First post of 2012! :o)

I am really, really excited for this year. In general, I've been going through a lot of changes since I turned 23 a few months ago. I've finally acquired that full confidence I had been lacking, and for the first time in almost a decade, I'm finally comfortable in my own skin. I'm done trying to prove my worth to everyone else and am doing things to find my own happiness. I only expect my progress to continue. I have a good feeling about 2012, I think it will be a great year!

Have a Fashionable Christmas!

Life has been so hectic! And with nearly nothing open on Christmas Day, what a better time to relax and take a breather!

Hope everyone's Christmas has been lovely--both in the priceless sense with spending time with loved ones and in the case of presents :o)

This was my first Christmas being single in 5 years so I thought it was logical that I simply buy myself Christmas gifts to compensate for it. I wiped out my wallet that day but I feel like it was well worth it. :o)

My Christmas presents to myself:

Jessica Simpson "Colie" heels in Violet Nubuck.

I don't really wear purple so what better way to introduce the color into my wardrobe!

Jessica Simpson "Cheetah" heels in Cranberry.

I bought these heels in "Sand Kid Suede" earlier last month and would love to collect them in every color!

Steve Madden "Felicite" heels in Black.

I wasn't sure about the contrast of the wooden heel but I asked for the opinion of several other shoppers around me and they liked it. Still, it's different and I can feel better about not buying another pair of plain black heels. Do you like the wooden heel?

Also, update:

I bought these Steve Madden "Roxxie" wedges earlier this month, have worn them multiple times and can now confirm that they are pretty comfortable. They normally last me at least 4 hours standing/walking around.

However, these Steve Madden "Pammyy" suede wedges aren't very comfortable for some reason. You would think the wedge almost guarantees more comfortableness. Also, the "Roxxiee" wedges by Steve Madden are really comfortable so I don't know why the "Pammyy" ones aren't. These last me about 2 hours as long as I'm not walking around too much.

Forgot to post these pictures so here they are, the last batch of summer pictures. Look how tan I was! :o)

I love Sauce clothing; they are always so fun and whimsical. Sauce is also a pretty popular brand among celebrities such as Vanessa Hudgens, Nicky Hilton, Megan Fox, and Anna Kournikova.

Here, what would have been plain white tee shirt was transformed with tab cap sleeves and the addition of the safety pins (one of their trademark additions).

Being single (and with not so many opportunities to mingle) these days provides me a lot of spare time on my hands to do things such as shopping. :o)

Here are some of my recent fabulous purchases!

I had been eyeing this ring for awhile; it had even been an Obsession item a few months back. Finally, it's all mine!

Cara Accessories "Critters Hummingbird Crystal Stretch Ring.

I saw this necklace in stores and tried it on, debating whether it was "too much." Statement rings are one thing, but statement necklaces are certainly another; something large that dangles in front of you is more noticeable than something large on your hand. However, after giving it some thought, I decided I liked its boldness. You will have to see for yourself when I wear it--it's 2" x 5.5" which is pretty big!

Cara Accessories "Peacock Long Statement Necklace."

I love skinny jeans, primarily to wear with boots (no other cut of jeans are easy to tuck into boots!), so I have a good amount of them. I didn't necessarily need another pair of skinny jeans, but these were my favorite wash (super dark) and I love the edginess of the studded waist.

7 for All Mankind "Gwenevere Skinny Jeans with Studded Waist."

I absolutely love these heels; I want them in basically every color! I don't know how much work/input Jessica Simpson actually puts into her items (likely not very much), but I am a huge fan of her shoes. This style, with its combination of shades, gives an innovative feel to the classic nude heel.

I was moping around yesterday and as soon as I laid my eyes on these beauties, life was good again. I'm in love with their absolute chic factor. Plus, the wedge heels makes them pretty comfortable to wear!

I also found that they come in other great colors (such as an amazing magenta, pretty purple, and lovely royal blue), as well as these fun prints!!

I also noticed that I use the word "love" to describe basically everything in this post. What can I say, I'm passionate about my shopping! :o)

It's been awhile since I've had one of these posts, but as soon as I saw the Sperry Top-Sider sale on HauteLook, I knew it was time for one of my Obsession posts. As HauteLook put it, "The iconic loafer gets a chic update." Well put!

Well I think of Sperry Top-Sider shoes, I think of their [famous] boat shoes. Personally, boat shoes aren't really my style; they're a little too low key casual for me. However, check out their more recent styles and tell me if you're not obsessed too!

Obsession of the Moment: Chic Sperry Top-Sider Shoes

Since I've worn the life out of my loyal Gola flats (last seen here), I've been on the lookout for a pair of cute, chic, and comfortable flats. These pairs of Sperry "Marin Slip On" seem like a great solution. They come in basic colors like the black or gray (as well as navy), but also have the chic snake print and fun flowers and stripes.

I absolutely absolutely absolutely want a pair of these amazing pumps--but the problem is, what color?? I want them all!

I run into the same color debate with the wedges as well. How amazing are the leopard print ones?? The tweed peep toe wedges are so chic, just as the black pair is an instant classic. Still, the colored ones are so fun, and the silver ones are gorgeous!

As the temperatures drop, it's clear summer has left us. I don't really mind the cold; it's the rain that I hate. I've told you that I'm not cut out for the Pacific Northwest! But either way, time for layering and long sleeves!

So for the second day in a row, I present to you my Erica Anenberg ring set again. I absolutely love the silver and gold combo; it makes it easy to mix and match my metals.

Anyone else have the habit of wearing things they love repeatedly?

These Plain Wrap (by Rock & Republic) are really fun. They add contemporary fun into the classic black heels with the label of "stiletto" on the side of the right heels (in case, you didn't realize what they were). Reality star Audriana Patridge has these same heels.

They only had these left in a size 7.5 and while I attempted to squeeze into them here, the heels (unfortunately for me) fit true to size. Luckily for anyone a size 7.5, I am selling them in my shop so be sure to check them out. I also have numerous other items for sale, many new or just worn once or twice! Come visit my shop! :o)

I'm not a huge charm fan, but I absolutely love this Juicy Couture "Summer Charm" necklace I received for my birthday last year. I suspect it's more because I like chains.

My skirt was gold and I wanted to wear gold jewelry to coordinate. However, because I'm so color coordinated, I hate that my silver watch doesn't match the rest of my jewelry. My solution is wearing my Erica Anenberg "Terrain Twosome" silver/gold ring set to help everything match.

Also, random fact, the double finger ring trend can be attributed to Erica Anenberg whose double finger rings were worn on a variety of celebrities who spread the craze to us.

There is a skate park in my area with the Washougal River behind it. While the skate park would probably make for neat pictures, the area by the river is absolutely stunning.

I felt like my tee was pretty appropriate for the scenery, makes me like I belong with the nature! I love the colorfulness of the shirt, and I love any shirts with amazing naturesque graphics.

I currently have Selena Gomez's "Love You Like a Love Song" stuck in my head. Okay, so she's a Disney star; I still love the song the same! You should listen to it, it's really catchy!

Yay, Pretty Little Liars is back on! I'm now watching the episode online, I'm sure it'll be a good one!

Two other shows I would recommend are The Lying Game and Revenge--for both great storylines and fashion!

The Lying Game is based on a series written by the author of Pretty Little Liars; so if you are a PLL fan, chances are you will also like The Lying Game. The Lying Game is about a pair of identical twins separated at birth. Sutton, adopted by a wealthy family and living a seemingly great life, and Emma, a foster kid with a rougher life, end up switching places in the process of finding the identity to their birth mother. As the title implies, everyone seems to be holding a secret. It's not as intense as Pretty Little Liars, but still contains substantial suspense and drama. Everyone also dresses fabulously.

Revenge is about a girl called Emily Thorne who is seemingly new in the Hamptons as far as everyone seems to know. However, she is simply returning with the intent to seek vengeance upon all the people who ruined her family and life as a child. Emily is both impressive and successful, and the show is gripping. The show takes place in the Hamptons and the fashion is evident of it. I just started watching this show, and Revenge is easily one of my new favorite shows.

Any shows with great fashion and drama you would recommend?

While I appreciate the graphic design of Ed Hardy, often times his stuff is a bit too much for me (I'm not big on skulls and the like). With the overexposure of Ed Hardy--primarily in the form of screen tees--thanks to the Jon guy from "Jon and Kate Plus 8" in addition to the "Jersey Shore" cast, Ed Hardy also quickly became a faux pas.

Thus, I'm not the biggest Ed Hardy fan. However, I do love my black Ed Hardy denim mini skirt (as seen in my last post), and I really like Christian Audigier's [non-sneaker] shoes.

A few pairs I have my eye on:

1. Herve Platform Pump, $66: Nothing says edgy like a pair of studded heels!
2. Haute Floral Heels, $70: I love the floral design.
3. Nye Pump, (from) $35: A glamorous pair of booties!
4. Batu Pump, $70: Love these! They also come in plaid colors.
5. Doheny Heels, $81: I absolutely love the color/design of the blue pair.
6. Madrid Heels, $40: These say "Let's get the party started!" The sequins are fun!

"Fading everything to black and blue."

A faux pas, as well as giant pet peeve of mine, is when bra straps stick out--particularly with tank tops. I find that most tank tops aren't cut straight in the back and are more or a less a racerback style which is a nuisance to wear bras normally; the straps always show.

Solutions:
1. Strapless/convertible bra; this convertible bra from Forever 21 is cute and an amazing deal!

2. A bandeau top (like I did; I actually combined it with a strapless bra since my tank top was cut deep).

3. Crossback bras also usually work well; these bras from the Victoria's Secret Pink Collection are my favorites and they're a bargain.

4. Using a convertible bra connector with a regular bra; I've also heard you can buy them a dollar stores.

I'm a bit OCD so when my bra straps are showing, I know I can't concentrate on doing anything else because I'll be so focused on trying to hide them every five seconds. Finding a solution to the nuisance is a really lot less time consuming!

"Ringer" is on tv tonight, yay! I love it, it's probably one of my new favorite shows. I was skeptical Sarah Michelle Gellar could be as good as she was in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," but she is amazing!

I'm starting to get into "Hart of Dixie"; I'm not a huge fan, but I think I'm starting to warm up to it. I also feel like one of the reason people might not like Zoe so much is because Rachel Bilson's character dresses so much more fabulously than everyone.

"Gossip Girl" was pretty good last night. I was really happy that Chuck got that dog, Monkey, because it's a reference to the book; although in the book, Chuck's character has an actual monkey. TV Chuck is really nothing like the Chuck in the books; I like him a lot better in the show. The show is hardly anything like the books and honestly, if I didn't like the show so much, I would be really mad it's so different.

Does anyone watch CW television shows as much as I do? I watch almost everything on that network.

While Gypsy 05 is likely more well known for their tie-dye/ombre maxi dresses popular amongst celebrities, their screen tees are also a hot commodity. I don't normally like tees that come with the "worn in" look, but Gypsy 05 tees are so comfortable that I don't mind. Inspired by Selena Gomez, I went for the Gypsy Eyezz tee (also worn by Vanessa Hudgens).

Sometimes I get really busy during the day and don't have time for pictures until the end of the day. It's a lot easier to get away with it during the summer when it's still light out late at night. In any case, I'm thankful for flash photography and some moonlight. :o)

I think I'm going to just have a fun month with screen tees! I love this Alex & Chloe one which says "I'm too sexy for my shirt" -- in French. I think the foreign language factor adds much coolness.

I'm not a huge fan of really tight jeans; however, I am absolutely in love with JET by John Eshaya jeans. JET jeans have a huge celebrity following and it's no surprise--despite being really fitted, they are absolutely comfortable!! Tight but breathable--it's like an oxymoron! They are a bit of an investment, but I completely recommend them! I love my pair of black Acid Wash jeans which is a pretty popular style, as seen on Nicky Hilton, Ashley Tisdale, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, and Khloe Kardashian.

"How great Thou Are."

Apparently, I am on a screen tee streak! I love this Kitson LA screen tee though. You can't tell in this picture but there are little embellishments that simply make this shirt--such as little rhinestones on the girls' jewelry. And how fashionable is the girl with the pink headband??

Today marks the 10th anniversary of September 11th. It is really crazy how fast time goes by. If anyone owns/subscribes/buys "Glamour," make sure you take a look of section in the magazine with the "Letters to the Lost" (pages 382-387); the letters are absolutely heart wrenching. For example, there was a letter from a girl who lost her fiance; it was so sad to read her retelling of having to call people to cancel things such as her wedding dress or honeymoon villa and tell people the reason why. Even if you are just by a magazine stand, just grab "Glamour" and flip through to the letters, they are worth the read.

I am someone who goes to YouTube often, and in fact, anytime someone posts any sort of video, I don't normally watch because I am too lazy to watch videos on my computer. However, this video is only about 3 minutes long and is worth your time. I cried after watching it.

We shall never forget.

Any other Juicy Couture fans out there? I am a huge Juicy Couture fan; I especially love their witty screen tees. I present you with another day of screen tees with positive messages! Today's message: "Be Juicy." (Feel free to go ahead and "couture yourself" while you're at it.) :o)

I hope you don't tire of my black outfits because I have a ton of them. I love monochromatic outfits, especially when it comes to black! I went for a black and white theme with this outfit but did venture out to silver with my Coach bag. Besides, black is a classic. I read somewhere that "anyone who ever tells you something is the new black is probably trying to sell you something." Seems pretty true! Black is timeless and versatile and will probably always be my go to color (or shade if we want to get technical!).

What is your stance on black? Is it also your go to color?

Does anyone have any "real" colors they always fall back on?

Sorry I've been gone for so long! I've been really busy, work had been stressful, and my boyfriend and I had broken up; in general, life had just been rough and I was taking a little break. But I'm back and better than before!

I'm turning twenty three this weekend and I'm ready to make good changes. It's time that I go after everything I want in life. Let the ambition restart! :o)

I went for a green and gold theme here. I had this Eighty Six skirt for awhile and had been dying to wear it; but sequin skirts--especially gold ones since the color makes it extra blingy--are kind of hard to pull off on a normal day. I paired gold skirt with my Juicy Couture screen tee since the gold lettering matched the skirt. Despite the fact the words are glittery, the screen tee adds casualness to the outfit. I added my gold rose ring for a little bit of statement, and anytime I wear dark green, I seem to always wear my Marc Jacobs owl earrings! Finally, to bring my outfit down a notch and prevent it from being over the top, I went with flats--dark green to match! :o)

Thus, when trying to wear something normally fancy/dressy for a normal day, dress it down with casual items such a screen tee and/or flats.

Also, advice of the day, as my shirt says, "Eat cake, wear Juicy Couture!" although not necessarily verbatim. (I, personally, am not a huge cake fan.) In a more general translation, eat what you want and dress fabulously! :o)

Have you seen the Pretty Little Liars season finale?? It was pretty good! And of course, expect Pretty Little Liars fashion inspirational pictures to follow later!

I know I fell off the face of the earth again...sorry! Life has been keeping me busy!

People's Liberation top. BCBG tank top. Heartloom skirt. House of Harlow ring. Calvin Klein heels.

I love this People's Liberation top, it is fun, versatile, and really comfortable--yay for easy cute things to throw on! I specifically chose it to go with the Heartloom skirt because balance is usually key. If my skirt is fitted, I try to make my top a little looser and vice versa; it helps make the outfit not be too much (when really fitted top to bottom) or not so flattering (with everything loose fitting).

The next episode of Pretty Little Liars is supposed to be fashion focused and I am so so excited! In general, I can't get enough of that show, it's really gripping--I mean, how psycho does "A" keep getting??

Most stylish funeral attendees I've ever seen (from the last episode)!

From the next episode's fashion show, they look amazing! Hanna's dress is super cute, Spencer's dress is super plunging, Emily's dress is a great color, and maybe if the nude part of Aria's dress was a different color, I'd like it.

Love these outfits, so summer glam!

We are reaching Hump Day, and I am thrilled it is finally the middle of the week.

I just figured out that you can change your Google Chrome theme and went with the Rebecca Taylor theme, and I have to say that I am getting pretty obsessed with it. I am loving using the internet simply so I can stare at the pretty flowered background. LOL. I think I am starting to like it more than the Louis Vuitton theme I used to have for my Firefox. In conclusion, if you are a Chrome user who has an appreciation for pretty things--especially flowery things--you should get the Rebecca Taylor theme too! :o)

It is midnight now, and I am absolutely exhausted which is rather weaksauce for me. I am quite the night owl so around 3 in the morning is usually when I start getting tired. But it's been a really busy week so far, and I've also gotten back into writer mode! I am actually taking a break from a new novel I just started writing to work on this blog post!

I have the most confidence when I am wearing a pair of really high heels. Still, sometimes, it is more about convenience. I am obsessed with Melissa flats, as I've mentioned in a few past posts. They are cute, trendy, eco-friendly, and most of all, comfortable!

I also love this C & C California ombre dress--I even have it in a pink version. :o)

Sorry for the delay in posts, I've been pretty busy! However, to make up for it, you have yourself an abundance of pictures! Enjoy! :o)

The boyfriend and I took a trip to the Japanese Gardens, and it was pretty fun. I have a really short attention span and had expected to be a bit bored (I mean, how long can you look at flowers for??), but it was really not as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was really pretty, and there was definitely a lot to look at.

There were these girls who were in the middle of the path trying to take pictures of something, and I guess they were mad because we accidentally blocked them. But they were pretty rude and were like, "It's so hard to take pictures when all these people keep stopping! But at least we're not taking pictures of each other"--while we were well within earshot.

And then the girl continued and said, "And heaven forbid people stop and talk too!" Seriously, I don't know if they were professional photographers or what, but they were at a tourist attraction so I don't know what they were expecting. Granted, they may have been frustrated that people were in their way of taking pictures, but you should certainly expect there to be a lot of people--especially talking and taking pictures at a tourist attaction--on a nice day.

Nonetheless, the boyfriend and I moved on. Though they were rude, I didn't want to be rude too, whether or not it was inadvertent.

Last time I wore this dress (seen here), I mentioned how I'm not a huge fan of the color. However, I absolutely love this dress. It's an easy throw on dress, and I love it for its simplicity. Additionally, I love the fleece material of the dress which makes it perfect for days like today where it was warm, but still pretty breezy. So when I got too warm, I could take off my jacket, but the dress kept me at a perfect temperature. :o)

I will try to blog more often; I know my average number of blog per week has gone down to about one. :o( I'll be working at my internship less (the number of interns in the office has grown greatly since school has ended, and my boss said she didn't want a zillion interns in the office all the time), but at the same time, I'm going to be working at my [day] job full-time. You win some, you lose some! Still, huge thanks to all my loyal followers! I appreciate you all greatly! :o)

Speaking of which, I chose both a Blogger of the Week (awarded to someone who left me a sweet comment) and a Look of the Week too, awarding it to a fabulous blogger who does simple chic like no other. My Marc Jacobs cardigan from the last post sold quickly! I also sold several other items so keep visiting my shop and let me know right away if there's anything you're interested in! I'll be adding new items by the end of the week! Honestly, a lot of items I wear once for this blog and don't get around to wearing again. As they say, my loss [can be] your gain!

Hope everyone has a good rest of their weekend! I am loving the nice weather the Pacific Northwest is currently gifting us! :o) I'll be headed to a wedding tomorrow! You can expect that I'll be wearing a cute floral dress and flats (because unfortunately, heels wouldn't be good for that particular outdoor place)! Who knows, maybe I'll catch the bouquet?? (But maybe not, it might be scary!)

What can I say, Marc Jacobs excites me! :o)

I love Marc Jacobs, hands down. He is one of my--if not very--favorite designers. If I could [afford to] dress in Marc Jacobs head to toe everyday, you can bet that I would!

I also really like his heart print stuff; they're so whimsical and fun. :o) (See here for another heart print Marc item.)

I specifically chose this ring because the pearl on the ring would match the pearl buttons on the sweater. I am all about coordination!
