Mischo Erban recently broke the Guinness World record for "fastest skateboard speed from a standing position" by clocking in at 80.74 mph. What's the connection to Sitara ARM processors? Using a camera-equipped Recon helmet he was able to record the whole thing, plus he was able to see his speed with the heads-up display mounted inside the helmet. The helmet's capability was designed with the TI Sitara ARM AM37x processor. If the Sitara processor can play a role in breaking a world record - just think what it can do for you!

Whitepaper: Using BeagleBone to simplify open-source development

The rapid advancement of open-source software has increased the need for open-source hardware. Open-source hardware platforms, such as those offered by BeagleBoard.org, give developers and hobbyists the robust open-source resources they need to deliver new products to the marketplace quickly and, at the same time, reduce their risks. As a flexible and extensible open hardware development platform, BeagleBone from BeagleBoard.org can effectively facilitate a development team's transition into the open-source world. This whitepaper provides an overview of this hardware platform and using it within an open-source development environment.
