Wave Attack 2 - Acid Reign is a free Ableton Live pack from Togeo Studios. This is the second pack of the Wave Attack series based on single-cycle waveforms. Acid Reign consists of fifty Live Simpler devices grouped into instrument racks with effects.

Biting, searing leads and basses with a unique sound, this live pack provides the tools to punch up your next mix. The single-cycle waveforms allow for a very small file size but a very large sound.

Togeo Studios - In with the new.

Togeo Music is up on its own site now, we have our Newlook by Sum-1 here at Togeo Studios and a new free Live pack for Ableton is about ready to be released. The Togeo netlabel is coming along pretty good and is basicaly fully functional and the music is free to download at Togeo Music. Our new theme here at the Studio is getting the finishing touches put on it by Tobias and is also about done. If anyone notices anything in particular please let us know in the forum and we will get right on it.

Well with the new year underway its about time to release another free download. Wave Attack II - Acid Reign is a free Ableton Live pack featuring fifty Simpler instrument racks of searing acid synth style sounds. The second pack to the Wave Attack series should be ready and available for download sometime in the middle of the week.

We hope everyone likes the changes we are making and hope the downtime did not cause anyone any problems, if so we sincerly appologize. We have plans to expand the community side of Togeo Studios by putting more emphasis on music production techniques through tutorials and more interactivity within the forum. We are looking forward to a great new year and of course lots of new free music.

Togeo Music - We are Moving!

The netlabel Togeo Music will be moving to its own domain after the New Year. We felt that the free music downloads deserved their own site and will help to unclutter somewhat the navigation for both the Studio and the netlabel. There will be a short crossover period where all links to Togeo Music on the studio site will remain accessable to older bookmarks and search engines.

The new Togeo Music site will be located here.

We should have it up and running in the first week of 2009. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause and please bear with us during the initial phase of the transition. Sum-1 has a double cd sized release (18 tracks, extra cover and concept art) called Glumfrex. He is just waiting for the site to get up to release it with the Grand opening so keep an eye on Togeo Music for that one really soon.

If anyone has any suggestions for either Togeo Studios or the new Music site please feel free to let us know in the forum or by taking the Site Survey.

Wave Attack I - Ableton Live Pack

Togeo Studios - Wave Attack I

Wave Attack One is a free Ableton Live pack from Togeo Studios. This is the first part of an upcoming series of Live Simpler instruments using single-cycle waveforms. Wave Attack 1 contains fifty instruments in three categories:

Arppegiated - Arp Sequences
Deep Fried - Screaming Saturated Leads
ModULater - Thick Chorused Leads

As you will notice this Live pack is very small, only 208kb zipped. That is because of the use of the single-cycle waveforms. This allows us to use the Live Simpler device much in the way you would program a normal synthesizer. We can layer the waveforms, pitch shift, modulate and filter each in its own chain. Our only limitation in this are the limitations of the simpler device itself. We are currently building our library of waveforms and will be posting more packs of instruments created using this method in the near future.

Holidays Again

This year went by really quick at Togeo Studios, at least it seemed that way to us. We did not get everything done we wanted, but then we have had a lot of things happen in a very short time also.

The Togeo Music net label was created and we published fourteen albums since March from just three artists. Not bad huh.

The Togeo Studios download section is growing quickly with our four preset banks for Oatmeal and Crystal VST instruments. Four free modules (SST Gens, Bass, Keys and Leads) have been released for the Simple Synth Library collection for use with Ableton Live. We just released a special free Ableton Live pack called Santa Synths and we hope to have a couple more holiday gift packs up before the end of the year also.

All in all its been a pretty good year and we look forward to a great new year coming up and have a lot of ideas in the works. There will be a new site layout, lots more music, more loops, samples (drums are coming), vst synth presets and of course, more of our free Ableton Live packs.

So seasons greetings to all of you who have made it through the year with us and help the Togeo Studios community grow larger every day.

This is the best time of the year to get commercial software at a bargain price. We put our emphesis here on free software, music, plugins but if your looking to buy something for the holidays, there are quite a few discounts and group buys going on. Ableton is offering up to a 25% discount on its Live sequencer till the end of the year. Link

Lennar Digital has a group buy action up to a 43% discount going on for its Sylenth1 vst instrument plugin. A great sounding synth and this offer is also available till the 31st of December. Link

Native Instruments the makers of a slew of quality instrument and effect plugins including Kore 2, FM8, Reaktor, Absynth, Kontakt, Massive and more are offerring quite a few deals on their products. They also have a 50% upgrade special and a special on their hardware controller Audio Kontrol 1 with a free soft synth. Be sure to check out their free Kore Player while your there. Link

MHC the makers of Ambient Keys, Industrial Tones, Extreme, The Space Synth and a few others are offering a 50% discount through the end of the year. This is in addition to the 30% discount you can recieve if you buy more than one. Link

Image-Line the makers of FL Studio and DeckaDance as well as vst synths and effects have up to a 50% discount on a couple of their plugins and are throwing in a copy of Gross Beat time and scratch effect plugin. Link

Subvulture on Jamendo

Subvulture is a self described avant garde musician, and we agree, who hails from Ashville in the music rich mountains of North Carolina. He has a wealth of freely downloadable CC music available on Jamendo for those looking for something a little different.

We have been listening a lot to Subvultures unique progressive style lately. His music ranges from dark ambiant scapes to industrial metal noise and his mixes are as inovative and progressive as they come. Not one to follow mainstream trends he has set himself apart from other musicians with his genious and originality.

He also has remixed some of the tracks from Togeo Music (GeoSuPhat, Sum-1) as well as other worthwile Jamendo artists such as KraftIM and others. You can hear some of his mixing work at Love My Vulture or by clicking on the TM Remix button in our music player on the right sidebar.

Togeo Music on Mininova - Torrents

Togeo Music on Mininova.

Togeo Studios is now a content distributor on Mininova in the featured section. What this means is that we will now have guaranteed downloads fully seeded for people using bittorrent clients. It will take a while to get all of our albums uploaded but we will have both hi quality Mp3, Flac and Ogg formats on there soon. Mininova is updating their servers right now so the site is a bit unstable at the moment but that should be sorted out soon. We will try to get our content uploded to their servers by the end of the year.

This helps us to get our catalog out to the public in as many ways and formats as possible. Dont forget you can also get Flac, ogg and mp3 versions of Togeo Music artist releases on the Internet Archive too. We completed uploading all of the TM catalog to the archive last month.

SST KEYS V2 - Togeo Studios free Ableton Live Pack.

GeoSuPhat had a birthday yesterday, so he decided to release the next part of the Simple Synth Library collection early. SST KEYS V2 is a collection of 375 Keyboard instruments for the Ableton Live Simpler device. A little bit of everything from Honkey Tonk pianos to Rhodes type electrics.

The first 100 presets are based on the original 24 bit samples and are the basic instruments. The other 275 have been modulated, filtered or are two voice combi instrument racks. Like usual there are no additional effects besides those in the Simpler device, so that you can spice them up to your own taste. But we have set up on each device 8 macro parameter controls to tweak the sounds even more.

The SST KEYS V2 are the fourth set in the Simple Synth Library collection joining the previously released Scapes, Basses and Leads. Work continues on the Drums, Synths, Pads, Stabs and Ethnic/World packs. Plus we are setting up a pack of Effect and Midi racks.
