Over the weekend the Twinsburg AC Soccer U10 White Team played in their 6th game of the Soccer season. The U10 Boys (White) Team went up against the Orange Soccer Club Team. Twinsburg Beat Orange by a score of 5-3.

Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park

The boys and I made a trip to Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park in Northeast Ohio located near the Village of Hiram over the weekend. The park was very busy with lots of vistors. The park is small but it’s attraction are the rugged cliffs and ledges. The boys and I had a great time and I took the camera, of course. We will be going back!

All four of these sunrise photos where taken from the same location at the same time on 4 different days at the end of April and beginning of May. They were taken at the Parking Lot of George G. Dodge Intermediate School in Twinsburg, Ohio. All photos were taken with the iPhone using Camera+ to take and process the photos. It is amazing to see how the color of the changes.

Hot Air Balloon

From 2010 …..

I got up early this morning and went to the Balloon Classic Invitational in North Canton at the Kent State Stark Campus. This was a combination of a Balloon Launching Site and Target Site. First they launched approximately 18 Hot Air Balloons. After the launch the field became the target site for at least 50 balloons, I lost count. The pilots in the ballons tried to drop bean bags on the field as close to a “X” as possible. This was quite a site to see this many balloons approaching one location.

Twinsburg AC Soccer (Game #5 — Twinsburg White v Kenston)

Over the weekend the Twinsburg AC Soccer U10 White Team played in their 5th game of the Soccer season. The U10 Boys (White) Team went up against the Kenston Fútbol Club Team. Twinsburg lost to Kenston by a score of 3-0.

The game was played on the Gardiner Elementary School.

Super Moon

I went out tonight to shoot the moon. We had a Super Moon, according to Wikipedia a Super Moon is:

A "supermoon" is the coincidence of a full moon
(or a new moon)with the closest approach the Moon makes
to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, or perigee, leading
to the technical name for a supermoon of the perigee-syzygy
of the Earth-Moon-Sun system. The association of the Moon
with both oceanic and crustal tides has led to claims that
the supermoon phenomenon may be associated with increased
risk of events such as earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
However, the evidence of such a link is widely held to be
unconvincing.

I went to the Twinsburg Township Square which is located in the heart of Twinsburg at the corners of SR-82 and SR-91. I captured the image above of the moon rising next to the flag pole displaying the US Flag.

I found this spot using the The Photographer’s Ephemeris which is an application that helps you determine the best locations to shoot sunrise/sunset and other photos during the Golden Hour (last hour of sunlight of the day). They have clients for iOS, Android, Mac OS X and Windows. A screenshot showing the location is provided below. The blue lines show the moon and the orange/yellow lines show the sun.

Last weekend the Twinsburg AC Soccer U10 White Team played in their 4th game of the Soccer season. The U10 Boys (White) Team went up against the Solon Team. Twinsburg lost to Solon by a score of 6-5.

On Wednesday night the Twinsburg AC Soccer the U10 Boys (White) Team went up against the Riverside Team. Twinsburg beat Riverside by a score of 2-1.

Sunrise

Sunrise from the Parking Lot of George G. Dodge Intermediate School in Twinsburg, Ohio. This photo was shot on yesterday morning when i was dropping my son off for the school day.

Quoted from the School website we learn that:

George G. Dodge Intermediate School opened its doors in 1970.
It was originally opened as the Junior HIgh and was named in
honor of a custodian who was much loved and who everyone was
fond of. The school itself was built in two phases. The first
section of the school was all the classrooms, auditorium, and
cafeteria. The second section was built about 10 years later,
which added the two gyms along with locker rooms. In January
of 1999 the school name was changed to Dodge Intermediate
School as a result of the new High School opening, and R. B.
Chamberlin transitioning to the Middle School.

This photo was shot on an iPhone with Camera+. It is hard to believe what we can create with a camera phone.

The HOLLYWOOD TOWER Hotel

This is The HOLLYWOOD TOWER Hotel at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is also known as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror! This shot was taken last summer on our vacation during Star Wars Weekends and this is the backside of the tower shot from a parking lot not normally open to the public. They had this area open for the huge Star Wars Gift Shop.

This image is a single exposure HDR processed in HDR Efex Pro by Nik Software. It may be a little overdone but I like it, and that is all that matters, right? :)
