It is always refreshing when Three Pennies gets to be around fun loving couples. We had the joy of spending the afternoon on Lake Lanier in Cumming, GA with Alex and Kirby. We grabbed a few canoes, some beach picnic supplies and headed for the water. The two of them were so great in front of the camera…it gives us a glimpse of just how great their wedding day will be.

Alex and Kirby were a prime example of two people in love. They are so excited about their future together, and so are we!

Three Pennies traveled down to Newnan, Ga for our first Vinewood wedding. We had heard great thing about Vinewood, but this was one of those rare instances where what we heard came nowhere close to how beautiful Vinewood truly is. Christina’s rustically romantic and elegant style matched the Vinewood backdrop perfectly.

Christina and Mitch’s story is beautiful, as are they, but it’s their story that brought us all together. We almost felt like we were in a fairy tale; Christina was completely captivating and Mitch was pure gentleman. The two of them together is nothing short of utter endearment. The ceremony was infront of an old mantle in the shade of massive trees followed by a reception consisting of candle light, dozens of floral arrangements, incredible food, and a perfect spring night. This all became background music as we heard story after story of life and love from all the attendees. There wasn’t a dry eye in the place during the toasts, literally.

The weddings Three Pennies’ enjoy the most are the weddings that words can’t describe… this wedding was one.

Brides and all things wedding are the usual on the Three Pennies blog. Today we thought we’d change it up a bit.

It’s really only been a few months since we met Eryn and Jared. We’ve known of them for years yet for one reason or another just really never made the connection. OH how happy we are that we did. Last week, the four of us got away for a little vacation (much needed) and I’m pretty sure the Amelia Island getaway was fantastic. This post is less about sharing beach photos and more about singing the praises of our friends.

These two are truly a force for good and creativity. They live and breath what they’re passionate about. Not only have they defeated the myth of the impossibility of married couples working together but they’ve become a great encouragement to us. Anna and I came into this vacation with the weight of business and craft looming over our heads; we left rested and energized for what’s to come. Eryn and Jared did such a great job helping us re-realized how much fun there is in these lives we lead. There is literally too much to tell about these two, so we highly recommend checking out all that they are involved with. (Less Made, 8BIT , So Worth Loving, and Eddy Music). Follow their stories and we promise you’ll love it.

We know all too well how rare it is to find friends such as these and we are truly grateful for these two. Hope you enjoy some vaca photos.

I know we say this all the time but Three Pennies is so blessed to have these amazing couples in our lives. Either we’ve lucked out with our brides or there are just a lot of beautiful personalities out there. We think the latter.

Lindsey and Seth were no exception. It’s an understatement to say that we had an adventure together. The four of us spent the entire afternoon dodging way-too-curious horses and cows. If anything, we have some pretty good stories to tell.

Lindsey and Seth are the type of couple that we can’t wait for their wedding day because we know it’s going to be a true celebration of life and love.

Three Pennies loved being able to open up our spring season at Frogtown Vineyards in the hills of Dahlonega, Ga. We were so blessed to be able to capture Kim and Andy’s wedding day. Their day in the mountains was the perfect mix of weather and incredible lanscape.

Kim and Andy spent the day enjoying the company of so many that they love and care for. These are the moments we love being close to. It’s being around these moments that make us realized just how blessed our lives truly are!

Lately Three Pennies has been putting everything we’ve got towards making our stylized engagement sessions great for our couples. Sometimes it can be stressful connecting the dots and every once and a while it seems like we’re down to the last second. So much thought and effort when into Jess and Mack’s stylized session but for some reason we had the hardest time getting all the pieces together (ahem finding a boat!). We are so thankful for good friends and a hard working team because the stars aligned and we couldn’t be more excited about the images we have to show.

Jessica and Mack are quickly becoming some of our favorite people. Every part of who they are as a couple is so endearing that we feel like we’re the ones benefiting. Our day was full of adventure. Sneaking on sail boats and then trying our hand sailing the treacherous waters of Lake Lanier.

It is always such a treat when Three Pennies gets to spend time with a couple that has so much fun together. For Betsy and Brian’s Stylized Engagement Session we spent the afternoon at Buford Dam, then headed over toMary Alice Park in Cumming to catch the sunset on the water. The day turned out beautifully and gave us a chance to throw our shoes off and take some amazing photos. They described themselves as laid back and fun and they were exactly that! Three Pennies’ loves this attitude and it definitely shows in the photos. With pillows and a quilt, pretty flowers and a hidden sandy spot, a gorgeous scene was set for the two lovebirds. Between Betsy’s beautiful smile and Brian’s willingness to make us laugh throughout the shoot, I’d say this session was a success.

We can’t wait for Betsy and Brian’s big day!

Three Pennies’ trip up to South Carolina was more than a Stylized Engagement Session, this was a trip to re-connect with friends. We’ve been so blessed to call Ross a friend for several years and so excited to get to know Jaimie. There really isn’t any better part of our job than to spend an entire afternoon with a couple.

Our venture to South Carolina’s Luv Shack by the River was well worth the drive. Ross and Jaimie picked a great location full of great landscapes. All we had to do was add it a bike, vintage couch, and some flowers and it was perfect.

As the South Carolina sun was setting behind the Chattahoochee National Forest all we had to do was sit back and let Emily and Bryan enjoy the day. There was a perfect “Three Pennies style” field right beside the trail entrance that we couldn’t resist. Even though Bryan is more of a mountain biker we thought this vintage beach cruiser would be a good compromise. A few semi-flat tires and soft ground gave him a bit of a challenge but no big deal.

Three Pennies’ loves creating engagement sessions around our couple’s interests. Not only does this make for a more meaningful photo session for them but the location’s are environments in which they feel the most comfortable.
