Many candidates are often worried that by “overselling” themselves they may appear in arrogant and, as a result, they opt for straight answers which can sometimes appear fairly formless.

Here are some interview  techniques which can help you to  do yourself justice and improve your interview skills to a level that will make you one of the strongest candidates.

Know yourself . be Prepared

Bring wth you a  folder containing extra copies of your resume, a copy  references and paper to take notes. You should also have questions prepared to ask at the end of the interview. For extra assurance, print a copy of Monster’s handy interview take-along checklist.

Research on the job and your future employers

Researching the company before the interview and learning as much as possible about its services, products, customers and competition , which will give you an edge in understanding and addressing the company’s needs. The more you know about the company  the better chance you have of selling yourself in the interview.

any candidates  don’t ask questions and miss the opportunity to find out valuable information. The questions you ask indicate your interest in the company or job.

Use personal experiences to expand your point.

One specific example of your background can worth for 50 vague stories. Prepare your stories before the interview. Give examples that highlight your successes and uniqueness. Your past behavior can indicate your future performance.

Answer the questions using STAR framework with examples

Candidates often don’t think about whether they are answering actually  asked questions by their interviewers . Make sure you understand what is being asked, and get further clarification if you are unsure then give your answer

Be comfortable in behavior which must reflect in your body language . 

Select dress wearing for the interview. Depending on the company and position, get your best interview clothes and check them over for spots and wrinkles. Even if the company has a casual environment, you don’t want to look like you slept in your outfit. Above all, dress for confidence. If you feel good, others will respond you accordingly.

Give your answers short in between 1 to 2 minutes

Lengthy answers do not make the points clearly enough, whilst short answers may be likely to make too few points. No one will be prepared to listen to you for more than 3 minutes anyway. So as a general rule, your answers fit within the 1 to – 2 minutes timeframe

Form and present your answers in 3 or 4 points maximum

In order to make a well-built impact with your answers, you must ensure the message is coming out is loud and clear. By adopting a 3- or 4-point answer formation, you will help your interviewers to identify the important themes in you  and they won’t have to work so hard to get the picture.

Clear headline on each point in your answers, you can mold the interviewer in the shape you want, by answering your interested questions.

Too many people small talk around a topic without stating clearly what they are trying to say. Once you have consequent a clear structure, ensure that each section is headlined by the message that you are trying to convey. For example, if you are being asked a question such as “What are your main strengths?”, you could structure and headline your answer as follows:

• One of my key strengths is my ability to keep the team motivated, even at difficult times.
• I am  approachable and supportive person.
• Another one of my strengths is my flexibility and  punctual  attitude, and particularly my ability in to complete projects.

5. PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS:

All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2012

ALL INDIA ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO MBBS/BDS COURSE, 2012 UNDER 15% MERIT POSITIONS IN MEDICAL/DENTAL COLLEGES.

As per communication received from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India regarding looking for permission from the Hon’ble Supreme Court to allow introduction of NEET for Under Graduate Medical Courses from the academic year 2013-14 instead of 2012-13, the Central Board of Secondary Education would now conduct the All India Pre-Medical/ Pre-Dental Entrance Examination only for the 15% all India quota seats as per following schedule:

AIPMT Preliminary Examination -    1st April, 2012 (Sunday)

AIPMT Final Examination –              13th May, 2012 (Sunday)

The eligibility conditions, centre cities, syllabus, pattern, etc. will remain the similar to AIPMT 2011 Examination for which the information is already available on website www.aipmt.nic.in.

Final Examination:

The duration of paper :  3 hours.

Eligiblity Criteria :

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology

He/She has should  complet the  age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

Application Form – How To Apply

Candidates seeking admission to the one-year EPGP programme of IIM-Indore (2012-13 batch) either have to appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT 2011) or submit their GMAT score. The GMAT score should have been obtained between Jan 1, 2009 and March 31, 2012. They will have to send in a separate application form which can be downloaded from our website www.iimidr.ac.in.

The completed application form along with the processing fee should reach IIM Indore on or before 20th April, 2012. The application processing fee is Rs. 3500/- for resident Indians and U.S. $ 110/- for other nationals and non-resident Indians. Please enclose a D/D for the application-processing fee drawn in favour of IIM Indore payable at Indore along with the application.

NIMCET 2012, NIT MCA Common Entrance Test Notification

NIMCET 2012 NIT MCA Common  Entrance Exam will be held on May 20, 2012.

The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA Programme. The admission to the MCA Programme in to NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal for the year 2012-13 is be based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2012 only

Candidates should apply for NIMCET-2012 through on-line only and getting  instructions followed strictly, as given in the

website http://nimcet2012.nitw.ac.in

Candidates not complying with the instructions therein shall be summarily disqualified

On-line: On-line submission of application at website may be made by accessing the website http://nimcet2012.nitw.ac.in

After fullfilling all requiset information, electronically submitted pages of application will be generated for each and every candidate bearing his/her entire information as filled

by him/her and a unique application number will be generated which candidate can use in for future correspondence Candidates are advised to take hard copy of the electronically

submitted application after successful submission of data Candidates must keep a photocopy of the hard copy of the electronically submitted application for future use, wherever and whenever required

 Fees :

Candidates belonging to open/OBC category should pay fee  Rs1500/-

And for SC/ST category candidates should pay fee Rs 750/-

The fee should be remitted through demand draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of NIMCET-2012 payable at Warangal

 Important:

All the candidates are advised to write name, address, unique application number generated and printed on hard-copy of the application form on reverse side of the demand draft

Hard copy of the electronically submitted application form with demand draft and other enclosures should reach the Secretary, NIMCET-2012, National Institute of Technology,

Warangal-506004, Andhra Pradesh by speed post/registered post/by hand on or before 16th April, 2012

Even though the successful submission of on-line application within due date, if the hard-copy of application does not reach the Secretary, NIMCET-2012 on or before 16th April, 2012 or reaches without the requisite fee, application form will be stands cancelled automatically.

The candidates can check the receipt of their application number on the website after 26th April, 2012

Candidates whose particulars do not appear on the website may write to the Secretary, NIMCET-2012 up to 04th May, 2012 by forwarding a photocopy of the hard-copy of the application form, proof of payment of fees such Xerox copy of demand draft and two passport size photographs, proof of posting/handing over it in the office Admit cards will not be posted . Eligible candidates have to download their own admit cards.In case the admit card is not available for downloading, the candidates should write/contact the Secretary, NIMCET-2012 between 7th May, 2012 to 15th May, 2012 giving details of the

candidate’s application number and proof of fees remittance.

Entrance examination for admission in to Jawaharlal Nehru University

The university will hold entrance examination for admission to its various programmes of study arid also for combined biotechnology entrance.
