			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oh, my! Join MaryMary, Library Pete, JJ the Lamb and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. And our Children’s Staff will have a Kid Kraft in the Arts and Crafts Room both days from 10:00 – 12:30.</p>
<p>On Wednesday, June 6th, our award-winning “Bringing Books to Life” crew will present “Mother Goose on the Loose” – an interactive session that uses rhymes, songs, puppets and more – limited to 15 familes!</p>
<p>On Thursday the 7th we will host a “Musical Slumber Party” with the Groove Club – a collective of Belmont students that love to sing, dance, and entertain children of all ages! Then on Thursday the 14th Charlie Hope will visit with a musical show that will give you the opportunity to stomp your feet, become a train, or roar like a lion!</p>
<p>Then this weekend we continue our popular marionette show “The Frog Prince” – featuring the wonderful Tichenor Marionettes. Showtimes are Friday and Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 in the second floor Children’s Theater and runs through June 16th.</p>
<p>Our Puppet Truck will participate in the Summer Reading campaign “Dream Big” by performing James Thurber’s classic tale “Many Moons” at North Library on Saturday, June 9th 10:30 and at the Pruitt Library at 2:30… featuring the Peeko Puppets!</p>
<p>Then on Saturday, June 16th the Puppet Truck will perform “Many Moons” at the Richland Park library at 10:30 and then the Southeast Branch at 2:00.</p>

<p>This Friday and Saturday we will host “Leslie’s Music Together” where you can experience music, dance and joyful interaction – limited to 15 families and for infants, toddlers and babies to age five. Friday and Saturday May 18th and 19th at 10:30 and 11:30. Also the Children’s Department will have a craft Friday and Saturday from 10:00 – 12:30.</p>
<p>And also this Saturday, May 19th, join us in the courtyard for a fun kick-off of the Mayor’s “Share A Book” reading campaign, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Meet the Mayor, a live Predators player, and the Sounds mascot, Ozzie. Enjoy our Puppet Truck’s “Ultimate Mother Goose” show at 1:00. Learn about the library and other literacy resources, sign up your young child with Books from Birth, and learn about fun ways to volunteer in our community. Meet the Ride for Reading bicycle crew, and learn about the great work of Book ‘em. Adults who would like help learning to read, or learning to read English, can speak with the Adult Literacy Council.</p>

<p>On Thursday and Friday we welcome Dollywood’s Imagination Playhouse with their musical production of “Otis” based on the book by Loren Long – shows both days are at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 in our Children’s Theater!</p>
<p>This week our puppet truck will be performing “Ellingtown!” on the road – 10:30 on Thursday, April 12th at the Southeast Library; then &#8211; 10:00 on Saturday, April 14th at Hadley Park Library and 3:00 at the Madison Branch Library. On Sunday, April 15th our puppet truck will perform “Hansel and Gretel” at 2:00 and 4:00 at the Frist Center. Then on Sunday, April 15th, we will perform “The World of Mother Goose” at 2:30 at the grand opening of Cumberland Park.</p>
<p>On Saturday the 14th we will be on stage at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center with the Nashville Symphony and their Pied Piper series – performing the story of the “Pied Piper of Hamelin” with actors and puppets! 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Oh, my! Join Library Pete, The Professor, Cedric the Dragon and me at Storytimes this week – Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30. </p>
<p>This week our Puppet Truck is on the road with shows at Branch Libraries! On Tuesday, April 3rd, you can see “Ellingtown!” – a puppet play based on the music of Duke Ellington – at 10:30 at the Pruitt Library. Then on Saturday, April 7th, our Puppet Truck will be performing “The World of Mother Goose” at 11:30 and 1:30 at Cheekwood’s Spring Art Hop.</p>
<p>Next week Dollywood’s Imagination Playhouse will be visiting Branches and our Main Library with the musical puppet play “Otis” – based on the book by Loren Long. Stay tuned for more information! </p>
<p>All of our shows are free and super-terrific!</p>
