What I loved about this concert:
Neil & the Horse not only ran @ full gallop but they also flipped the script of the setlist.
That summer, on every other stop, they played Greendale beginning to end, with too few classic tunes as short encores.
I have come to fully appreciate Greendale in the years since.

thinking of the old-new song, casting me away from you: it is brilliant as a heartbreaker. This is a time when we are not thinking so much about the future and we are caught up in the passion of the moment (not knowing how it all "goes up in smoke" (over and over). A definite emotion or emotions are here, something I remember. Hopefully we learn.

Different opinions on the song. One thing I remember of being young and feeling like I was "in love." The line, about "leaving me behind" strikes some intense emotions in my heart. Not a trivial idea. Two people who were in love and one is now being left behind....sucks

That was better than I expected - his voice is still strong. I've watched a lot of RITFW covers but I think that's the 1st one to feature violins.

Who's Next is one of my favourite albums of all time, and Behind Blue Eyes is a highlight. My mother didn't approve of the album sleeve though, so had to keep it out of sight mostly, alongside Sticky Fingers :-)

When I read thoughts under specific heading and they nosedive and take off-ramps into deep thinkers like Marx, etc. and blah blah blah...to me...it has nothing to do with the song which is what people ought to be expressing under the label/heading.
