Hi everyone! :) We spent the weekend with family celebrating a birthday! :) It was tons of fun---filled with cake and good memories! And because of the birthday party and the need for a special card, I have TWO new Wryns to share with you today too, so my week is off to good start. LOL I was only going to do one this week, but I needed the birthday image, so I quickly sketched one and I like it! :) My daughter said it should have been a huge piece of cake with a bite in it, so that may be next...LOL

Hi everyone! :) Are you in the mood for a new Wryn? I seriously hope so, because you are going to love the cute samples today!! :) Again, I owe my DT a huge thank you for their lovely work. :)

In fact, we are saying goodbye to Tracy today (thanks so much for all your wonderful creations!), but we have a new DT member today---LOU MAC! I am sure many of you already know her work, but please meet Lou if you haven't. :) She joined us last week for the first time, but we are officially welcoming her with this new challenge. LOL We are thrilled to have her and it will be well worth it to check out some of her delightful creations and visit her to say welcome! :)

I really want to say thank you to everyone who has been posting on Facebook as well to show us your samples...it makes my day to see your creations. :)

Who Inspires You? Link and Spread Some Love

Well, I think most people know I am inspired by my own Little Bit, but I am also totally in awe of some amazing crafters and artists in the art world as well. I am inspired by all my DT members, but there are tons of other artisans---too many to list---and many who I know I would love to see, but there aren't enough hours in the day to find them...LOL

So I want to know. Who inspires you? Let's share some of the love!! Do you admire him/her/them due to their artistic growth and amazing skill today and yesterday? Is there an amazing card every time you visit a blog?

Is it a creative spirit which always comes up with inventive projects?

Would you trade your Copics for an hour in their craft room? Okay, well, maybe half your Copics?? LOL

I would like to "meet" the person/crafter/blogger who inspires you. If you take the time to share, you will be entered into a drawing for the Wryn image of your choice. I will select 2 random winners. You can link as many people as you like, but let's try to keep it to 5 per person....LOL

Here is how it will work....I opened a link list below, so that you can:

Link the blog of the crafter(s) that inspire you and then
Leave a comment with the link you shared. This way, we all get to see the inspirational person, but I can choose a winner from the comments, giving credit to that person for sharing.

Hello, happy people! :) It has been a fantastic week and sooo much fun drawing up some new Wryns. :) I have a two new ones for you this week. Wanna see????

This little Wryn is of course based on my own little Wryn. :) She LOVES and I mean LOVES her cowgirl boots (and I love mine too LOL); we wear them in the mud, in the house, all weekend and just about everywhere. We get a new pair about once a year as she wears them out with all that lovin'. LOL

Tiddly Tuesday - I am back!

So big huge Yay for finishing up with moving...I am so excited to be done and back on schedule for the most part...I still don't know where everything is, but what else is new. LOL

I am currently working on several new Wryns, but I have two to share this week. Little story for the first one.

So one of my delightful DT members Lou, who is a doll in so many ways, has a secret treasures in the form of a hilarious kiddo who comes up with brilliant ideas that Lou passes onto me...hehe. So the first little Wryn was suggested by Lou's crafty-like-a-fox kiddo! :)

Now, the saying comes from a goodbye game I play with my Little Bit (who is also crafty as a fox) . :D To say bye at school, I say "I love you!" She says "I love you MORE!" and I say, "Nah-uh, I love You MOST!" and we both grin and she hops out...:) So, to all of you who have someone you love the MOST...

I started with Y30, mixed with YR04, R27, E49, E18, Y02, YR07---It was a hodgepodge of shading....hehe I never follow any sort of recipe...just what feels good at the moment.

We just moved back to the family farmlett (to avoid serious allergy problems in an older, but beautiful rent house), so our new favorite pasttime is walking around and picking weeds...yup, weeds. LOL We have tons of small purpley clover/weeds that grow everything and they make great little bouquets....It make me think spring already (we have a few months to go here) and flowers, so meet:

I am so happy to see you this week, but I am running a bit behind this week---for good reason. :) My family and I are moving houses and I don't have my scanner or anything hooked up at the moment, so new images and cards will have to wait until next week when my office is back to normal.

Bog Hop Instructions---How to Play along on January 13

So I thought I would spell out exactly how to join in the blog hop on January 13 because we would love to have you play along...

Theme: Friends are the Flowers of Life: Use any Tiddly Inks digital image to create a card or project and participate in the blog hop

How to Participate:
This is actually a 4-step process:

One, you have to make the card in advance using a Tiddly Inks image, preferably with friends or flowers as the theme, but it is open to any TI image. Just have fun! :)

Two, post your photo and information on your own personal blog on January 13 before 12 PM CST--and at least by 5:45 PM CST---so you can meet the 6-hour window to enter the blog hop. The title of your post should be "Friends are the Flowers of Life - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop".

Three, once your blog post is live, visit the Tiddly Inks challenge blog (our enrollment list will be open for 6 hours--see times below) and link your blog hop post at the bottom of the "Flowers" Blog Hop post (there will be an Inlinkz list) in order to be qualified for the prizes. There is no need to sign up in advance---just have a post ready to link.

Four, the enrollment time will close at 6:00 PM (and hopefully we have about 30 to 40 people who linked) and then we hop around and view their cards---and your card---from the list on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog. Sounds like fun, right? Last time we had a hundred-plus people coming around and commenting and it was fun!! :)

Welcome 2012 and Wryn n' Friends

Welcome to 2012! I am feeling very excited and rejuvenated by a new character and a new year and a new---well, everything! :)

I introduced you to Wryn and some of her friends briefly last week, but this is why the Wryn character is close to my heart. :) I have only one daughter and I don't discuss her much or post her pictures as I feel she has a right to her life and her privacy and to make the decision to have her life posted when SHE posts it....hopefully, never. LOL Anyway, so you will probably never see my kiddo plastered on my blog, except for the occasional funny (in my mind LOL) story. But starting now, you might see a lot of this character based on my Little Bit. LOL When I was pregnant, I wanted to name my daughter ArylWryn after a favorite book character, but my hubby voted that down, despite the fact that he is Irish. LOL So I have been hanging onto the name and this little character, who is loosely based on my own Little Bit, is the lucky girl to get named Wryn. She is going to do all the naive, sweet, silly, and lovingly innocent things my daughter does, which I am sure matches up with many little girls in the world so I hope you find some of your own little "birdie/wren" in Wryn.

I already have a few requests for things Wryn can be doing, but feel free to leave me a comment suggesting something a sweet, innocent girl would love to do. :)

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

How was everyone's week? Tell me a happy story...:) It is very happy around here as it is the last week of school and our family is almost off for Christmas for 2 weeks and boy is that a good thing. LOL Now confession time: I still do not have up a Christmas tree or a single decoration yet. And let's not even mention all the Christmas cards I did NOT make this year. I have yet to get my annual christmas letter together with photos from the year either....hmmm, I pretty confident I can get done this weekend....just need some elves. LOL I do have plans for the Christmas tree tomorrow, so that will be fun. :)

Anyway, this is our final Tiddly Inks challenge this year (can you believe it???), so the challenges will return on January 3 with some new members and images too.

I have a whole new character coming out in January so I can't wait to share those with you...they are inspired by my daughter and all her quirky loveliness. I swear she is the neatest kid in the world (of course, every mother thinks that about their kiddo, right?). LOL

Anyway, I don't have a card for you this week, but I do have a quick freebie and a link to see all the marvelous creations by the Tiddly Inkers. I will be having sneak peeks and a Christmas present for you soon, so don't disappear entirely until the new year.

Hi guys! This has been a super busy week at our house----guess it is always busy at our house. LOL It definitely doesn't feel like Christmas yet either, so I am trying to get in the mood....not working yet. Maybe by next week??? LOL

I am sure you are all out shopping, but we are home and relaxing today. hehe We ate a bit too much yesterday and just spent time sniffing the delicious baby smell that arrived with my new little niece Lily Claire. :) As some of you might remember, I designed a stamp for her when she was born 6 months ago and it turns out that she really does have red hair....LOL I get such a kick out of that. :) Well, anyway, we got to meet her for the first time since she lives out of state and here she is....a delightful little bear cub. :) I foresee that I will definitely be drawing her with a bear outfit very soon. :)

I hope you all had as great a Thanksgiving day as we did. I suggest you check back in the shop on Monday for a Cyber Monday sale...I have almost talked myself into a good sale. hehe See you then. :)

With Grateful Thanks - a free gift

Hello all my dear friends. :) I am so very grateful for so many things today. When holidays such as Thanksgiving roll around I often find myself reflecting on my life and all the wonderful things that are part of my life. :) I am always grateful for my family---my sexy bald hottie, my gorgeous and brilliant daughter, my sisters, my nephews and with each year that passes that my parents are still with us. This year I also have a new niece to be grateful for---Lily Claire and her cute little red head.

I mean, it isn't perfect here (no way!! LOL) but without these moments of just being grateful for the little things---my job, my dogs, a good book---and big things----all the love that surrounds me, joy, simple pleasures, health, and a blessed life---the life itself sort of slips by without notice. And that is one thing I don't want to do----just slip by. I want to be here, enjoying my choices, my curves (LOL), my family, my joy. I want my cake AND my pie---and then a good group of people to share it with. :) Maybe they will bring pie too. LOL

And you are part of the pie-sharing group in my life. :) I am so grateful for the opportunity to be an artist and share creativity with you. :) I marvel every day when I know that someone is creating something with love for their family, or supporting their family, using my images....how very cool is that? Never gets old. :)

Tiddly Tuesday - New Image, New Freebie, New DT members

Hello, hello and welcome back to Tuesday. We have a lot going on and it is right before the Thanksgiving holiday....for which I am very grateful. :) But that is another post to come this week...hehe For today, we have a new image and freebie and finnnnnaaaaaally, I am announcing our new DT members. :)

First, I drew up a final version of the little genius kid from a few weeks ago and I like how he turned out...a little different, but quirky and cute. :)
