I am a member of Gagabux.com and have been waiting for my first payout since 17-April-2010. Now that to me is a long time. I believe that they will pay up eventually. This is because in forums, I see people getting paid after a longer wait of even more than a month! So there is a ray of hope.

The talk of the web is that since they make manual payments and their member-base has become huge in a very short time-span, their payouts are slow. But this is like super-slow. Sheesh. Anyhow, I figured I don't have a thing to lose. So I keep checking the forums and get updates from my friends. Hoping for the best here too.

How is everyone?

OMG OMG OMG! I cannot believe how much stuff has been happening in my life in the past 1 week.

I have bagged 4 freelancing jobs, since I am working from home now. I am busy 5 days a week. Just yesterday I was able to get back to my blogger friends- checking your blogs, reading, commenting, catching up. Love you all!

Today, I have been tweaking my blog, but didn't get too much time for even that. Now I am on my way out for some emergency shopping. Ughhh..At night I need to get some prep done, so that I can start the work week smoothly.

I hope this week is a lot smoother than last. Life in the fast lane is not always fun.lol.

On another note, I have an update for you regarding SocialSpark.com. Since I was the one who wrote a blog post discussing why I loved it so much, I need to write about this update. In case you are planning to join Social Spark, ensure that your blog fulfills the minimum requirements, so that it gets approved immediately.

I learnt about the minimum requirements of Social spark regarding blogs the hard way *weeping*. My blog was rejected by Social spark a few days ago. This was because my blog did not fulfill the minimum requirement that they have. I don't want any of your blogs to be rejected like mine was. So I decided to write an update to let you all know what had happened. This way, you can learn a lesson from my case.

Social Spark's Minimum Requirement for Blog Approval (sent by Customer Love)

--In order for a blog to be approved into our Marketplace, it needs to be a minimum of 90 days old, and contain a minimum of 20 original, non-sponsored posts in those 90 days. This blog currently has less than 20 posts within the past 90 days.

So if/when your blog fulfills this requirement, go right ahead and apply at the site. If all goes well, the blog will certainly be accepted. You can then start earning.Once my blog fulfills the minimum requirements, I plan on applying to Social Spark again. I will keep you posted.

This weekend has been really exhausting. I was looking at some freelancing options and that took a lot of time. Apart from that, I did have to do some regular work at home, it being weekend and all. I had plans to catch up on my sleep, but those plans will have to wait..Sigh!

That's about it! I just wanted to make this quick post to remind you all just one thing, "I'll be back". (Does that remind anyone of the Terminator? Or maybe it's just my mind telling me I definitely need to get some rest. :-) )

I have some not so great news for anyone who has invested money in Hyifund.com

This highly reputed hyip site that used to pay the interests like clockwork within 24 hours, has now stopped doing so.Not just this, they have introduced a new "Cycler" program, asking people to separately deposit funds into it. Looks like they need more money. "When an investment is made, it goes into the queue, which will be paid off as others join the 110% queue." That is what is mentioned in how the cycler program will work. I have to say "Sorry Hyifund.com , I am not interested."

I have been checking up in several forums and everyone seems to think that Hyifund.com has indeed turned into a scam. Unless they arise from the ashes like a Phoenix bird, I request you all to stay away from this hyip site. If there are anymore updates, I will let you know.

How to identify Scams? - For Newbies and Veterans alike

All of us who experiment with money making programs take risks. When we become members of any money making sites, PTCs, GPT, paid-to-signup, HYIP programs, Forex and so on, we can never be a 100 % sure and say that the site/program will not turn into a "Scam". However, if you have been involved in the money making business long enough, then you can identify the telltale signs of most scams.As a newbie, most of us come across some scams and then learn from our mistakes. Here's hoping that you don't have to encounter too many such scam websites. To help you do just that, I thought I would jot down a check-list to identify scams.

Check-list to Identify SCAMS

1. Payment Proofs: Before joining any site, go to their forum and see if you can spot recent payment proofs. It is important to look out for recent proofs, so you know that the site is still paying its members. Many sites start off OK and then turn into scams. Looking for recent proofs will minimize the risk.If you can't find any in the site's forum, google it.

2. Too Good to be True: If a site seems "too good to be true", then it is probably (not possibly, but probably) "too good to be true". Stay away from sites that say things such as cashout at $500; invest $10 and you get back $5000 in 2 months etc. I leant this from my experience with EZLaptop.com.

3. Copyrights information: At the bottom of the page check for what the copyrights information says. Is it too old? Is it missing? All signs of tentative scams.

4. "Contact Us" page: Most Scam sites have a really lame "Contact Us" page or the page may even be non-existant. So ensure that the information there is at the very least "real-looking".

5. Check Forums: Forums such as Earningplace.com and Invest-World.net are great places to do research before joining any site. Check and find out what sort of experience other members have had with the site you want to join. Are they happy with it? Are they complaining about it? Have the sites' earning rates gone down? You can get very valuable information in such forums.

The last bit of advice that I have is that if you ever do get scammed by any site, leave an Alexa rating and tell people in forums, so that others can learn from your experience. Once this is done, just learn and move on.

Hey my precious readers!! Here's another fantabulous GPT forum (get-paid-to) for you all. This site is as useful, informative, trust-worthy and "money making" as Earningplace.com. Bukisa Writers - Warning for you.

If you are an article writer and write for bukisa.com I hope you have read their rules, guidelines and TOS. I write this article as 2 of my friends who have been writing on the site for several months, were shocked when their bukisa content was suddenly removed. They also got banned from the site.

They made the mistake of not reading the guidelines well. Please do not use Traffic Exchange sites with your bukisa.com articles. It is against their policy. In the case of both my friends, they started using traffic exchange sites. One person's content and bukisa account got deleted after a few articles. The other person had reached payout and was waiting to be paid. Then he realized that he could not login to his account and all his content too was deleted from bukisa. So all that hard work and effort was a sheer waste!

Please be careful and read the guidelines when you join sites, so that you don't end up losing money, time, effort and all that hard work.

That is how the information on EZLaptop.com starts. That itself should have been an indicator to me that it was a scam. *crying, tears, sad*. I had joined this site several months ago and realized that it was a scam, when I did not get any laptop. (lol). But I saw someone asking whether ezlaptop.com was a scam in one of the forums and decided that I should write a post about it. This is a caution for anyone who ever comes across this site and is confused about it.

They claim that you can win a Sony Vaio Series laptop or a MacBook Pro (wow baby! Those are such hot machines), just by reading emails. Ya right! Like that could ever happen. Well, I fell for it when I was a newbie in the "Online Money-Making Kingdom". The Sony Vaio Series laptop or a MacBook Pro does make you go blind for a minute. If you are a newbie to online money making, it may make you go blind for a slightly longer period.

So spread the word and don't ever fall for this site or other sites that seem too good to be true. If something seems too good to be true and there are no proofs of it working for others, then it is indeed "too good to be true"!

Stores with those gorgeous "buy 1 get 1 free" offers, discounts, sales - Can they ever be a curse? Do you think I am mental, if I think that the answer to that could be a "Yes?" Well, no matter what you call me, I still think that depending on the situation, such offers can indeed be a curse.

Think about it. The idea of the store/company is to attract the customer, that would be you, to buy things just because the products are at a slashed price. But quite often you might end up buying things that you don't even need! I for one have had this happen to me. I used to get wooed into buying a few products, here and there, just because they were on sale.

The idea is to use such discounts and offers for your own benefit, and not to waste money buying things you may barely use (just because they were cheap). So don't ever buy products just because they are cheap. Ask yourself, "Do I really need this?" Walk away from the shop selling the product. If in 30 minutes you think you still need the product, go ahead and pick it up.

We all need to practice self-control when it comes to these "buy 1 get 1 free" offers. But at least you won't be wasting money on things you don't need! ;-)

I was not really into colored eyeliners. Black and brown eyeliners were good enough for me. But just recently my sister bought me two gorgeous eyeliner pencil shades. Two shades that are fun to use and would have been even cooler to use, while I was still in college. One is a beautiful blue and the other is a teal color. I was a little hesitant at first, but then decided to use these two eyeliner shades. If you are looking for these colors you can find them in most leading cosmetic brands. Mine are Maybelline eyestudio eyeliner pencils. I realized that experimenting with colors is not a bad thing at all. It is quite fun and makes me look much younger too.
