1. An Update

The Directory is going great guns, with 82 stores featured, more being added all the time and the reviews and special offers are pouring in (189 of them so far!). It’s already one of the simplest places to go to read about t-shirt stores and find special offers, and it will only get better.

2. A new look

On that note we should show you its new look, it was hard to read the old text (thanks for your feedback on that) and so now we’ve changed the background to a darkish blue, not too dissimilar to this here site.

All shirts in the Exalted By Mark store has been marked down to $5. Proceeds from the sale will be going to the Make Beats Not Beat Downs organization to help stop bullying in schools. So when you pick up a shirt you’ll be helping to spread some good karma!

While you’re there, you might also want to check out the Make Beats Not Beat Downs shirt. It’s not marked down like the rest of tees (it’s $18) but the proceeds go to the same good cause.

There’s an enormous sale going on at Stereo Panda, with prices slashed by up to 70%! No word on when this sale will end or how long it will last so be sure to grab any items that you fancy now!

Although the entire store has been marked down by at least 30%, the place to look is the Panda Stereo promo section - you’ll find the best deals there.

If you haven’t visited this European based brand before, I’d probably have to compare them to say Johnny Cupcakes and/or Pyknic Clothing. They feature bright colors and parody themes with the occasional infusion of Japanese lettering.

International T-shirt Day, Berlin – In review

Hey gang, so I’m only a week late in getting up my report from the Open Runway event held by Spreadshirt in Berlin. What’s a week between friends though huh? Friends being a big highlight of the day itself as I got to hang out with my friends (and former colleagues) from Spreadshirt, Guillaume from LaFraise and my new friend Andy from HYA who I met in the flesh for the first time after we’ve been mailing back and forth for a good few years now. His report is also now online.

So what was the day actually like? A big success I’d say. I was concerned we wouldn’t get enough people to take some time out of their Sunday and drop by, especially press to wait at the end of the runway and give the participants that real model feeling. I needn’t have worried there was a nice crowd and plenty of journalists and press there.

So that should give you a good feel for the location. How about the 50 or so ordinary folk and local Berlin t-shirt labels that came to take part? Let’s have a lookie….

Then I’m sure you want to see the ending when everyone came back out for one last turn. So this is the one minute long cheats view of the Open Runway

I would now like to apologize for my thumbs and fingers, which dream of stardom and like to sneak into frame. Filming one handed whilst holding upright a board with your spare hand is tricky, or at least I make it tricky.

I also maxes the remainder of my SD card taking photo’s of everything, there’s tons of shots here in this handy flickr gallery.

So in conclusion it was a very fun day out in the sunshine promoting t-shirts as an art form and talking to people who also care passionately about them, or more the self-expression they offer. Which is a very fun way to spend a day so thanks to Spreadshirt for hosting it and I hope you had fun in the buildup with all the contests. Always a difficult job to promote online, as its a Sunday and Fathers Day in the US and UK I still think we did a good job of growing its reputation and next year lets see what we can think up to get the word out yet further!

Teextile’s how many shirts can you wear at once winner is?

Hands up who had fun with the t-shirt day contests? Now lets take a look at some of the winners. In this post its the Teextile “who can wear the most shirts at once contest.” They’ve now announced their top three videos and here they are.

First up its RareCabbage with 36 shirts.

Next its Tressla with 71 shirts, video got a little screwy when it was being converted so its best to watch this with the sound off.

And the winner – maycausefiesta with 76 shirts! V. impressive number of shirts and also a really great video guys. Deserved winners who will get 16 Teextile shirts. Tremendous.
