Hey guys

My name is Daniel. I 'm on my second 4th gen maxima. Currently own a 1995 maxima se 5spd,metallic grey paint with flakes, short shifter, lowered on eibach springs, dual exhaust pipes. Really enjoying working on the maxima and gaining great info from the memebers of this great site.

It was such a gorgeous day today that I just said what the hell, and changed into my snow wheels, spraying the wheel wells generously with Rubberized Rockerguard (sprayed my face accidentally, doh!), as well as removing both the front and rear Stillen lips. Got the parking light working again. It was the fuse. Looks like when I put in one of blubs in wrong and it blew the fuse. Still no reverse lights though. So looks like I'll have to take out the reverse switch out of my other maxima.

i can tell you from listening to that noise that a bottom rod bearing or more is toast. Trust me!
I would just look for a used motor. No oil will fix that

The sanded & polished lens made a night and day difference in light output and cutoff. It makes the car look WAY cleaner too.

I believe Will is referring to the small Tim Hortons coffee cup that is sitting on top of the red tool box in the background.

Another product I would recommend using is Redline SI-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner. I have used it & have read nothing but good reviews on the internet. There have been comments of it being superior to BG44k because of it's make up. You can find it at Canadian Tire or Parts Source. Not sure where else.

The 2k3 gxe did 600+ and that's with my driving style... def. needs some TLC.. that sounds like the typical "max got old and is burning gas like a V10" conundrum...

does the 96 use a distributer? then you just have to manually twist it to get the advance, use a timing light to confirm it.
