install watir ( recent version of watir will automatically get install )

Note This gem will test the application with IE browser as default. If you want to check with FireFox browser then you should install "firewatir" and for chrome browser "chromewatir".

supporting gems will automatically get install, perhaps one of the significant gem to co-ordinate with windows api, you should install a gem called "windows-pr" i.e gem install windows-pr

This windows-pr gem will resolve the following error:
Ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/windows-pr-0.9.3/lib/windows/thread.rb:59: uninitialized constant Windows::API::Error (NameError)

Most of the programmer are not using the stored procedures in any of the technologies. But it has lot of benefits and advantages. If you are frequently doing a same functionality in server-side / client-side programming we are creating a function or method to optimize the code. similar like that, if you are going to use a query frequently on your app then you should use the stored procedure / functions in the backend thats on databases.

Here is the simple solution to solve this issue. This is kind of typo issue. IE doesnt accept to use white spaces on title in the window.open method.

India adds record 15.41 mobile million users in January

India, the world's fastest-expanding mobile market, added 15.41 million wireless users last month -- the biggest monthly growth ever, according to government data Saturday.

India's number of wireless subscribers grew by 15.41 million in January after swelling by 10.81 million in December.

January's increase was a record for monthly wireless subscriber growth, according to figures from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) posted on its website.

The total number of wireless connections stood in January at 362.30 million, up from 233.63 million in the same month a year earlier.

Combined with fixed line users, the country of 1.1 billion people now has over 400 million telephone connections.

As a Rails programmer, I have been using Prototype and Scriptaculous for over a year and a half, solely because it comes packages with Rails and has helpers. About 3 months ago, I discovered JQuery, which is another Javascript library that combines the powers of Prototype and Scriptaculous into one. JQuery is very easy to install for your web app and has a TON of cool things you can do with it.

In this article, I will show you how to create a simple slide show using JQuery and the jQuery Cycle Lite plugin.

To see an example of how the final results should work, go to http://wynn.reservationcounter.com. You can also download the example code I use here.

Step 1. Download the jQuery library

Go to http://www.jquery.com and download the production-ready minified library. The file that I used is jquery-1.2.6.js.

Step 2. Download the jQuery Cycle Lite plugin

This can be found with numerous examples of this incredible plugin at http://malsup.com/jquery/cycle/lite/. At the bottom of the page, you will see a link jQuery Cycle Lite Plugin - minified. Save the targeted javascript file as jquery.cycle.lite.plugin.js.

Step 3. Create the HTML page to bring it all together

Ok.. let’s explain what’s going on here in the HTML.

Lines 4-7 are the javascript includes for the two libraries we downloaded. Note that the query include comes before the plugin. This is important.

Lines 8-15 are where the magic happens. Here we use jQuery to perform the cycle function on the element with the ID of ’slideshow_images’ with the parameters found on lines 11-12. There are many options available, which can be found at plugin website.

Lines 19-25 contains the div with the ID that is referenced on line 10. Inside this are 5 images that are all the same height and width.

That’s it. It’s very simple, but looks great.. sexy even! Have fun with this one.

How to create a MySQL dump for multiple tables in a database?

Syntax:

mysqldump db_name tb_name1 tb_name2 ... tb_namen > file_name_to_save

Examples:

If you doesnt mentioned any name in tables option, you can dump entire database itself.
