When I saw the interior of TA-ZE, a store based in Toronto Canada specializing in Oils, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful wall shelving. Well I just came across something very similar at the Container store. Although they don't have the same "wow" factor, you're still getting the same look for a fraction of the price! Or you can try your hand at making them yourself, could turn out to be a great DIY project ;)

My ixxi print!

My ixxi print is up and it looks fabulous! The process was a bit tedious with me losing almost half a day trying to connect all the squares together, then again it probably wouldn't take as long if the print was smaller (My ixxi was quite large measuring at 200x180 cm) But everything was pretty straight forward and it was super easy to assemble.

The image I used was a photograph my husband took of a magazine kiosk in Milan on our Euro trip a couple of years back. It has always been a favorite of mine and I wanted to incorporate into our home somehow, so I chose it as the backdrop to our daily dining area. I think it complements it well don't you think?

I hate to admit it, but at awards season, I find myself enjoying the red carpet coverage more than the show itself! It's so entertaining to see all the starlets dressed to the nines in the latest designer gowns. Discovering who is wearing who, studying their hair and makeup, and then picking out the best looks is my ultimate guilty pleasure ;) .. This year at the Golden Globes, The ladies went all out and everyone looked so good. I never thought I'de have Sofia Vergara in my top best dressed list but she was a vision of beauty in a navy Vera Wang mermaid gown! I loved how the bottom half of the dress mimicked ocean waves, and it fit her like a glove!! Charlize Theron looked ethereal in her asymmetrical Dior gown, many didn't like the diamond head band but I think it complemented the dress well. Michelle Williams, always opts for something simple and seems to blend in rather than stand out. But this year she really stood out for me, The purple Jason Wu dress is perfect against her fair skin and again I really loved the headband with her short pixie haircut. Next is Nicole Richie in a metallic Julien Mcdonald dress, stunning! loved the hair and makeup too. Finally Elle Mcpherson, who looks like she hasn't aged a day, was a show stopper in my favorite gown designer, Zac Posen.
