I have said that 4G is a technology that will for ever be an evolution in progress. Their are many facets that make up the complexity of what makes it tick. Such as rules and regulations, bandwidth, spectrum, frequency. So when the FCC does it's best to keep the playing field level, they often, and most of the time do what they do with the consumer in mind.

Now when the FCC made room for wireless via the 700 MHz TV band, they new this would advance this space in the best possible path for innovation. What they also did here was give this resource, over 200MHz of the 700MHz band to us, the consumers, as license free "tvws".

The 700 MHz band has been coined as the water front spectrum "sweet spot". If the FCC had not deregulated the phone company, or had not made 2.4 GHz license free, there would be no cell phones, or wireless at all. So we can all thank the FCC for that.

2.4GHz "wifi" was considered a trash band, no one expected this to be of any use, as microwave's, garage door opener's, cordless phones all used this frequency, as it is license free. These things were around before wifi. I think we can all agree that wifi works quite well considering it is everywhere. The 700 MHz has been called super wifi. This in not wifi. This will be much better then wifi.

There are a couple of carrier's that did not want to see the FCC make available this valuable water front spectrum that they paid 20 Billion to obtain. Again they, the FCC is looking at tomorrow, and making sure these technology's can co-exist, and the consumer can end up being the beneficiary's of this invisible real estate. And this band, 700 MHz "tvws" is not a trash band.

What device maker will be bold enough to integrate the white space band in tomorrow's device? Let me say this, the one, or one's that do see what tomorrow's 4G looks like, will certainly have the upper hand. Spectrum is scarce, and it would seem like any of it, license or license free would be a large plus for device makers, carrier's, and end user's. Cell phones have five or six radios in them now, so adding one more is no big thing, it may ad under five dollars to the price of the device. One thing for sure, it is time for the integration to begin, and for them to get this on their road map for tomorrow.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

Sprint may have made a bad decision with the way they make press. With the announcement they were dropping wimax by 2012, in favor of an LTE initiative. Wrong press wrong timing. This did neither Sprint, nor Clear any forward positive news for their 4G plans.

It cost them their credit rating, and made a poor case for getting investors on board, as well as show investors they are making bad decision's, and don't really have a grip on tomorrow.

It disrupted Clear in a negative light, at the same time did nothing to help the Sprint 4G path. Harmony is what investors like to see. A real partnership, with positive press. Sprint is on track to disrupt 4G once again. With the LightSquared, Clear, Sprint partnership, they will have every square inch of the US covered with broadband via the lightSquared satellite LTE band. That fixes the last mile, and puts rural on the 4G path as well.

Since my last article The 4G Evolution Revolution that I wrote right after the press of Sprint moving beyond wimax, and leaving Clear to fend for themselves, or that was how the press looked at it. I tried to relax the situation with my take on things. For this to make more since, please check out the link above.

Well since my article two weeks ago there is a different tune. Not only is sprint keeping wimax in for the next three years or so, they announced their plans for advanced LTE. They now know why they can not live without Clear. Here is why. Sprint will be using FDD LTE, the same as AT&T, and Verizon, Clear will be using TDD LTE, that no other carrier will be using here in the US, or not at the moment. The Clear flavor of LTE is being implemented by many other countries including China. And since Clear has the Lyons share of spectrum,Sprint know's they need this for their advanced to work as it should. This is the first sign that communications will become global in devices equipped with both flavors of LTE. Does this give Sprint an impressive edge, to have a device that can hand off to both technology's. And have redundancy with many advanced wireless technology's. I think so.

Clear started this whole wireless trendy global data echo space, And I do feel they will also finish it. Clear may well become the back bone to all LTE providers here in the US. As a engine that provides capacity, bandwidth, backhaul that lessons the strain that networks will be under from the growing demand. I think investors need to educate themselves, and truly take a look at what this means for tomorrow. This should be the fastest network in the US, by no less than 5X, up to 10X. Then we will all enjoy what 4G really means, as this unlocks the door to apps that are bandwidth hungry, that will make the speeds of today seem like dial up.

Here are some things that helped the case for clear. Their agreement with China to build devices in the TD LTE space. Clear in talks with metro pcs to provide capacity. Sprint sees this China agreement as real potential to add advanced features to LTE advanced. To make , and help bring tomorrows technology to the globe, where their are two flavors of LTE.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding
of the tomorrow technology that was designed for them, to make their life easier, less

SO Sprint decides to go in the direction of LTE, I reported in a past article to expect some news from Sprint. Then just last week they "Sprint" says it will not be embedding, supporting wimax in their devices in 2012, or Clear for that matter.

Now I wouldn't read in to that to much. What I got from that press was this. They are not supporting wimax any longer, LTE is another entity. So after Sprint reported an LTE path, I also reported that Clear would be making some big news, So right after Sprint came out in favor of LTE, Clear shares some spot light with their new LTE path.

I also read some press about Sprint devices embedded with both TD and FD LTE here is the link C/NET. Now to me, that says Sprint and Clear are moving away from wimax. They are certainly not washing their hands of Clear. If Sprint has learned anything, they know the value of that spectrum and the future of true 4G speed is in that massive 2.5 GHZ pipe. They also know the value of being able to utilize that network with their own to offload data and keep their network flowing, they learned that from watching what happened to AT&T, and their network not ready for prime time. It took a nose dive from the introduction

of the iphone and all that data flow crashing, or crushing their legacy voice gear.

Sprint is just ready to go forward, And their saying get on the LTE train, or get left behind. Now I also wrote an article last year about how Clear should have made this decision back then, but because of the Sprint ties, and an in place echo space that needed no disruption, they waited, and that cost them an LTE run away that's put them in a last place position. There are many reasons for this, and it's all corporate. There are also many other investors, lets just say, they did not want to upset the apple cart.

If Sprint really wants to make some 4G news, try offering a 4G only plan on your wimax embedded devices for $45 a month. Lets see your paying Clear $10.00. so $35.00 profit, and you didn't even have to build the network. You might just get the attention of investors, and you and Clear will be off and running with the fastest LTE available.

WOW and then after the news of Sprint treating Clear like a red headed step child with no more wimax, Clear is in talks PCS, which is Sprint, and Verizon. this brings us back to all that spectrum. There are so many ways Clear can contribute in this space, by providing an off load port for all the telecoms, or being the backhaul to devices. And it's not even dependent on clear being built all the way out.

This is how I see this morphing in to an awesome path. If Sprint starts to build out their LTE, while Clear continues to get their truck roll on, they would be building at twice the speed. Now, if these devices are on either a TD or FD LTE network, this is some common ground, at some point their paths meet, and bam, they have not only caught up but have passed the competition, as this is the realm of true 4G. And if the goal was to build out advanced LTE, the fat lady will have sung.

It looks to me like all the carriers are going to find a way to access the Clear spectrum, Clear may well become an integral part of all things 4G, on all devices before this is over.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

We are behind in all aspects of learning. 14th in reading, 17th in science, 25th in math. This study from 35 developed nations. I am writing this as NBC is broadcasting their 2011 education nation conference this week. I wrote this blog in March 09. Opening the flood gates with broadband in education.

One of the biggest problems is tenure. Some of these teachers are not ready for the classroom of tomorrow.

The teachers of tomorrow will be younger with IT skills, Ip, marketing, and ultra computer literate. The same reason we are behind in technology, 17 th in the world of broadband, is the same reason we are behind in education.

What ever the reason for the lack of smarts these administrators have about how best to educate, this is much easier than they are making this process to move us forward and bringing technology in the class.

One thing our students have is computer, and social networking skills. This is what they know, and like, so build around that.

Facebook has created an education platform, these schools need to be using it. Every school needs a page, every classroom in that school, and every student should be utilizing this social platform for it's intended use. Let these students and teachers build on this, and make their class the best it can be. Some teachers may want to broadcast live to other schools or classrooms via livestream, or ustream. Let the students push out the video to other classes, you will find out what is and is not working through the social aspect.

This is so simple, find a class, lets say a science class anywhere USA, that is excelling for what ever reason. maybe the teacher's personality, broadcast this teacher to classrooms around the US, and see what students are saying about it. The students will grade their curriculum, not the administrators. And now you know what is working. Students and classes can interact with this, by Q/A.

It's time to get technology in the hands to those that already have a grip on it. Trust me school's will have a new path that students will rally around. So broadband is the key to this becoming the fix for education. Not new books, or it's not in our budget. Put this in the budget, or our students will forever loose the future.

I think that schools should have been first with this technology. As they the students are our future. Students are incredibly computer literate, it's time that the class gets caught up.

This is also where public safety can benefit. Schools are always used for shelters during times of disaster.

This is another good reason for broadband in schools. If a disaster hit a community, and communication was down, from wired infrastructure, the schools can open their network to the public, for emergency use.

I think the Sprint strategy update on OCT 7th will reveal some sort of highbrid 4G solution, where lightSquared will be utilized for rural, or last mile infrastructure, as well as low priority data. Clear will stay as their main 4G player.

Satellite communications, that LightSquared has access to is great for last mile, and low priority data. But latency is not going to be a big part of 4G. And satellite is to latent for communications, voice or video, gaming where you and your peers are playing, will be non user friendly.

However, here is another way this can be utilized. Since Clear is not mobile on the road from one town to another, as your out of the outer edges of your 4G market with Clear, satellite may be the only way to make this work throughout the US. As your roaming, and your wireless 4g is lost on the open road, your device may hand off to satellite via LightSquared.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

I also reported that news would be coming from the Clear camp as well in this article:

"Sprint Clear ready set go:is LTE on the horizon"

Clear just made their announcement to go with this 4GX2 path, Wimax / LTE. I feel they should have made this decision six months ago, as this would have been a good move for new investment opportunity's. Clear needs to drive their technology in some new directions, break new ground. Wireless security, portable security, mobile security, now their is a direction to innovate in. I have tested such a device, and with outstanding results. Using a Lorex IP wireless camera, a Clear desk top modem, a netgear N router, and a Tekkeon lipo smart battery, This thing performed well, and for around 14 hours. Their are many directions to work with such a new technology. I'm not sure if their Clear spot will work with a wireless camera, but if it don't, I would get to work on that.

I am not just all pro Sprint, or Clear, other camps just make no positive news. Verizon is number one for a reason, they have an out standing network, and with the first to LTE, they are likely to stay on top for a good while.

I just feel that Sprint has a grip on 4G, and knows what the consumer demands. The decisions they make today will be tomorrows future superior network. Demand for bandwidth is increasing by the minute, and they are laying the ground work some super speed data. Just don't expect over night the 4G fairy to wave a magical wand and poof. But with the news of Sprint, LightSquared, and Clear getting on the LTE path almost in sync, this is the making of even bigger news in the coming weeks.

We must not try to understand the relationship between Sprint and Clear, this could make your brain hurt. Just know this, Clear is making decisions based on what sprint is dong. They are more on the same page than not. And when I am mentioning Sprint, I am also making reference to Clear. When I say they, Sprint has more spectrum than any other carrier, of course I mean the vast reserves of Clear, that Sprint has 54% interest in.

I can not begin to tell you how important clear is to the 4G echo space, I feel that if Clear had not had this vision to bring us wireless data on the fly, would we have 4G at all.

First off I will ad, I am not paid by Sprint, Also not a PR guy, and in no way paid be any carriers in the wireless 4G space.

Now I have always liked the under dog, in this case we will call Sprint. As the number three carrier. Sprint made some risky moves, but clearly looked the future right in the face. And understood what was going to matter for a new technology to take shape. And all data mobile networks, are a new technology, known as 4G. Now this new technology gives you , for the first time, no limits, and plenty of choices. I't also gives you your network on the go.

Lets look at this always with you network. This is why 4G is your G. Sprint gave you for the first time, the ability to take your network everywhere you go. You are able to save money, by not needing a second network for home use. Just like the days of cellular phones, and free long distant calls. People decided they no longer needed a home phone to. This is a trend that is going on now, with 4G, and only sprint gives you this on the fly ability, with no limits, or caped data. So the consumer can get a device from Sprint, that is hot spot ready, remove their home network, or wired, or wireless, and start saving that day, between 30 and 50 dollars a month. And that is 4G at work.

Sprint is defining this 4G trend because they can. Those decisions they made when it mattered, gave them the upper hand, and gave them bragging right's to first to 4G. We are in a process of weening our selves from 3G over to 4G, and this is going a little slow. 3g will have to be in the mix for a good while. But if I had to choose today who is 4G, then you know my answer. This un caped data is going to be the problem for the other teams, or carriers. So Sprint is defining this space. They are still in the lead, with subscribers on a 4G network, their are more devices for their network to access 4G, with more on the way.

So LTE may be a bit faster than what sprint has been running with, Wimax is already a 10 year old technology, and Sprint has many more options than the other carriers. Sprint has 6X the spectrum as the number 1 and 2 carriers do, and this is going to matter, other mobile data networks will have issues with traffic congestion. They will be using two technologies, one 3G, and one 4G. Sprint will be running two 3G and two 4G technologies, with about 120 more Mhz of spectrum per market. And with the growth of wireless to continue doubling year after year, that 120 Mhz is going to matter. So sprint has made the right decision's to move this technology right into your hands.

So the under dog is setting the bar for 4G, and making this competitive, and that has always been good news for the consumer.

I do have a little rant for the Sprint camp though. You are certainly in the driver seat here, and I am a little concerned about this charging for the hot spot feature on this Nexus S 4G. Here is a quote from Chris Parsons, a blog from Androidcentral

"The fact they are charging for something that is included directly in the firmware always raises some eyebrows and quite often leads to folks looking for workarounds to access stuff for free and really, you already are paying for the data. Carriers’ charging for this feature is often looked at like they are charging you twice for something you already have".

Check out the link to Androidcentral for the full article. Sprint you are going to have to keep the others carriers guessing, and try not to find ways to charge the consumer for features that are part of their device. And stay in the lead, define the space you already own. Sell more devices, become no# 1. You have the keys, now open this space.

They make tomorrow look good for us all. I am going to reveal how easy their convergence will be to enter the LTE space, they can change technology mid stream.

Beceem is now shipping their BCS500 chips which are Wimax, and LTE, along with about six or more radios, including CDMA, EV-DO, wifi, blue tooth 3.0, GPS. These chips will hand off seamlessly between Wimax and LTE.

This is their easiest path to the LTE space. This is the only path, that if a decision had to be made today by the Sprint camps, would be the only logical forward path to take. It is much easier to start seeding the device market with devices embedded with this BCS500 chip. Than any other solution they might have. Once they have the device side in check, deploying LTE is a snap. It's a seamless non disruptive way to implement a new technology and not touch the other, until it's time to migrate to an all LTE infrastructure, and because they already have 1/3 of the us covered by wimax, it is the right way to go here. They literally can change out a city from wimax and go with LTE light it up, change over with the flick of a switch, out with the old in with the new. The devices see it, hand off to it. It just don't get any easier than that.

4G is the non proprietary technology . It's not specific to any one carrier. This is an important time for 4g, and all this ads up to more good news for consumers. This means more devices, lower prices today, and practically free tomorrow.

This is also where 4G is suppose to be taking us. This chip is where you the consumer start to get choices.

As these chips will be embedded in all the carrier devices, you will be able to buy a device, and go with what ever carrier you choose. Sprint, AT&T, Verizon, the companies that offer LTE. Of course Sprint needs this more than any other carrier, because they have more wireless technology than all the carriers combined. Sprint will have two 4G technologies, and they need this more than any other carrier to move forward and compete.

And this is why I think we will be hearing from Sprint very soon on their 4G plans. They sometimes don't like to reveal to much, especially when this is going to be an easy direction. But the carriers know what is happening with devices. This should also change the direction of Clear, as they are the largest wholesaler for Sprint, and they need to have their devices embedded with this BCS500 chip as well to stay competitive. So a win win scenario is in the making, and Sprint again comes out the winner. I have often said Sprint is the driving force behind 4G, and they are certainly in the driver seat.

They really just need to let technology catch up to their way of thinking. This could not be any better news for Sprint, or Clear. Not good news for the other carriers. As this will put sprint in the, we have 4GX2 space. And by 6X the spectrum. No matter what the press thinks. Sprint has this 4G thing on the right road. And the winners will be you the consumer. And 4G over all moves in a fast forward mode.

And remember that 4G is not just about speed.. It's about new ways of thinking, all things mobile, and concepts that are still being developed, and to take us in new directions with all our communications, but most of all

to give us choices to how we choose to use this technology, and to take the monopoly out of the game.

The day after that news from clear outsourcing their 4G management, came some press about clear perhaps laying the ground work for some even bigger news, about their plans to rethink their path to LTE.

They fell short on pushing that news out as a for sure decision, But really lets look at this a little closer. Sprint has also outsourced their network management to Ericsson's as well, and they are in the business of advanced technologies, and Sprint has many to work with. The device side needs no help, it's ready when the back end falls in place. If LTE and wimax where able to co-exist today, their press would have already taken place at the Clear camps.

Wimax 2, or 802-16m was just to little to late, we may not see this technology here, but wait, we may, this is why they are taking this hold on for a minute approach. If LTE and Wimax can find this co-exist sweet spot, then the news will be that technology. Now if wimax 2 comes along and can work alongside, or co-exist with LTE, well lets just say look out world. the former number three, will look more like the new number one from where I'm sitting. And we know that Clear can blast out some bandwidth with that massive amount of spectrum. They do need to try to converge, and not upset the echo space.

Their is some news in the making here. They are going to have to take some action, as technology will not wait for them. They do need technology to move in their favor though. They simply can not just switch to another 4G technology in mid stream. We have had many talks on here about the day LTE and wimax converged, or co exist, and that day is coming soon, and that is what Sprint is hoping for. I am looking forward to this day as well. That will be the ultimate 4G play. And move Sprint in the driver seat to the fastest wireless speeds available for years to come.

I will also ad this, The other camps, the ones that bought the 700MHz. They have about 20MHz for their 4G. and clear will have a whopping 140MHz, able to run with 20MHz channels at 2.5GHz, this XXL data pipe will be tough to beat, running with an LTE path. I know their is a trade off here with propagation, I say so what. In the end bandwidth is all that matters to the end user. The best devices, running the best apps, will need the fastest network, and that network will be Sprint / Clear.

Here is an update to that article above
They can change technology mid stream if they so choose to. I am learning that these new devices are going to be embedded with many radios in their structure Wimax, LTE, EV-DO wifi, CDMA, and FM.blue tooth 3.0 GPS.
These radios will be able to hand off between wimax and LTE, So if they can seed the market with these devices, in a few months they can start their build of an all LTE path. That can roam between wimax and LTE. This is the best move forward for sprint, if they had to make a decision today, this is the only path available that makes perfect sense. And the most economical choice available.
And as penetration of these devices really starts to gain momentum, it changes all things in it's path. Google last year changed their mantra to "mobile first", and that should be enough to show where we are headed, and fast.

If you want to stay in the lead, follow the leader. We are currently at about 36% of mobiles in the US that are smart phones, and that number is changing by the minute. Every time their is a new report on that percentage of smart phones changing, Google has new numbers as to how search is changing. More and more people are searching from their mobile, for things in their local market.

Carriers are also seeing this, and wonder if their capacity will suffice. Clear just handed off their 4G management to Ericsson, and they are leaders in their field,
Sprint has also let Ericsson manage their network. As these phones are starting to penetrate in every way, the networks are feeling the strain, on their ability to serve up the kind of speed needed to maintain a happy consumer experience.

After Clear made the announcement last week to outsource their 4G management to Ericsson, this press from camp clear,

Clearwire COO sees LTE switch on horizon, but details cloudy
And this news today from fierce Wireless,

FCC to consider proposal that could boost Clearwire network speeds

I do see team Sprint Clear laying the ground work for some big news here.

20 MHz channels at 2.5 GHz going forward with an LTE path.. WOW that is one large piece of data pipe.

Sprint does have some serious integration, and migration work ahead of them.

They are working with bands in the 800MHz, 1.9GHz, 2.5GHz, CDMA, WIMAX, LTE, well I for one am glad I don't have the headache of trying to come up with a solution that works with their devices as well. However they do have masters of the trade at the helm with Ericsson.

When Clear is ready to make a final announcement on their technology of choice, that I think will be some sort of combo play, as they will need to migrate from one technology to another, they will find it much easier to acquire funding moving forward.

Their are test going on in Malaysia where they are trying to come up with a solution that is a combo of the two Wimax and LTE, but from what I'm understanding, non simultaneously at the moment.

Sprint is using equipment that will allow them to go with any technology they choose, and that's good, as they are rich with many.

I do think we will see some news on this front soon, as technology waits for no one. Never count sprint or Clear as out of the game, they are just getting started

The LTE camps currently only have 20MHz for their 4G. Lets take a look at what 4G is up to now. Sprint has a lot of tough decisions with their network, with all that re provisioning of spectrum, and what technology to move forward with. I think they are on a path that will move them in an in front position, where they are able to upgrade with minimal amount of truck roll.

Now lets look at something that is really interesting to me. This Skype, Google, facebook bidding war. Before we get to far here, I made a prediction that facebook would integrate a video chat feature in their platform in Jan, and here is the blog tittled "What Is 4G". This is an interesting read, where I was trying to make the consumer more aware of what this 4G means, as their is some confusion on their part.

Now I do hope the voice carriers are fully aware of what this means. 4G is on this path of bringing down the voice that made these carriers billions. What we have learned here is this. Google is in the 4G space. And with recent news about the Sprint Google integration of google voice in this Nexus S 4G phone, we are moving away from this voice monopoly with some serious speed.

Now enter facebook wanting to integrate Skype in their platform, their is no question this is 4G again at work here. Of course this is also an explosion of smart phones blasting their way in the hands of consumers.

I can remember the days of CB radios, we had what was called a handle, aka, your radio name, mine was "Albatross", Their is a reason I'm bringing this up.
And Skype is this reason. And here is an old saying, "what is old is new again", I think that's how it goes.

Now as we move away from voice, we also discard numbers, no need for numbers. Now if facebook integrates Skype in their platform, we return to the days of handles, just like the days of the CB radio. What I'm eluding to here is how our choices will be changing soon. As Google, and facebook will be a dominant force in the communications space. Or the new and improved phone company that is free. Just a 4G wireless plan.

How this will look on facebook. First this makes the fb user keep their fb connection hot full time, and gives them options they have never had. live webinar's, live chat on your page, live news reports from around the globe, video, or audio chat, recorded messaging, text, and a text chat. leave your friends a recorded massage. it is truly endless possibilities.

I'm not sure what Google is doing, other than trying to keep the competition at a minimum, since this could really super charge facebook, as if they were not already. But since facebook has nearly 600 million users, they have a clear edge in the phone business, it's OK google they will be doing this through your android platform.

Friends, this is 4G, and the disruption continues. The voice carriers will be OK, they become 4G wireless providers. But their voice days are numbered. As google and facebook become the communications of tomorrow.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

expensive for all their communications needs, through any means that the Internet has to offer.

Google Voice is your friend

As a person that has been involved with 4G technology on the mobility side of things. And a member of wimax 360 since 07, I have seen this technology mature, and like to think of myself as an innovator for this space.

I wrote about this space becoming an advertising giant where mobility is concerned in early 08. That day is here. And i have billed myself as the consumer's friend. So what I'm going to share with you today is a totally free way to end something before it can get out of hand. I know the mobile advertising space will not like this, this blog is not for them. So lets get started.

If you have not heard of Google voice, we will try to help you out. This free service is googles way to help the consumer out as well. and it has many features. One such feature is a phone number you can take with you forever, even if you want to change carriers.

But rather than go into all the features, for today i will explain what I'm wanting to help you with.

Advertisers are getting creative with their way of getting your phone number. So when you post your phone number to a social network, you run the risk of having these advertisers hammering you with sms, and it is fixing to explode, and I'm going to give you a work around, so these sms messages don't blow your mobile phone up.

Now when you post your phone number anywhere on the Internet, your at risk. Here is the fix. Get google voice. Take that phone number and use it everywhere you want on the web. Give your friends and family your real mobile number.

Go into settings on the google voice page once you have it. And set the sms feature to not forward. Now when your called from your google voice number, the sms will not be seen by you. On your real phone number, the one assigned to your mobile, your friends and family can still sms you any time. That's it.

Here is the link to the 10 short videos from google, that explains all the great features google voice has to offer.

Friends I cant tell how important this is to help spread the word on this. I just know this is going to be the best way to stop this before it can get out of hand.
Now unless you want your phone to explode with unwanted sms, Google has made this an easy fix.

Even if you don't want google for this reason, there are about 20 more reasons why you will find you cant live without this free wonderful service that google is giving you at no charge.
Leave a comment, tell us if you are starting to receive
these unsolicited SMS messages. It will start to wear you out.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I'm Kobe from Airmaxed, the consumers friend.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

And was their any question that sprint would let their Clear initiative fall flat. First off, they, Sprint has this echo space with devices makers, and millions of devices embedded with wimax, you don't just up and decide one day to drop what was the first 4G network ever. And let that billions already invested go to waste.

I need to re visit the fact that 802-16M has been approved by the IEEE just in the last two weeks or so. Now for those of you that are Clear subscribers, look on your box your modem came in, it says it is wimax 2 ready. And this is really going to be fast, 300mbps fixed, and 100mbps mobile. The IEEE said this is one of two technologies that is true 4G. the other is LTE, and with all the spectrum that team clear has, this is going to blow the sox off of LTE. And this is what makes AT&T nervous. It is also backwards compatible, with devices.

So be on the look out for some news to break very shortly about Clear finishing it's network with the M+2 equipment. So when 4G got it's truck roll on, there were limited devices to access the network, a desk top modem, and a dongle.
Today their are many devices. It was a tough sell, to spend billions building out the 4G network with limited devices. Now that we have matured a little, and devices are introduced on a daily basis, 4G is ready to rock and roll.

And with Sprint letting the world know, wimax is their technology, with this recent news of their one billion injection in their Clear brand. I think they pretty much solidified that wimax is here, and alive.

You need to keep your eye on Sprint, they are certainly going to make things interesting in the 4G space. I would not be surprised if google don't throw some funding in the pot. Google also has a 500 million investment in clear. So don't count Clear as out, or broke, we are just getting started with team go fast, faster, fastest.

The press needs to lay down for minute, and talk about the stuff that matters. I love the Internet for many reasons, their will be a record of the press, where they called sprint out, or a distant third. Sprint is getting tomorrow here fast with 4G. And is getting us to the 4G sweet spot. Consumers may still not know what all this means for them, but trust me, it is a very good thing.
This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding

And when a technology is in so many ways a disruption to so many industries, take advertising for example.
Advertising is finding it's way right to the consumer, through mobile phones.
Less is spent on TV, radio, print, billboards and is flowing right to the source.

Entertainment is another, with so much content on the Internet, local radio, and TV, are now finding it a tough sell, for listeners, and advertisers, their is just to much out their to do. I have written a blog in 08 about how this technology would one day cause problems for SAT radio SIRIUS XM, Before phones even had this capability. They cannot say they where not warned of this day.

When a technology becomes disruptive within it's own confines, that's when you know we have arrived.

I have written about 4G not just being about speed. It's about a path to take us to this place where we are free to do what we want, how we want, to communicate through data, and to be weened off of the legacy of 3G voice networks. Through your own apps, whether it's a video call, or voice call, text, or chat, or even a recorded message.

Now with your Internet in your pocket full time, "on the fly" we are coming to this place where we no longer need a fixed service for the home, that's just another expense, and you can thank 4G for that. With devices getting so advanced, and processor speed improvements, and with their hot spot readiness, being fixed to the home Internet is just about over. So the home desk top modems days are numbered. Their will still be a need for them, for some back haul, to business, maby for a wireless surveillance security type of play.

But as we move away from 3G to 4G, we can all expect this disruption scenario is nothing but good for us all. And in time once we have moved to all data networks, the cost to us all will be much less of an expense. You will not hear you must take voice with your data. 4G is only data. Do what you want with it.

The last word on disruption, Sprint and google, are moving forward, making it good for consumers, and leaving the competition in the dust. You just have to understand, Sprint, Google, Clear are making the way for this to evolve, and the competition must now conform, or be left behind.
This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding
of the tomorrow technology that was designed for them, to make their life easier, less
expensive for all their communications needs, through any means that the Internet has to offer.

This Is 4G: Sprint, Google, Clear, This Is 4G

This Is 4G: Sprint, Google, Clear, This Is 4G: "It looks as though 4G is breaking out of it's box. With all the news in the last two weeks, let me try to drill down on what all this means. We had Sprint talking to T-Mobile about a possible merger or buyout. This was big news, and I posted a blog tittled "Sprint T-Mobile the super network" I posted this on 3-15-2011 after the news broke about this press release. Basically I wrote how the number 3 Sprint, and the number 4 T-Mobile would become the number one network.

And out of nowhere, without one ounce of press, on 3-20-11 a press release about AT&T / T-Mobile buyout. This was an interesting development.
Now why did this happen.? Here's what I think. AT&T first off could not let this Sprint / T-Mobile merger take place, I can't help but to feel that AT&T is threatened by Sprint.

The press is writing that Sprint will be in a distant 3RD where carriers are concerned. There are two ways of looking at this. It really depends on, how you define 3RD. They , the press is counting subscribers, and I say that's fair. But lets look at what is really going to matter as these technologies move forward.
Sprint has more spectrum than any carrier, and in the long run, this makes them number one, and time will prove this point. They are only using a small portion of their available spectrum.

And I will push this point again. AT&T could not sit back and let sprint gain even more of this valuable asset. When they, AT&T has a major deficit in this
department. As these technologies are growing, or doubling every year, stressing these networks, crashing some. Bandwidth is a big concern. So he who has the bandwidth, in the end, wins.

Lets move on to some even more interesting news. As AT&T was getting their press on, Sprint and Google was getting their press ready. And this is big news to me, as this is going to define the 4G space. I posted another blog tittled
"Google Look Here" on December 15th 2010, Please read this blog, as this will make more since. Where I was speaking to google about building a device for the 4G network, that is Clear, which the majority owner is Sprint. I was telling them they need to build this device, and this would make them the king of 4G, since they are already in the handset market.
In this blog I explained that this would be a perfect platform for their Gmail integration with Google Voice app, and their Android operating system.
And how this would be the device that would change all things 4G, and how they,Google would become the king of 4G, and become this massive phone company. and all they needed was this device. Without having to build the first tower. And since they are a partner of the Clear brand. This should not be a problem.

Here is the press from Sprint and Google, on 3-21-2011, that's one day after the AT&T / T-Mobile buyout. "Sprint Samsung Introduce Nexus S 4G" To be released in the spring. I can't help but think this was in response to the AT&T news. Tit for Tat if you will.
And Google and Sprint has integrated within the phone and sprint's network, Google voice in this powerful Android device.
For those that follow the wireless space, in 2009 AT&T Kinda kicked Google Voice to the curb, and off their network. And this caused an FCC query as to why they would have made this decision. AT&T also sees this app as a threat. And they should.

Sprint bought in the 4G space for a reason, and they are leading the way, and this is going to shape, and change 4G in the best possible way. The press can call Sprint a distant number three today, but tomorrow paints a different picture. You can now make phone calls on the 4G network through Google voice, which has no minutes, or data caps, which is very good quality, and make unlimited text. And with all the features that come with Google voice, there is no limits to what you the consumer can do.

I have always said how important Clear was to the wireless, and 4G space. As this is the only network without limits. And how they are needed to move this technology forward. And if not for Clear, then the monopoly's win. Things are moving fast forward now, and Sprint Clear, and Google will emerge the winner's, as well as the consumers. They finally get to know what 4G means through a device, thanks to Sprints vision of the future.

Sprint will find they really did not need T-Mobile.

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding
of the tomorrow technology that was designed for them, to make their life easier, less
expensive for all their communications needs, through any means that the Internet has to offer.

Call me

This is 4G is blogging for the consumer, so their is a better understanding
