THE LONG AWAITED TLB #40

BEHIND BLUE EYES

I know I know.... I have been gone quite a while.. but hey, I'm back and that's what counts... so they say.
When I am gone, I am PAINTING. I was just recently painting a character from the book The Great Gatsby, her name, DAISY BUCHANAN, also the love and life of Mr Gatsby himself, when I realize that in my head, I picture her to be looking exactly like MISS BEHIND BLUE EYES!!!! My TLB #40

Delicate yet strong and stunning, innocent yet a killer (to the eyes)... And the style vintage casual, old for her years with knitted cardigans, fur and long-sleeved shirts. But pretty and tough with leathers and skirts. Very feminine, very vintage. Hiding who you are doesn't mean you're scared, it just means you're stronger than most.

I admit, she hardly smiles, but there is something restless with her postures and where she stares at we may never know. but the outcome of all her photographs are perfect to everyone's discriminating eyes. She stand out but does not overcome.

ISABELLA has SO MANY professional looking photographs like they were cut out from a magazine, but it was hard to pick which one to use because I didn't want you all to see her all made up for the camera. I wanted you all to see her, real, classic simple and beautiful. Again.....REAL.

Yes she looks a little like Liv Tyler, but I think ISABELLA'S EYES are much more powerful. And the sense of style... hmmm.. I think more vintage too!

There was one picture of Miss Isabella that I found and I was ready to illustrate it because I thought it was one of the most beautiful inspiration in a blog. I didn't know she was MY NEXT TLB! I didn't know.. What a coincidence! Here is the pic:

To Isabella: About the illustrations. I know I have promised you an illustration of this photo, and I will hold my promise.. I am apologizing it is taking me a while and i might need more time..

you see I am in the middle of my painting mood.... I can not explain it.. There are weeks or months that i do not do anything but paint... there are also weeks and months that I only stay online blog and illustrate... And I can not mix and match or it will ruin my state... sorry for those who can not understand this.. It's just me... :(

I KNOW I KNOW I AM SO FAR BEHIND!!!! BUT I'LL TELL YOU IN A BIT WHY. FIRST I AM GOING TO INTRODUCE YOU TO ONE OF THE GREEK GODDESS TRUE TO THOSE WORDS!

TLB # 38 KONSTANTINA TZAGARAKI

HERE SHE WEARS ZARA TANK AND CHLOE GORGEOUS GOLDEN SHORTS!

YUP, I found MISS KONSTANTINA in lookbook. She just stood out. STOOD OUT like a red rose in a field of tiny, white daisies. Aside from the fact that she is from Greece too, she has this unique and strong beauty with a very fierce stare in her eyes that penetrates your mind like a blunt knife.

You'll know she was born to rule like a Greek goddess. But mind you, if you look closely enough, she has the sweetest smile I have seen on someone. The contrast of her sweet smile along her naughty eyes are incredibly stunning, I wish I could pull off a look like that too! :)
I also wanted to point out that this picture above is so perfectly colour-coordinated, it couldn't have been by chance. Flowers to the shirt, wall to the shorts and wooden window to the bag! IT IS AN AMAZING PHOTO! Not only that, here she also gives us her signature look and hairstyle. Signature pose too; that would be her holding on the tip of her pony tail. It is so her! It is so KONSTANTINA!!

Another shock of colour to the background on this picture! A sudden pink on a gray pavement! OH WAIT A TICK!!! IS THAT ON ATHENS? It kinda looks familiar. I think I have parked on this street and hit that huge garbage bin on the right... hmmmmm... Got to ask her where this is. She looks like a doll here don't you think? A goddess in PINK! Nice!!!!

p.s. Sorry for the delay of post. I had a short vacation and when I got back, we had to move to the new house we are building..... then...... I had to wait for the internet connection. Sorry again for the delay. I will also have to start painting again soon since I am hoping to have another exhibition this year.

INTRODUCING TLB#37.. A BABY FACE OVERFLOWING WITH FRESH VINTAGE BEAUTY.

Now this ladies and gentlemen is what you call FLAWLESS. Am I right or am i right?
This is why she is in my blog. This face right here is why she is one of the 100 TLB. A vintage look that will never fade. Everyone grows old and everyone changes. From smooth to wrinkles, from perky to saggy, from shiny to grey, but if you possess natural glowing beauty inside and out and YOU OWN IT... THAT will last you a lifetime of gorgeous-ness. :)

CRISTINA has such a romantic look not only to her stunning angelic face but all the way to her choice of fashion. It is young, girly, flirty, fun and ROMANTIC! A look that is innocent yet innocent in this case is something to kill for! Just look at those boots! I would kill for them! :)
With Cristina's set of eyes it is perfect to be brunette, they stand out like a "chocolate drop on a wedding cake"!

I am sorry that it is taking me time to post new... POSTS! :) I will be launching a line of bags. TLB bags.. It might take time but I am sure they will all be mind blowing! :) They will all be designed with hand drawn illustrations. I hope that when I pull this off, it will be a start to another dream come true for me!

MISS NADJA SEALE

I sometimes think I keep talking without anything really important to say. But when I blog about a TLB lady, be sure I REALLY DO HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY! :)
Miss Nadja is one of the most powerful looks I have seen in lookbook.nu, she shows herself not only STUNNING, but committed and driven to a goal you can clearly see through her GORGEOUS EYES. So i visited her blog. And there I found I was right. She is talented and another TLB who is not only beautiful on the outside, but beautiful on the inside too!

My heart went specially to this photo right here. How natural a look can be? WELL HERE IT IS. As true as the sun and the moon. A romantic look, with just a casual pair of shorts and a beaded blouse, perfected by the hat she held on her knee. The background is incredible, it has this cowboy feel to it that i really can't explain. I'm sure you'll all agree, this is an incredible picture of Nadja and HER FASHION SENSE.

I couldn't wait to post this feature. A stranger, just another blogger, just another girl, but a true and stunning goddess. When I saw her pics, her tiny smile.. I JUST KNEW I HAD TO WRITE ABOUT THIS STUNNING BEAUTY. And when she replied to me and I got to see and read a little more details about her.. I FOUND OUT WHY I WAS SO DRAWN TO HER PICS AND POSES... she's from GREECE. My home away from home..

From the very beginning, I know being in TLB is something I would want my girls to be proud of. I am very picky... THERE ARE SO MANY GORGEOUS WOMEN out there, but I pick the one that has a sign of emotional connection to me through photos.. through messages.. a little glitter in the eye that makes us all know that the beauty is natural and unique. "YOU-NIQUE" There is something there in the pictures that shows us who they really are. And how effortless beauty comes to them.
Miss HELENY is one TLB who is fun, gorgeous and approachable...
Her sense of style... I have never come across something so cozy and inviting in a look that is chic and smart.
Her hair style.. it is perfect for her! The colour red.. it is PERFECT for her.. too perfect! NOT a lot of women can pull off a hot red dress under the light of day.. maybe a little red cardigan, or a red shirt or a red bag... but the whole dress to be red???Well, you have to be HELENY to be able to pull it off! :)

Another natural beauty kept hidden. LATRENIA has both the peaceful serenity and the youthful glow in her looks. She keeps her styles true, straight forward and independently strong. The poses and stares in each photographs are unique and capturing in a way that makes you STAY.
Her photos are mostly VINTAGE inspired, but there is a mixture of fun and sophistication. I started this blog as you all know because I got bored reading about celebrities. "Have we really become so shallow to be amused by reading about other people's personal lives??" I got that from this guy in national geographic :) .. LIVE CURIOUS! :) Anyway, so I decided to write about regular women ONLINE. But not as regular as you might expect, my TLB women are not only DROP DEAD GORGEOUS but they have BRAINS AND AMAZING SENSE OF STYLE.
What makes this different? I am not writing about what they eat or where they go, I am merely listing down names that deserves recognition.

MISS LINDSEY L!

(Before I start, sorry Lindsey, hon, for taking so long to post this. I was trying to manage this blog. I had planned on changing the URL, but now I am having a change of heart! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your feature.)

A very rare kind of beauty, strong and defined, uniquely gorgeous but different in every way. This is what makes her SO ATTRACTIVE. She is not your "girl next door"..... BUT MORE LIKE YOUR MODEL NEXT DOOR!!!
LINDSEY has such powerful pair of eyes that she has no need for words! She can let her eyes do all the talking. A superb talent all models, photo-models at least, should always possess. What will you do with a pretty nose or long shiny hair if you can not communicate through your photographs?? Right?

But the amazing stares that Miss Lindsey gives us all goes straight to the bones!!!! AMAZINGLY SEDUCTIVE AND INNOCENT? We'll never really know. I wish i had those eyes..
The photo by JULIAN HUMPHRIES is so special because of the amount of VINTAGE INSPIRATION we can all get from it. Plus the romantic lace top mixing with the attitude of that pair of ripped short, short SHORTS is just incredibly BEAUTIFUL.
Her hair here is just the right colour with the right amount of wave for this lovely background. I know, I know I AM GOING INTO A WHOLE LOT OF DETAILS, but hey... I AM AN ARTIST! :)

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

I got a lot of emails and some beautiful compliments about my fashion illustrations and I appreciate all of them. So as requested I am going to be posting more of my drawings along side my COUNTDOWN for 100 TLBs.
This one above I drew a year ago, back then, and yes it feels A REALLY LONG TIME AGO, I was obsessed with KIMONO BELTS, I still love them now actually... but back then, every dress, every look I drew came with a huge belt, some tied at the back and some tied at the front.

Anyway.. All these designs are very TLB because somehow it reflects back to VINTAGE FASHION. The only twist is that the one wearing it is a modern hearted woman.

This one on the left is more modern than it looks on drawing. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT that the upper part of this chiffon, layered dress is BLACK LEATHER. This dress is more ROCK CHIC MEETS ROMANCE. It is such a contrast to put something so soft along side solid leather! WHY NOT? It would go amazingly with leather shoulder bag or ever leather clutch!

The one below, was when i was obsessed with COLLARS! HUGE COLLARS! A very sophisticated look ready FOR WORK! The pencil skirt is messily pleated, hmmmmm how do you call those skirts anyway.. sewn on the side leaving fold and wrinkles and tube pleats... oh i don't know really. I should google it....

TLB#32 AND HER CAT EYES

MISS BREANNE S.

MISS BREANNE S. A fashionista... and in my guess, she's also a shopaholic! :) She matches her outfits with who she is as a woman.... and that is a woman to be respected and to be loved. There is a romantic and a very feminine theme to all her outfits and looks. To top it off she gives us a unique vintage look somewhere where you least expect it,
you'll look at the photograph and say "VINTAGE" but when you look for why it is, you wont be able to find it so easily.. The vintage thing about MISS BREANNE is her eyes, and these cat eyes have become her signature in most if not all of her photos.

Breanne has the ELEGANT BEAUTY most women have to work hard for. Her smiles and stares are fresh and friendly like a sunny, breezy day after a week of rain and dark clouds.

In this photo, the lace cardigan so romantic and elegant is broken by the fun and the wild tiger tank top.

Not a whole lot of people will realize that this is vintage. But for me it is VINTAGE CHIC! Comfortable outgoing and sexy all at the same time..

YES YOU'VE ALL GUESSED IT. IT IS MY BIRTHDAY TODAY.
Another year added? YUP! Another line on my face? Probably! Another gray hair? Possible. So I decided to treat myself by drawing this hot-off-my-tired pencil fashion illustration for this very personal post I am now obviously typing about, well, that and of course I also treated myself with a cowboy style, tasseled and studded bag and another VINTAGE one. :)

I am 28, and I am an ARTIST. Yes I can now call myself THAT after painting and drawing for more than ten years for this reason alone "work is not art until some rich guy buys it." "a person is not an artist until his/her work has been called art"... ok so I made up the second quote.. but
makes sense right?

So 28 years, two babies, 5 dozens of paintings, about 8 pieces stolen, endless of drawings and 30 TLBs later, I AM STILL DONNA SY and I am here to stay, whether you like it or not!

SO EXITED TO INTRODUCE YOU ALL TO TLB#30 THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

MISS CAPUCINE H.

CAPUCINE is one of the youngest if not THE YOUNGEST TLB woman on this blog so far. Also second to the youngest blogger I know. In this photo though she spells the "GIRL" inside her.

From the colour of this amazing TRACTOR, to the floral print of her dress and finally to the school girl socks. Also portraying the sex-iness in her with those SEXY platforms.

She has the VINTAGE PRETTY face a fully bloomed flower can only possess. Her beauty is beyond her years, easy fooling a man she crosses path with.
This makes her STUNNINGLY SEDUCTIVE because she is UNREACHABLE!! At least FOR NOW... :)
But In this outfit she shows that she can be sophisticated, with this smile she is secretive so let's leave that at that, and with her torn heart-patterned tights she lets us know she is HERE TO HAVE FUN TOO!
Let us welcome TLB#30 in our life because we all know she can make the world a little more colourful. And when we need to escape, she can take us back to the vintage age and lets us run around in a yellow field of pink tractors. All this just by looking at her GORGEOUS photos!

I think that today is the perfect day to introduce you all to TLB#29, a true and wonderful FASHIONISTA

MISS CINDY VAN DER HEYDEN

TOPSHOP JEANS, ZARA LEATHER JACKET AND H&M HEELS

The closest FASHION STYLE to mine would be that of MISS CINDY... a lot of black, animal printed bags or accessories, and looks that are emphasized on gorgeous shoes!

There is one thing that stood out from this beautiful lady, the thing that catches the eye and in a way she was worked and owned it... the folding or cutting of shorts to show the pockets underneath. I have never been a fan of that trend, but I must say, IF IT LOOKS GOOD... OWN IT!!! AND that's exactly what she did!

TOPSHOP BOOTS AND LEGGINGS, SUPERTRASH CARDIGAN.

A super gorgeous LADY like Cindy looks absolutely sweet and vintage-ly angelic in a way every woman should be, but the name "come over to the dark side.. we have candy" for her BLOG is the "puzzling twist" or the "naughty and sexy by nature" who gets away with a powerful stare and sophisticated heels THAT every woman should also possess.

The look here on the left is placed in such a perfect background for a vintage 50's look. It is just... what;s the word.. JUST VINTAGE! From the print on her cardigan to the black and white finish of the photograph. Trully beautiful.

I know with MISS CINDY, I just have to share a style that would be ABSOLUTELY different! But would definitely DO WONDERS for her beautiful face, keeping the messy hair above.

I introduce you all to TLB#28, the naturally born beautiful

MISS KASIA G.

I don't think there such thing as "practical fashion". And this is way too far from practical. THIS fashion of MISS KASIA G. is like a fairy tale with a twist of CHIC! A perfect photo and one of my favorites amongst so many others because of its simple background, because of its black leather jacket and the blackness of the boots playing all together on the main foundation of this gorgeous photo.....the colourful dress.

Miss Kasia has a vintage feel to her beauty. The perfect lips for a very, VERY pink lipstick. The perfect hair to go crazy with.. but I personally think she looks best with it straightened and loose. And eyes that stamps and sticks and stays in your head. Uniquely beautiful in a way that when you see her for two seconds on a street walking by, you'll remember her, without knowing her, when you next see her after ten years. hmmm did that make sense? I think you all know what I mean.

Miss Kasia can pull it off with a pajama and high heels, she is gorgeous and people are bound to be attracted to her beauty and not to what she wearing. Although those shoes are hot darling!! :)

INTRODUCING THE PERFECT FACE FOR THE WORD "GORGEOUS"... TLB#27

MISS MARIT VAN DEN BERG

For me there is a HUGE difference between the words "pretty", "beautiful", "gorgeous", "stunning". etc..
and I base my personal opinion on the faces, the smiles and the emotional movement of the photos.This one right here, MISS MARIT, is a picture that should be right next to the word "GORGEOUS" in any dictionary.

Fashion style would probably be casually FEMININE. This lady OBVIOUSLY does not even try, she is effortless and comes out looking like she has spent ten hours in front of the mirror. No.. as we can all see, she can get up in the morning, slap on some sunscreen and she's ready to go... I KNOW... IT IS NOT FAIR!!! While most of us, we have to blow dry, iron and tame our hair, put on some foundation, cover ups, and god knows what else.. for me that is.. :)

MARIT V. has added a whole new meaning to the word CASUAL. She has redefined ROCK AND ROLL FASHION CHIC. On this photo, with a pair of shorts and a shirt, she reminds us that we don't have to be in heels to look sexy and beautiful. We don't have to be in an evening dress to capture a serene smile like that and feel gorgeous inside out.
The background for this photo is a contrast to her beauty and the vintage feel to it all. It is like putting a beautiful flower on a field of broken glass..

Again I GIVE YOU TLB#27 MISS MARIT V. a golden ace!

Miss EFFORTLESS COOL is one of the most puzzling human being I have seen in photos.

She has this FREEDOM in her smiles and postures.... The happiest most restless blogger I have encountered.
When you visit a blog, it is like reading in a quiet room, the only noise you'll hear is the background behind and around you.... But when you go to MISS SAHRA, when you see her face, when you see her laughing, you'll almost feel like laughing too. You'll leave the blog with a memory of the loudness of the music but what music? The loudness of her laughs, but what laughs? And the movements of her walking or dancing, but how? It never happened.. That's the secret to good blogs or anything you do for passion, you put your emotions and feelings and heart into it and people will see it too... How do I start a story about someone whose story has been told and written maybe a million times before? How do I find words good enough for the perfect justice to a powerful character online? Miss Tricia has become one of the leading if not the leader blogger in The Philippines. And that, gentlemen, is a story that will make your balls shrink down to the size of raisins! :) And ladies, be prepared with your polish removers because you'll be biting your nails reading this post. I know I am!

Before I started blogging this blog, which was what? A month ago? I never knew anything about blogging, about other blogs, about who is what in blogging and what they are blogging about! NADA!!!! Then out of curiosity, BOREDOM PERHAPS, I went looking for inspirations in LOOKBOOK.NU, found gorgeous YET LIMITED talented beauties. All were incredibly beautiful, but I am picky in a way of how the photographs speak to me individually. YES, THAT IS WEIRD, but hey, I am an artist!

A week ago, I saw TRICIA and I asked her to be one of the 100 TLB on this blog, she had the beauty, she had the sweet smile and the angelic look with a twist that is almost like A DOLL!!! By the way she is also known as "slumberdoll". God knows what it means, but I'm guessing it has a lot to do with her poses, looking like she is hanged lazily like a lifeless doll FILLED WITH LIFE........................Let it simmer, you'll get it in a minute or two........................
I wanted to write about her fashion style, about how she does indeed dresses like a doll but CHIC and fashionable. So she agreed. And that was when I checked her tumblr tricia will go places and freaked out when I saw the page views!
She might have the eyes and the smile of a beautiful porcelain doll, but according to my opinion and a BEAUTIFUL OPINION AT THAT, she is full of life and pouring with personality. Her elegant look intimidates those casual days but she is a darling ready to capture your heart everyday.

MISS SARAH WHITNEY

Tall, dark haired, light and glittering blue eyes, STUNNING in every possible way and in every possible angle. BUT GIRL, DON'T STEP ON YOUR GORGEOUS SHOES LIKE THAT!!!! :)

Miss SARAH is not your average BOHO-CHIC fashionista, she has a twist if you haven't yet figured it out! It's more on BOHO-SEXY-CHIC.. Her poses are dynamic and dramatic to the eye, but the flow of her outfits clearly tell us she's a woman who means BUSINESS!! The see-through stockings and the black, high heeled boots is the twist to this story. And NO, I personally believe that there could not have been a better background for this look. From her positioning, to her stare, to the perfect amount of accessories AND even to the growing little weed on the floor are just the most amazing details I have seen in a photograph.

INTRODUCING TLB#23
MISS KC ERRER (FASHION ICE)

Ok so I am not sure what her real name is, but don't worry I'll find out.
Let's call her MISS FASHION ICE! For a couple of reasons, this name she has owned and the name has become her.

Fashion has always been and will always be as cold as ice, you have to suffer to be in fashion, wearing extremely high heels, not because it's comfortable, but because it LOOKS DAMN GOOD... trying hard to avoid that chocolate cake, not for health but just to have a flat tummy for that gorgeous dress waiting in the closet! YES I KNOW! And don't get me started on extremely, ridiculously expensive fashion brands, you'll work your asses off not for the future, but for HERMES BAGS! THAT IS FASHION ICE TO ME.
I know it doesn't have to be this way but I look around and looks what is on the magazine, it is never enough to be just good looking, you have to be expensive looking too, which is CRAP I know, but don't tell me you don't also try! :)

Let's get back on Miss FASHION ICE. I have chosen her to be one of our TLB women because of her true passion for fashion and how it is written all over her beautiful face and powerful stare. She has eyes on fashion and she isn't letting go! She not only has the passion for it, she has the talent to go about it. I know there are lots that are just trying TOO HARD to be in style, and it ends up in a bubble of mess. Fashion Ice is unique, she is NATURAL and she goes straight to the point, effortlessly and WITH STYLE!
