GTA IV San Andreas is an import mod for GTA IV, which aims to recreate the whole of San Andreas in the newer Rage engine that built IV's Liberty City.

If you're a huge fan of everything Grand Theft Auto IV, you're going to love GTA IV San Andreas. It aims to port the epic Grand Theft Auto San Andreas game to the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (RAGE).

Dracula: Origin Pcgame Free Download

There was a time when point & click games were really popular, but now it seems that they're not that trendy anymore. However there are companies like Frogwares that still believe in this genre, and keep on publishing conversational adventures.

This is the case of Dracula: Origin, a vampire game that follows the traditional point & click pattern and presents you with a truly Gothic adventure full of mystery, romance and terror, in a gloomy environment.

Though I personally don't enjoy this kind of games that much, I must admit Dracula: Origin looks pretty impressive. The game stands out for its highly detailed graphics in the design of characters and especially in the recreation of environments. The sense of realism makes the game experience even more pleasant and rewarding.

The story is also quite an interesting one. You play the role of Van Helsing, the famous scientific whose main aim in life is to destroy the so called Prince of Darkness. Your objectives will then be exploring all the locations you visit, talk to other characters, gather different objects and try to get hints from them all that could take you to Dracula. Like in similar adventures, gameplay is basically reduced to using your mouse to move your character, use objects in your inventory, talk to other people and other actions.

Dracula: Origin will surely please fans of this genre. However it also requires a lot of patience, so if you're not really into conversational adventures maybe you should look elsewhere.

FIFA 11 Pcgame Free Download

FIFA 11 is the latest installment of EA’s popular series of soccer games. It includes a number of great improvements on FIFA 10 that make it a ridiculously realistic simulation of the real thing.

Having been blown away by the previous version of FIFA, we found it hard to imagine how EA could possibly improve its slick soccer sim. However, after a few matches of this demo version it’s clear that the changes aren’t merely cosmetic.

Refined gameplay

The enhancements to the gameplay in FIFA 11 make it feel a lot more like real football. The new Personality+ system means that players move and act as they do in real life. This means, for example, that Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney will charge around after the ball when he’s not in possession; while his strike partner Dimitar Berbatov is more content to stand around waiting for something to happen!

Other tweaks to the AI help to make FIFA 11 the most enjoyable version to-date. For instance, on crosses, it’s now normal to see more than one player coming up for the ball. You’ll also notice that the players are a bit faster than they were in FIFA 10.

Another important change in FIFA 11 is the ability to control the goalkeeper, which feels very natural and adds an extra element to the gameplay.

Handballs are introduced for the first time in FIFA 11. When a defender is positioned in the line of a shot he may stick out his hand to block it. The frequency of handballs is a little higher than it would be in real life, but you can disable them, or define that they don’t occur in penalty situations.

FIFA 11 also features a more refined passing system, giving you more control over ball distribution. The Pro Passing feature lets you measure passes more precisely by weighting them. The repertoire of passes has been beefed up too, and you can now perform swerve passes, flicks, driven lobs and apply backspin to balls.

One of the changes we didn’t like is the new penalty kick system, which is based around a power-bar. Stopping the pointer in the right place is very difficult because it takes a while to respond to your button press. This makes scoring penalties in FIFA 11 a difficult thing to do.

Graphical tweaks

At first glance, FIFA 11’s graphics don’t look that different to the ones in the last version. Once you start seeing replays or close-ups, however, you realize that player likenesses are now more realistic. EA modeled player faces using photographs, and facial expressions are now more varied and change according to the player.

Another neat addition to FIFA 11 is the ability to upload your own audio for use within the game. You can record your own chants, add audio files of actual team chants, and define the music that a team runs out to.

Game modes

FIFA 11 is still stacked with lots of game modes, including officially licensed leagues, exhibitions, training and Be a Pro. The one significant change this time out is the rehashing of the Manager mode, which is now known as Career mode, and integrates with Be a Pro. This is now more involved in that you start out as a player before becoming a player coach and eventually a fully-fledged manager.

These interesting new features, combined with super intelligent gameplay, make FIFA 11 the quintessential soccer sim.

Moto Race Challenge 08 PCgame Free Download

It's usually difficult to find high-quality free racing games, but sometimes you do find exceptions to this rule like Moto Race Challenge. This game doesn't offer the official championship bikes or pilots, but at least you can play it absolutely for free.

Graphics are better than we expected, with good response to controls. The motorbike is controlled just with the cursor keys, but don't let this apparent simplicity fool you: it takes some time and practice to master it, especially when accelerating and braking.

You can play offline as much as you want, but if you'd like to join an official race or championship, then you must register as user (it's free). However, bear in mind that you'll have to pass the qualifying series to be allowed to join the race.

Mafia II pcgame free download

Mafia II is the gritty mob sequel to 2002 original, allowing games to enter the violent wold of the American mob in the 1950s.

Eight years is a long time, and Grand Theft Auto IV has taken the crown as the best serious sandbox adventure in town. Starting Mafia II, it's difficult not to compare the game's Empire Bay with Liberty City, but thankfully the 1950s buzz of this game makes it feel totally different.

Attention to detail is impressive, and the look and sounds of the city really evoke the 50s. The graphics in Mafia II are good, although the face modeling isn't the best we've seen. The story is violent, and the dialog is full of adult language. That's not a problem, but it sometimes feels too much.

The basic driving around and doing missions isn't anything new, but Mafia II is a little different to the competition. The police can be bribed, and if you start a fight you go into a kind of fight mode which works quite well.

While the city in Mafia II is quite bustling, the pedestrians aren't as realistic as in GTA IV. They don't seem to react to their surroundings much, and there is too much repetition in the models.

The Mafia II shows part of an impressive sandbox game, but it doesn't live up to the standards set by Rockstar Games

For all fight lovers, here’s the Street Fighter 2 Plus Champion Edition of the most famous fighting game of all time, now available for Windows.

While other editions of Street Fighter have often required extra emulators to run, as well as losing some of the feel of the original game, this one retains all the original gameplay and graphics, and all from just one file. You can even add a 'scan lines' effect by pressing Alt-4 or selecting the option in the Video menu.

With the Street Fighter 2 Plus Champion Edition you can choose between the eight original characters plus the four special ones you meet towards the end of your adventure: Balrog, Sagat, Vega and M. Bison. There are some mistakes here with the names as the Spanish fighter is Vega, the boxer Balrog and the captain M. Bison, but in this Street Fighter 2 Plus Champion Edition emulation, the names are all mixed-up.

To set the keys you prefer in order to play, go to the Option > Set Config > Controllers menu; at this point, choose '6btn Pad' in the Port1 line and click Define. Now press the keys you would like to use to jump, move right, left, punch and kick by following the direction you see at the bottom of the frame. Need For Speed World is the new online version of the extremely popular racing game franchise. It's a massively multiplayer open world game, with RPG-like leveling up.

In its beta phase, Need For Speed World has some bugs to iron out, and there's a limit of level ten in terms of player experience. In the final release, players who wish to move further up the rankings will have to pay. There's still lots to do and many hours of racing ahead of anyone starting at lowly level one though!

Choose a car from a small range of not very exciting cars to start. Then roam the huge Need For Speed World looking for races, which can be multi or single player, and get into chases with the cops. Evading the police and ranking in races gives you experience points and money, which in turn unlock better cars that you can buy in the Need For Speed World showroom.

Your cars can be modified with stickers, paint and decals, and power-ups can be chosen and purchased with in game money. Need For Speed World seems pretty stable, even with loads of players online. When you enter the open world you don't crash into other players, only the environment and other traffic. Online players can only push you around if you enter a race. The cars in Need For Speed World have the forgiving, arcade style handling that makes the franchise such fun to play.

There is online chat alongside the racing, and you can add friends and meet up to race them. Graphically Need For Speed World is ok, but looks a few years old. However, this means you don't need a super computer to play the game!

Need For Speed World is an impressive massively multiplayer online racing game, and although it still has some glitches it's really playable.

Urban Terror pcgame free download

Originally a Quake 3 Mod, Urban Terror now works as a standalone online multiplayer first person shooter. Forget boring realism, this is all about fun (and large scale killing).

It's best to start with the tutorial, a short video that takes you through the controls. They are fairly standard, but there are nice abilities like wall jumps, strafe-jumping and crouching power-slides. The graphics are obviously a bit dated, but the advantage of that is the game will run perfectly smoothly on all but the oldest systems.

Finding a game is still pretty easy, you just choose from the list of hosted games and join one. Most seem to play either team deathmatch, which is popular as it's just a timed free for all, with unlimited lives, or team survival, where each player only has one life and the objective is to take out the opposing team. They are good examples of how rules change the game - deathmatch is fast and furious, while survival is a bit more tense. The exaggerated physics make for amusing games, and even as a rookie you'll soon be gleefully taking out other players with ease.

There's a good choice of arms, allowing you to play in the style you want, from up close and personal with automatic rifles to sneaky sniping or grenade launching brute force. If there's a negative in all of this it's that there are always times when you'll feel you've been unfairly killed - usually by a skilled sniper - but you'll be back in the action before you feel any major resentment.

Despite its aging engine, Urban Terror is still a great multiplayer shooter and you'll be hard pressed to find more online over the top fun for free.

Long recognized as the king of chess games, Chessmaster has been through many iterations through the years. With previous versions, Ubisoft had hit the nail on the head in terms of game variety and learning tools.

What the tenth incarnation brings to the table is a lick of paint and some extra lessons, because you never can get enough of chess!

Anyone that has played either the 8000 or 9000 versions will immediately notice how much better the design is, with solid colors that are easy on the eye and finally a true 3D board that you can rotate exactly as you want to get the best angle for viewing all the pieces. The multiple windows still exist but for some reason don’t seem to be as intrusive as before. The structure of the lessons that make up such a large part of the appeal for the game is unchanged, which is probably for the best. Why try to fix something that isn’t broken?

Another superior aspect of Chessmaster is the range of difficulty levels that are available. Each one is represented by a character, with individual attributes and game styles. With over two hundred opponents to choose from, absolutely everyone is catered for and as you play tournaments and individually rated games, you build up a database of statistics letting you check out how many times you’ve played and beaten particular characters and also the evolution of your rating as you improve. If players feel that they have hit a wall in terms of progress, then they can turn to the academy section, which is packed with basic, intermediate, and advanced lessons that can then be backed up with follow-on drills and quizzes. The depth of these lessons is very impressive although in some cases you might need an entire afternoon to complete a topic at one sitting.

As you'd probably expect, more boards have been thrown in, although most will rarely stray from the default look. The developer has also included a few animated boards which should keep the kids happy, even if they don’t know what chess is! As such Chessmaster 10th Edition is a chess game that you can dip in to now and again or into which you can become emerged and involved in the many varying aspects of play. Those with CM 9000 might not consider the aesthetic difference to be worth forking out for, but with this version being regarded as the complete chess package, it won’t need to be replaced for many years to come.

It’s not often that Microsoft gets it exactly right but this is one product which has received almost unanimous praise from developers and game players. Simulator X is Microsoft’s much improved follow-up to Flight Simulator 2004. Compared to X-Plane, it’s certainly got far more graphical detail, presentation and playability and gets very close to the real thing.

Firstly, be warned that this is a big download – 636.2MB to be exact. Once the five minute installation is complete, you’re presented with three choices – dropping flour on targets, introductory test flight or Caribbean landing. The first involves a simple bit of target practice whilst the others involve getting to grips with the basic controls and mastering landings.

Whichever you choose, you can take control of anything from ultra-lights to Cessnas, commercial airliners and even helicopters. However, to make it more interesting, Simulator X also features 50 different missions to stop you falling asleep at the controls. The missions come as an urgent update from Air Traffic Control and can be fun or serious. Due to a runway closure, you may be asked to land the plane on top of a moving bus or, due to an explosion, you might get asked to rescue workers on an oil ring before they burn alive. Other missions include search and rescue, “Area 51” missions and even one where you have to pick-up film-stars.

In the full version, there are 24,000 airports from around the world to choose from and chances are you’ll be able to fly from your local airport. The realism is impressive, including fuel trucks, luggage belts and walkways being extended from the craft to the airport. If you should get too close to the ground (i.e. crash land), you’re treated to the sight of wildlife running around the fields and amongst the wreckage, proving that Microsoft really have gone to extremes in trying to recreate a virtual world. They even claim to have mapped the accurate positions of the stars according to location and time of year. You can also fly according to the current weather conditions in certain zones by connecting to an online server. Otherwise, you can set the weather according to your wishes to see how the plane handles in a storm or blizzard.

For those that want the real deal, options include a full pre-flight briefing where you discuss the flight conditions, weather predictions and other factors that might affect your flight. If you want a bit of drama, you can also pre-program the plane to malfunction during the flight. See how your co-pilot reacts when he realises that the undercarriage is either jammed or dropped off somewhere over Denver.

Another unique feature in the full version is the possibility to add another person to the cockpit. If you have a friend connected to the net, they can log on and come along for the ride or guide you down as Air Traffic Control.

In comparison to many other simulators such as X-Plane, this simulator is a joy because of many fun additions and the option to choose the difficulty of the flight mode. The only major problem is that its very heavy on resources and I had trouble running this alongside various other apps. This can be solved by reducing the frame-rate in the options menu but the game doesn’t run quite as seamlessly as a result.

FIFA Online is a free web-based version of the popular soccer simulator. The game allows you to play matches against computer AI or take on real life players over the internet.

Considering the amount of money EA must make from FIFA 10, it's amazing that the games publisher has chosen to release FIFA Online as a free game. It's not as fully fledged as the latest incarnation, and graphically it's more similar to FIFA 08. Not that we're complaining though!

FIFA Online includes a multitude of different game modes. You pick your favorite team from a large selection of leagues and clubs (all with real life player data) then you must lead that side to glory. You can play single-player leagues, online tournaments with strangers, friendlies against friends, and even choose to play in the FIFA World Cup 2010 tournament.

FIFA Online has a lot of depth to it. There's a fairly detailed management mode in which you must set formations, negotiate contracts, deal with player injuries and suspensions, and more.

In it for the money

Of course, EA didn't make FIFA Online as a goodwill gesture to players. It made it to make money. Players are invited to buy tokens that are used for everything from unlocking certain game modes to helping a player to recover quicker from an injury.

Of course, the polished 3D graphics, full voice commentary and the sheer size of FIFA Online take its toll in terms of system requirements. You'll need a decent processor (upwards of 1.8GHz, ideally) and a fast internet connection if you want to avoid lags and frame rate.

It's still in beta stage, yet FIFA Online already shows signs of ushering in an exciting new generation of football games.

Sonic Games is a set of arcade games with the famous blue hedgehog as protagonist. From the main program's page you can select among 7 games listed in the game menu. The titles sound exciting: Sonic 3D Snowboarding, Sonic Character Designer, Sonic Lost in Mario World, Sonic Pacman, Sonic Tetris, Sonica and Ultimate Sonic.

The application lacks of basic functions, like pause, but at least the game's frame is resizable. The idea of a collection of Sonic games is really nice, but it's a pity that the playability is as good in the original MegaDrive version and that the graphics are so scarce. They would probably be still enjoyable on mobile devices, but on Windows, the experience ends up being pretty boring.

If you are a fan of Sonic, you might want to have this set of games for Windows, but mainly for collection purposes rather than to play with them as both graphics and playability are pretty poor.
