That’s according to Billboard Magazine who listed her as one of the 10 fresh faces to keep an eye out for in 2008. Her single “We the Peoples,” is already available on iTunes. Billboard calls it, “a penultimate, contemporary anthem honoring the mission of the United Nations, perhaps more relevant than ever, given the flux of worldwide politics… a resonant affirmation that politics actually have potential to unite.”Tinatinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16271173904772355108noreply@blogger.comBlogger145125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6370298134798214820.post-25995696928054070642010-05-31T08:02:00.000-07:002010-05-31T08:09:10.689-07:00No excuses!I could list about 101 reasons as to why I have not written a new blog since 2009... But the truth is, it really has been so manic, time and again it came down to either writing a blog or a new chapter for the book. A tough call when you're on a deadline, but at the same time, I've missed blogging so much - it's good to be back!
On the one hand, I'd love to write a whole update of what's been Tinatinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16271173904772355108noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6370298134798214820.post-84187276304561666272009-12-04T12:17:00.001-08:002009-12-04T12:22:28.452-08:00Tinatin: Breaking through the Iron CurtainDear Friends,I'm thrilled to announce my U.S. solo debut at the Metropolitan Room on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m.We have a few special surprises for you, including original song premieres, ultimate classics and a sneak peek at the story behind my Soviet-themed memoir... but more on that (among other exciting surprises!) on January 19th at the Metropolitan Room....Looking forward to Tinatinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16271173904772355108noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6370298134798214820.post-30196990756558610302009-10-11T20:47:00.001-07:002009-10-11T20:50:16.435-07:00Been Too Long... But here's why! There are times when I really miss the daily blogs followed by instant reactions that usually developed into full-on electronic dialogues. But for better or worse, I can only count on a few minutes here and there to post my regular (or nowadays "irregular"... My bad!) updates. Not surprisingly, though, it takes me so long to actually get to the computer for these overdue "news blogs" that I tend Tinatinhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16271173904772355108noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6370298134798214820.post-16840130496737322562009-09-17T11:59:00.000-07:002009-09-17T12:02:26.272-07:00What's Up, Doc?Well, the summer is now officially over and who would have thought - the workload is still full on regardless of the season! With so much writing (both fiction and songs), rehearsing for the upcoming show and meticulous planning, I don't think I've ever juggled so many projects all at once. Yes, It Is!It’s not only true, but it’s also over (the madness, the excitement, the 24 hour schedule with no time to sleep, et cetera). But what a fantastic ride it’s been, and what a great payoff in the end! I couldn’t be more ecstatic about the results…Iceland came in second, with 218 points, including ‘Douze Points’ from three countries: Norway, Malta and Ireland. I couldn’t be happier or more proud! Making it to the finals has most definitely been the highlight of my trip so far. Isn’t that why we are here, after all?Rumor had it, just before the semi-final gala kicked off, that Iceland would either be the first to go through, or it would simply miss out by a couple of votes. The last couple of days have been so intense and “full on” – there is absolutely no escape from the Eurovision madness. Wherever I go in Moscow, it’s unbelievable!Constant press conferences, interviews (TV and radio, even across the other side of the world… but more on that later!) rehearsals and parties – I truly am having a blast!
