You would have gotten lots of good stuff during my trip to Disney, except for the fact that my fancy video camera isn't compatible with my laptop. And I didn't have a firewire cable 'til today, so I couldn't do much with the desktop, either. But enough with the excuses! Here's today's offering!

Thanks to the magic of my campus's Digital Video lab, I was able to put this videoblog together. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do it again because next week is Finals week and the lab is closed. X_X

This particular vlog doesn't have much of an attempt at humor in it...I was actually trying to be somewhat serious. :P So I don't know, will it be considered boring? I guess I'll find out when the stats say I have like 5 views. ;) I also had to cut the hell out of it to keep it from being 10 hours long. That's a first, LOL!

Well. My new miniDV camcorder arrived today, which is super exciting. Unfortunately, Best Buy is my new object of hate, and due to several different problems I still do not have my computer. I don't know when I'm going to get it, now. Anyway, I'm going to try to edit a vlog or two over at our campus digital video lab, but their hours are pretty sparse so we'll have to see.

Does anyone know how to shrink image size down? I want to try to keep the same 320 x 240 dimensions that I have right now, but with a video camera the image is obviously going to be a bit larger. Is there a way to shrink it?

I'll leave you with a picture of Deacon posing provocatively. Kevin and Amanda should appreciate that. (Ha ha ha...I kid.)

As I feared, my crappy laptop is preventing me from videobloggin'. Therefore, this place is on hold until...probably the end of next week. It's always something!

I'm hoping that by then I'll have my new computer, but that all depends on how quickly it gets shipped after I order it.

Boy...it's a good thing only like 5 people look at this thing, ha ha ha ha ha... ¬_¬

My laptop is nearing the end of its days. Low hard disk space, no matter WHAT I delete, means for right now my vlogs have to be SUPER short. Filmtastic Friday may have to wait 'til next week, when I'll hopefully have my new computer. Fingers crossed!

This should have been out yesterday, the 20th. Lucky for me, my video editing software well and truly died, so I had to redo it all in Windows Movie Maker...again. And then I couldn't get on the Internet for whatever reason, so it had to wait even longer. Someone put my computer out of its misery. Please.

As for "Filmtastic Friday"...I have a sneaking suspicion that this week's is going to turn into "Cinema Saturday." But let's not be pessimistic just yet!

*Note: Sorry for the crap quality and squashed dimensions here, folks! I spent 5 hours editing this thing together in some free software that was supposed to be SO good...and when I tried to save it, it didn't work. Whether this was an issue with my computer or the software, I don't know. I managed to save the audio and transferred it to Windows Movie Maker, where I spent another hour trying to fit the video in with the audio. As such, despite my best efforts, some clips will not be completely in synch. I tried, really I did!
