A Pile Of Kokeshi Dolls

I was full of mailman hate earlier today, when he rang the doorbell with a huge package of supplies I'd been waiting for, and wouldn't give me the package because I couldn't pay the €63 customs fee in cash. Why don't mailman here have a machine to take cards? It's 2010! They should go with the times a little, right? The fact that I didn't have to pay €63 didn't even bother me, it was a huge order from outside the EU, so I expected a big fat bill from customs. But the fact that sat at customs for a month (!!!) is quite annoying, and having the mailman in front of my door with it, and still not being able to get it, is just argh!

My mailman hate didn't last too long though, because earlier this week he brought me another package, that filled me with mailman love: My order of 100 Kokeshi charms! They are phone charms, but I will be using the charms to create necklaces and keychains.

I feel sorry for this one, for losing her hair while she was traveling! I'd better get my E-6000 out and give her her hair back.

Aren't they cuuuute? After my Matryoshka obsession (which is still going strong), I seem to have developed a Kokoshi obsession. I guess I just can't resist cute little dolls.

Do you have any obsessions? Or things you seem to get more and more of? Or do you have an "official" collection of anything? When I was little I collected Panda's, then Hanson CD's when I was a teen (you won't believe how many different versions all CD's & Singles have!), and then stationery. I saved a page of each of my sets. I stopped doing that now though, stationery is better to just write on.

These days I don't collect anything, but I do seem to be hoarding certain things like clothes, accessories, books & DVD's, and things with certain themes, like apples & matryoshka's. I also never seem to drop an obsession, I just keep getting more!

Cute Gloves from Accessorize

Having a Danish boyfriend results in spending lots of time at the airport. Most of the airport shops get kind of boring after a while,but there is one shop at Copenhagen Airport I never get tired of: Accessorize. I hardly ever get back to Holland without a little trinket from there. Often it's just stickers or deco tape (they have adorable ones!), but when they have a sale, I tend to buy more.

I got 2 pairs of gloves last month, it's still too cold for them (it's mitten weather!), but with the sky showing a little more blue these days, I hope I will be able to wear them soon.

Buttons and bows. What's not to love?

Which pair do you like most? I have a hard time deciding!

My boyfriend is such a dork. I went to bed earlier this week leaving a pile of fabric covered buttons on my desk. When I woke up in the morning, I found them like this:

He even told me he actually wanted to make blushing cheeks with the pink buttons, but it didn't look like a face then. Pink blushing cheeks? I think I have inspired his inner kawaiiness ;)

Alice in Wonderland

H&M Love

I love this night set from H&M. It reminds me of Blythe dolls, so how can I not love it?

And this cardigan! Cherry love ♥! I don't look too good in white though, so it might not suit me.

Maybe this one would be better for me. With some colorful accessories of course!

What do you think about H&M? People seem to have different opinions about their quality, etc. To me they are perfect though. I always find something I love, AND I can afford it. I would shop at little independant stores more often, as I do for accessories, but I just can't afford that. I have no complains about the quality either. Because everything is cheaper, you can buy more, or replace things faster, which I prefer over having only few expensive pieces. I love shopping too much for that!

Aaaah, it's March already, and I haven't blogged for a whole month! I never even got around to posting my January stats! So I will be combining January & February this time.

Thanks for all the sweet messages and comments about my migraines. I had a bit of a stressful month, on top of the migraines, and I got behind on everything in life. I feel a little more on top of things now though, and I seem to have the headaches under control a little more too, so I should be able to continue blogging on a daily basis, like I used to. I looked around at Stefan's flickr, and found this sketch for a tattoo he did. I love Disney movies (I have a huge collection of Disney DVD's), so obviously I am in love with this!

How do you feel about tattoos? Do you have one (or more) yourself? Do you hate them? Do you like them on other people, but are they not for you? I am in the last category. I love them, but I seem to get bored of things fast (even my pink hair was boring to me after a while!), so I think it's safer for me to just admire other peoples' pretty tattoos instead. Or maybe I should just start chewing bubblegum that comes with temporary tattoos again?

After being super lazy during the Holidays, it took me a little while to get back in the swing of things. I just felt like doing nothing all day. Luckily I managed to snap out of that, so I'm being little miss productive again these days.

I have started adding beaded bracelets to the shop. I enjoy making them a lot, so I will definitely be making more in the near future. I still have a pile of things that need to be photographed and added first though, and I need to re-make a bunch of things that sold out in December. I told myself to that first, before making even more new things. I guess my problem is that whenever I have my supplies out to make new stock, my fingers start itching and I want to make new things as well. I wish I could just make 1 of each item, and never make the same thing twice, but with the time it takes to photograph everything, edit the picture and list the items, it's just not worth it with inexpensive items. Not if I ever want to make a living out of this anyway.

Cute Stamps

When shopping for cheap presents for our dice-game on Christmas Day, I came across these cute stamps at a cheap shop we have in Holland called Action.

Aren't they adorable? They came in a package with 9 stamps and a 4-color inkpad. I think I paid less than a euro for them!

They also had these magnetic alphabet stamps, which I decided to get aswell. Alphabet stamps always come in handy, right?

I guess with all those new stamps it's time for some paper crafts again soon. ACEO's maybe?

Acupuncture Barbie

Sorry for the lack of posts this weekend. I have been feeling pretty bad migraine-wise, so I spent as little time online as possible.

I love this image by Migraine Chick. It reminds me of a dream I had some time ago, in which I did have acupuncture. When I came home I found forgotten pins all over my body. They looked like these sewing pins too, with colorful heads. Weird stuff.

Have you ever tried acupuncture or any other form of alternative treatments for any kind of illness? I tried a lot of different things, from plain weird to things that seem to help a lot of people (like acupuncture). Unfortunately it didn't help for me though. For now I feel a little done with all the treatments. I have had times where I felt there was nothing else in my life besides either having a migraine, or visiting all kinds of doctors and therapists!
