And I’m sure this won’t be the last time we see Coal’s Claws of Frustration.

New TWC incentive! An old character from early story concepts that was eventually scrapped. He was kinda neat, but didn’t really fit with the world or the story as it changed later. Originally TMK’s story was ridiculously complicated and involved like nine or ten other side characters besides Coal and Loki. After pondering and asking friends for advice, I streamlined the story. Thank goodness too, I can barely manage the five main protagonists I have, let alone ten. I always go overboard the first time I write something up. D:

Happy March everyone! Here’s hoping that “out like a lamb” bit comes sooner than later. I desperately can’t wait for spring.

First link: Hanna Is Not A Boy’s Name. I actually doubt anyone who spends any time looking at awesome webcomics hasn’t seen this, but in case you haven’t, you should. I love the way Tessa Stone, the artist, incorporates textures, edgy designs, creative layouts, and imaginative type treatment all into one mind-blowing piece of storytelling. There is swearing and zombies and vampires, and normally I’m not into paranormal stuff, but she balances that with diverse characters and never-saw-it-coming stories, so I’m hooked forever. Check it out!

Coal is nothing if not determined. Good thing being dead means never getting tired.

New TWC incentive! One of the earliest drawings of Coal and Hedda (who shows up in a few chapters). You can see I’ve been doodling these guys for a couple years now! Where does the time go?

Those trees took FOREVER to draw. Also Jor is not a forthcoming snake.

TWC incentive this week is a closeup of the trees because it took me like HALF AN HOUR to draw just those things. I guess I could have copy/pasted some of them but…I didn’t want to. I wanted them to interlock, and copy/pasting wouldn’t have done so well, I think.
