There’s nothing more humbling than to look back over the past year and realize how much Three Pennies has been blessed. The opportunity to be able to pursue our craft, combined with all the lovely people we’ve met has been truly incredible. 2011 brought so much happiness into our lives we just can’t help but share some of our favorite moments. Each photo represents a relationship and journey that we’ve been absolutely privaledged to be apart of.

North Georgia, Dawsonville, Fall, Mary Alice Park and brunch don’t really mean anything by themselves, but once you add Marrilee and Jason to the mix it all changes. Three Pennies has been holding on to this wedding for far too long and couldn’t be more excited to share it with you today.

The sun was rising as the Three Pennies PHOTOBOOTH went up with 31 degree weather and ridiculous winds, but still smiles were everywhere. From the minister to the caterers, everyone there were close friends and family, and love was the theme of the day. Merrilee, so calm and beautiful; Jason, a genuine and kind spirited fellow both committed their lives together on November 5th, 2011 to a life of love and friendship.

After the morning wedding and brunch reception was completed (and Jason struggling to get the 6 speed Porsche out of the parking lot) we finally made it to the couple’s session. M and J were finally alone and able to enjoy each other’s company. We were honored to be there for that moment and to be able to capture it. Their adventurous couples session was easily one of our top sessions of the year.

As always, the hope of Three Pennies is that these images accurately capture our couple and inspire love in those that view them.

It’s safe to say the Three Pennies team knows their way around a farm. Since we live on one, about 25% of our photo shoots are with the beautiful North Georgia scenery behind. So we were pumped when Katelyn & Justin suggested we shoot their fall inspired stylized engagement session on a farm in Snellville, GA. The scenery was breathtaking, pastures with roaming cows, a few barns, lake and the most beautifully colored trees. Justin brought his plaid wardrobe and Katelyn her beautiful smile.  As we walked around the property, everywhere we turned was a bit of a hidden treasure and we couldn’t wait to capture Katelyn and Justin in it all. We grabbed the flannel blanket, and a few fall inspired props and began to capture this sweet couple just loving each other. We couldn’t help but think it was a treat to get to spend the afternoon in such a gorgeous place.

While roaming around (and carefully watching where we stepped) we got in on a bit of Katelyn and Justin’s love story. We quickly realized what a great couple we were getting to work with. Three Pennies is all about love, and the way these two served each other and communicated was such an amazing thing to witness. So excited to continue to get to know you two!

A few weeks ago Three Pennies had, possibly, our most unique location yet, and an incredible one at that! Leigh Anne chose to have her Stylized Engagement Session near Grant Park in the famous Oakland Cemetery, right in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. At first, being honest here, we didn’t know how a cemetery shoot would work with Three Pennies’ style, but we always want our brides to be happy. So we went with it, and we’re so glad that we did!

Oakland Cemetery is full of incredible mausoleums, paths, and of course, headstones. This combination of historic architecture and soft sunlight created a stunning affect. All we had to do was throw in some flowers and a great wardrobe while Leigh Anne and Mark did their thing. They were naturals. Three Pennies even had the fortunate pleasure of running into the annual Zombie Walk (sarcasm). Even though the zombies would have made an amazing Halloween tribute we decide to stick with just Leigh Anne and Mark.

So,  Three Pennies is turning a zombie filled cemetery into a place of romance. Take that Halloween. Hope you enjoy!

These images that you are about to see are a Three Pennies dream come true. Take an amazing couple, add a lake, horses, a beautiful fall day and some coke bottles and it doesn’t get much better!

We had such a fun day with Brent & Bekah at their Dallas, Georgia outdoor stylized shoot. Not only was there a lot of laughing, but a sense of love that you just could not overlook. We took in the scenery, grabbed the fishing poles and flowers and headed for the dock. Capturing sweet moments was an easy task with these two. It was a beautiful setting as Brent fished, and Bekah read her Bible, something the two of them do often together. We got to learn more about their story as they showed us sentimental items they brought along to the shoot all the way from Africa, the place they fell in love. This is what Three Pennies loves so much about the experience of a stylized shoot, getting to step into the lives of a couple and get to know them and what they love to do together, and even more, what they love about each other.

We look forward to spending even more time with them on the big day!

The only thing Three Pennies loves more that a great bride is a bride that comes back for more! In August we had the great pleasure of being a part of April and Brett’s wedding and were thrilled when they decided to do a post wedding Stylized Couple’s Session. Anna found this awesome loft space in downtown Atlanta and then we ended the shoot in Atlanta’s Freedom Park. We definitely lucked out with some perfect weather and were completely blessed to have Mao from Four Inch Fold supply Three Pennies with some amazing furniture.
