WHO IS Darryn Yates?

I help people who are not fully happy with their current situation in life. I help them do the type of life reset that puts priorities in order and it puts the following in the light: passions, talents, purpose, calling, happiness, legacy. 

Originally from the Midwest, I moved to southern California to start building my brand as an entertainer. I lived my dreams in music. I traveled overseas, toured the US, recorded CDs, did music videos including one with actress Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls, Party of 5), and opened for several national acts.
After living in Los Angeles for 10+ years and a brief time living in Nashville TN when I signed a small record deal, I ended up moving back to my hometown area of St. Louis MO. I was on my way to live in New York City, but that never happened as I met my wife. We started a family and I started doing a local TV show and an edgy morning-drive radio show.

After an incredible journey in media & entertainment, I decided it was time to "grow up" and get a "real job". So I started working in the corporate world. I ended up getting fired around 15-20 times and I hit rock bottom in March of 2019. I was near broke and absolutely miserable.
 
This dark place ended up helping me see the light. I soul-searched and researched like never before. I realized that my journey was not over, it was actually just the foundation of a bigger dream I didn’t realize I was being groomed for. Not only did I discover ways to monetize my experience & passion to be happier, but my new life mission was to help as many others as I possibly could get out of the dark places that hold people back from their purpose, their true calling, and genuine authentic happiness.

I have just spent the last 2 hours weeping over the unexpected loss of a true lifelong brother and in my brokenness I picked up my phone and saw a post from Darryn Yates. He was describing  how he used a dark place to be a springboard to be the best version of himself he could possibly be. I instantly felt some of the brokenness dissipate and my tears became still and dry. My soul became calm, I messaged him and I thanked him for writing this.

When Darryn started helping me, I was at my rock bottom. I had lost my son to suicide and a best friend to a drug overdose. I was going through a divorce and out of work. One of my dreams since I was a young boy with my denim design Walmart record player and a small stack of 45's was to be a radio DJ. I put that dream on  the back-burner for years. I met Darryn Yates and he told me he had an opportunity for me if I wanted to see if I had what it took to live that dream. He has a unique way of breaking through barriers and insecurities. Darryn is the king of positive endeavors. I have known him since high school. He has  been a genuine friend and has taken me along on many of his music, radio/TV, and podcast journeys. The bonafide entertainer he is, Darryn always looks for ways to inspire people and show them how much he appreciates them. I have seen him climb the mountain and reach heights that made me believe everything he used to tell me.

I was encouraged by him to pursue my passion for art. I needed his inspiration, I needed to believe. I needed to be able to say that everything I wanted to do, I could do.
