When a Goods Shipment is processed as Complete;
When a POS Order is marked as Booked;
When a Warehouse Order is marked as Booked;
When a Goods Receipt is marked as Complete.

The aforementioned transactions will either add to inventory or deduct from inventory. None of these transactions should be allowed during the counting of inventory. Additionally, all of these transactions should be physically fulfilled prior to counting the inventory.

After inventory is taken, all aforementioned transactions that were not fulfilled should be archived and forgotten. If a transaction still needs to be filled, then it needs to be created again in order for inventory to be properly managed.

Precounting Backstock – Phase 1

The bulk inventory within the warehouse shall be counted throughout the week by a small team. Each bin should be counted, sealed and tagged with an inventory document.

During this phase the inventory team will identify items which are out of place. These items should be relocated to the pick line or to the uncounted warehouse inventory. If a bin is ever opened, it will need to be recounted.

Sealed Bins from the bulk inventory may still be accessed throughout the week to fill orders as necessary.

A location accurate SKU list, shall be created for every aisle in the warehouse. This will allow the counting personnel to count and record numbers as quickly as possible with the highest degree of accuracy.

Day of Inventory – Phase 2

Order fulfillment may continue throughout the day as normal. The goal for this work day will be the closing of every transaction by close of business. To avoid overtime pay you may decide to take inventory on a slower work day and close around noon of that day. When the regular work day has completed, inventory shall become a company wide effort.

All inventory shall be identified and sorted back into the warehouse. All open containers need to be counted by various teams assigned to sections throughout the warehouse. An additional team will be assigned to record the inventory count on the sealed containers.

An Inventory Table shall be setup with one computer station for every fifty employees involved in the inventory. Two man teams are issued a SKU List to count. As a team completes a SKU List they will return it to the Inventory Table to receive another SKU List. Every SKU List shall be counted by two separate teams.

If the numbers between the two counts differ, a special counting team shall count the skeptical numbers. If the counted numbers differ from expected inventory numbers then those SKUs shall be counted again.

When the final numbers have been realized, those shall be entered into OpenBravo, before any transactions are opened.

It’d try to change my search engine and install a toolbar and also sit inside my internet local area connection. Above all these, it’d make the internet connection very slow.  I didn’t have money to buy a VPN thing, so that I can be on  a dedicated proxy. The only way was to wait for a tweak or hack to listen to pandora music online.

Luckily today, I found a tweak from labnol.org which removed my fears and could play pandora music from anywhere in the world without even having an account. The answer is very simple.

You need to use an addon or extension if you’re using Firefox or Chrome respectively. 

Before we go into the details, I’d like to introduce PANDORA to my readers. Well, Pandora is not the same you saw in “Avatar”. Pandora is a popular music website where you can listen to various playstations and search for music for free. You can listen to your favourite song just by typing the song name or favorite artist.

What’s the restriction ?

By default, this service plays only in the US or America. So if anyone is trying to access the pandora website, they’ll be displayed with a restricted page.

You’ll be asked to fill up your email, if you want to know when Pandora is available in your country.

So what’s the tweak to play pandora anywhere on the earth, without using a proxy.

1. If you are on Firefox, install the HTTPS Everywhere extension developed by EFF and restart the browser.
2. If you are on Google Chrome, install the HTTPS Everywhere extension. Then click the extension’s icon in the Chrome address bar and set the status to enable.
3. Now open the Pandora website in your browser and you should be able to use Pandora just like any other user inside the United States.

Update: At present, the above extensions seem to be not working. As an alternative you can try the HotSpot Shield method. This is an 100% working tweak, using which you not only can listen to Pandora from outside U.S.A, but also listen to other streaming services like OpenHulu and CBS.com.

This tweak or hack works better in Firefox as all the settings to play Pandora are already adjusted. Also, the addon used is a stable version. But if you’re using Chrome you may need to tweak a few settings, as the extension is still in beta version. As it can be understood, that the IP based filtering doesn’t seem to work when the site is accessed on a secure connection.

But in the new Timeline feature your history shows all your photos, shared links, likes, friends and what not. Well, I feel that when you look at a person’s profile layout, I don’t what to see all the social networking things he done through his social networking career on facebook.

I’d prefer to see basic things like where he went to college, his birthday, his interests, hobbies etc. But the new timeline totally ruined the simplicity.

But on the other side, the Timeline advantage is it’s drop-down menu. You can see a list of features like About, Friends, Photos, Likes, Subscribers, Subscriptions etc piece-wise. This is useful. But see the whole history at a time is too mouthful. So I wanted a way to revert back to old facebook profile layout.

Facebook users who’ve not updated to the new Timeline feature are in good luck, as still their old facebook profile is visible to the visitors of their profile, just like some of my friends. But what about fellows, who’ve updated to the new Facebook profile or Timeline?

Truly speaking, there is no permanent way of reverting back to the old Facebook profile layout. The only way is to install an extension or add-on through which you can hide or disable the timeline feature, temporarily.

How to go back to Old Facebook Profile ?

If you’re using Internet Explorer, you can degrade to old facebook profile layout by using an older version like IE 7 or IE6. This is because the new timeline are not well optimized for the older versions of Internet Explorer.

If you’re on Firefox or Chrome, there is much simple way to do this.

Visit  Timelineremove.com, and select the browser you’re using. This will install the perfect addon or extension for your browser. Refresh your Facebook profile and you’ll be revert to old Facebook profile. You can view your friend’s profiles also in old layout style and this works out only on your computer. But your friends will still be able to see the Timeline feature just as earlier. The only way to disable the Timeline is to ask your friends to install this addon or extension on their browser or computer.

In the above 2 screenshot you can see the difference between the old facebook profile and the new Timeline feature. This hack brings the old Facebook memoirs back e.g the row of tagged photos, simple profile view and quick access to bookmarks on the left.

But on the first try it was difficult for me to setup Google Webmaster Tools account with Google Analytics. Finally, after doing some research on Google I found out a way.

How to setup Google WebMaster Tools with Google Analytics

• Login to your Google Analytics account.

(If you’re still using old version then click on “New Version” link on the top to use the new version).

• Under “Account Home” you can see different accounts.
• Under each account, you see different websites listed.
• Click on one of the website link and it’ll open the property name. Click on it.

• This will open the standard reporting page of Google Analytics for that property or website.
• On the left hand side you can see, “Traffic Sources”.
• If you go down the list, you can see “Search Engine Optimization”.

• Under this click on “Queries” or any other two options.
• You’ll see a message on the right hand side to enable or “setup WebMasterTools data sharing” with Google Analytics.

• Click on the button that says “Setup WebMaster Tools Data Sharing”.
• This will take to the “Property Settings” page.

• At the bottom click on the “Edit” link. This will open a new page.
• This will list all the properties in your Google WebMaster Tools account.
• Choose the property you want to link with Google Analytics and click on “Save”.

• A confirmation message will be displayed.
• Read the message and accept it.
• This will take to the earlier page i.e Property Settings page.

Now you can see the link of your website beside the “Edit” link and also under “Enabled Profiles” you see 1 profile. Click on “Apply”. You’ll see a “Success” message at the top in green.

This completes your Google WebMaster Tools Data Sharing with Google Analytics. Now you can see data under “Search Engine Optimization” for Queries, Landing Pages etc. This also completes google webmaster tools verification for your website or blog.

I recently purchased 3 WordPress themes (actually frameworks to say) and will let you know my experience. The three WordPress frameworks I purchased are:

• Thesis Framework
• Genesis Framework
• Colorlabs Framework (Arthemia Premium theme)

With each Framework, there comes a free premium theme also. In this post I’d  like to compare Thesis and Colorlabs frameworks.

Price

When coming to price, Arthemia Premium is the clear winner.

The price of Thesis for a single site use is $87 while Colorlabs is just $49. The price for a developer option for Thesis is $164 while for Colorlabs is just $99. You can easily see the price difference between the two.

Support

The support provided by Thesis and ColorLabs are both different.

In Thesis, the support is provided in forums, community and in the form of documentation. But ColorLabs, doesn’t have a forum for support but provides support on a ticket basis. ColorLabs provides installation service which is not seen in Thesis and also supports on a ticket to ticket basis. The documentation provided by Thesis is far better than ColorLabs. But the answers I received in support forums of Thesis are not up to the mark and you need patience for your solutions to your problems. Well, in ColorLabs, if you provide your WordPress website credentials, the support team does everything you mention in the ticket.

Admin Panel

In this case, Arthemia Premium is more cool and easier.

Just like any other premium/paid themes, both the frameworks provide an Admin panel.

Out of the two premium wordpress theme admin panels, I found Arthemia Premium version is more intuitive, simple and easy. To understand Thesis Admin panel, you need to know a bit about SEO and read their documentation before you make any changes. But, Arthemia Premium can be understood by the look at their options itself. Also, Arthemia provides drag and drop support for their options which is not there in Thesis. Also, the list of options in Thesis is very big and it’s time consuming to open each option and make changes.

Custom WordPress Editor Support

Here, Arthemia is a big winner.

The only customization support Thesis provides is in the form of style boxes for paragraphs and some CSS buttons recently. But in Arthemia, you can find plethora of options with just click of a button.

Here, you find different options like Button, Icon Link, Info  box, Column Layout, Tab Layout, List Generator, Social Buttons etc to include in your WordPress content editor. You can customize your content with decorations as you like, which is not so easy in Thesis.

Thumbnails

Here also the clear winner is Arthemia.

In order to get “thumbnails” for the excerpts of my posts, I had to rely on third-party plugins in Thesis. TimThumb script (for producing thumbnails) didn’t work in Thesis. The support provided in Thesis also guided me to buy me a third-party plugin called “Thumbnail Catcher Pro” by Sergin in order to accomplish my problem. Even after installing the plugin I had to discuss with the plugin owner, to make my task done. But in Arthemia, TimThumb is rightly working and worked like a charm without any dodges.

 SEO

I’m not sure about this.

Thesis boasts around on the internet that their’s is the best seo wordpress theme with comparison to search engine results. Apart from the option for faster loading, I didn’t find anything special with their options. Both Thesis and Arthemia, provide default SEO panel and options like SEO Title, SEO description, meta keywords etc.

 Wordpress Plugins

Here also Arthemia is the clear winner.

After installing Arthemia, I didn’t worry of any other plugins to install. I just installed “Wibiya” toolbar  and other promiscuous plugins to my taste. But in Thesis, I had to worry about some more plugins to fulfill my ambitions of theme pleasancy.

Thesis provides other options like how much width your content panel and sidebar can be, canonical URLs, Windows Live Writer support etc which are not much difficult to achieve in Arthemia. Also, the file system in Thesis is different, where you have to use hooks and filters. Also, for any modifications you’ve to depend on custom_functions.php and custom.css. But Thesis is more advanced when coming to customization and for developers.

In the end, if you want a simple, intuitive wordpress theme, I’d recommend Arthemia Premium.

3.   You’ll see a “camera icon” in the search box. Click on it.

4.   You can search Google with an image instead of text here.

5.     Either enter the image URL or upload photo to see the search results for your image.

6.     You’ll be displayed “visually similar images” for your search.

This looks little funny as you’ll be expecting “similar” kind of images resembling the image search you made, but on the contrary, you’ll be displayed “visually similar images”.

The above search results are for the image I loaded of myself. As it looks like, Google does a pixel-wise comparison of the image or URL you uploaded and will display the search results correspondingly.

But after software deletion and installation some empty files and folders remain on your laptop. Finding each empty file and folder and deleting them is a burden. An empty file is one with zero size and an empty folder is one which doesn’t have any files or has empty files.

To overcome this difficulty, FMS has introduced 2 software called

Both the software have a very simple intuitive interface and have very less options.

FMS Empty Folder Remover removes empty folders and allows you to select any parent folder and search for all empty folders in it.  The parent folder can be a partition drive or any folder in it. After the search is complete, folder name and its full path will be displayed. By default all the empty folders will be checked. But if you want you can uncheck them all with “Uncheck All” button and manually check the folders you want to remove.  There’s also “Check All” option which you can use to select all the empty folders again.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t allow to select all the partition drives at once, just like selecting the “My Computer” so it’d be simple to find all the empty folders in your computer in one go. You need to manually open each partition and find the empty folders.

Although, this is an old method of getting web traffic, this has not much relevance from SEO point of view. Earlier many blogs were “do-follow”, and your links would count as backlinks. But now all the comment systems are “no-follow” and you don’t receive any SEO juice. But commenting on top blogs and websites still works with regard to increasing traffic on your site.
