always a great thing in my book. I’m writing this now with my new iPhone which is teh pimp fo sho! Been writing a lot in this little diary book I bought tryin to realize the many avenues which are available in life. Crazy really the soothing effect writin in my lil book has upon me. Hell I just got done writing a bit in there and re-read some older stuff, made me realize I still gotta blog I need to update so I can include the world in all my mind-numbing chatter. Lol so here I am . Been up to a lot lately July 4th, my daughter is down visiting, won a poker tourney on stars and took 2nd in the

same one a week earlier. Been hangin out with friends gettin inspiration to try and break into stand up comedy or perhaps just write more, but, you know, whatever. So really that’s about it for now, I’ll try and upload some pics….

Say wha?

Thats right I’m back and throwing this out there just to throw something out there.  I figure for the past who knows how long I always strive to be positive, upbeat, morally sound while writing my meandering publications o’ words.  Today I am going to ply my way down the road a bit differently, I’m going to begin just laying it all out there in any way which I can.  I’m going to attempt to write simply as quickly as I can and hit the publish before I ravage the content too dramatically.  Course I can come back later to fix up those damnable spelling errors which I undoubtedly will have being who I is, but fo the most part its just gunna be me being me.

Spoke with my dad again today, which is nice.  It reminds me that I am not alone in this world with my peculiar outlook, perhaps even that this outlook did not just happen overnight, but was cultivated, lol.  Cultivated, my ass but hell what can ya do but turn out like the dude who raised ya.

Unfortunately did not make the gym today, but thats something  not too common and I will not let it continue, I’ve got a mission in my life now.  If it isn’t keeping a job, its getting a hot body so I can get a job on Americas next Top old fuck.  Old fuck, who the hell am I kidding anyways?  I’m not old and I can out work, out play, out spank a majority of men younger then me.  Or so I tell myself, it makes me feel better…

Anyways enough for now.  Was fun!

My name is Arnold, I'll be back

So lately, I’ve not been posting much here at TommySarda.com.  There are a few reasons for this, primarily I’ve been extremely busy with all that I seem to feel necessary to accomplish.  I don’t know, I worked like a madman on The Reality Pit until I got it just like I wanted it, was madly composing articles about various reality shows and then just dropped it dead.   Pfft, I’ve posted here and there on it, but nothing like I envision it needs.  I’m thinking I’ll just settle down and do one or two shows on that site.  Next up I made a fitness blog.

I’ve written much about my journey to a fit lifestyle, but I felt a need to devote a separate place for this.  I even have aspirations of getting my personal training certification and perhaps even making this my career.  I want to do things right in this regard though, taking things slowly.  Gotta get to where I want to be fitness wise before I go and jump into a new career with all the responsibilities I have.

As far as personal things, me and Tracy have had a rough year really.  Starting with tragedy, moving forward trying to save a couple of lives from despair, moving, allegations, moving again, its really been a crazy ride.  Then add on top of these things, my work has gone through some crazy shit as well which I’ll spare you from.  But we are doing well and in a good place.  Tracy is loving her job, I’m working in mine lol, and well, life is good!

So ya, like um, I know I know…  But here I am!  I know you’ve been missing me.  I know its hard to get by wondering when it is that the Tommy will once again venture forth and bless you with his golden nuggets of mindlessly needless words.  But hey, like I said… Here I am!

So lately, I’ve been doing the same old thing at work, I like to refer to this as SSDD, a polite acronym picked up from my time in the Marine Corps which stands for, “Same Shit Different Day.”  Ahhh, gotta love it.  Anyways, work is work, it is good in that it brings forth the wonderful numbers that fill up my virtual bank account which supposedly could be converted into stacks and stacks o green 6 inch pieces of paper.  Hah, speaking of stacks and stacks of green bills, apparantly my buddy from work who once again conned me into buying popcorn from his son’s boy scout troop is hitting me up for 35 bones tomorrow….  WTF, popcorn?!?!  SSDD!  LoL can you believe the simple costs of well everything these days?

Unbelievable I tell ya, simply everything costs more these days.  I’m certain that my mother said this when she was 40 and I was 20, but gd, wtf?  I mean a gallon of milk, rent, eating out, the only things that are going down in price is computers.  Praise be to jehovah for that one because you know me, I gots ta have me some puter power.

Anyways other then work the home life is going all right.  I’ve been killing it in the gym still. Although the week before last, I went out of town for work a couple of days and ate at the damn Hofbrauhaus which does not fit anywhere into what you’d call a healthy lifestyle, but gd thats some good chow!  And Beer!  So last weeks weigh in Wednesday netted me a gain of +1. WTF!  Ahh well, so I made the goal to lose 6 this week.  Thats a big one, not so sure I can do it, but I’m not really too concerned because either way I’m having a good week this week.  It’d be nice to get down to 210 though for 75lbs total since 1/1/2009.  We’ll see.

Lastly, but certainly not least of all, I’ve been putting in some truly hard core efforts into my new project Reality Pit. I’ve been writing recaps on Survivor, The Amazing Race, and finally The Biggest Loser.  Each recap typically runs from 1200-1500 words putting me at around 5k words a week flowing outta my freaking grape.  Feels like its going to pop sometimes!  Lol, trying to keep a strong work ethic pointed towards it though.  Not just for making the site successful, but also just to improve upon my writing skills and give me new avenues to find inspirations to write about.

Recently I’ve thought of starting to write a bit more here.  I’ve got an idea of taking an object in my life and writing about it.  Its symbolism and meaning to me.  From the mundane, to the truly sentimental I like this idea and it would basically be just another avenue to explore and build up my creative juices.

So thats the haps folks.  I’m watching my Cowboys whooping up on the Packers as I write this so I am undoubtedly rushing this, not like it’d matter =P.

So, today I’ve been thinkin a lot about the years that I’ve managed to stash away in my litle backpack in the section I label ‘Life Experiences,’ and I wonder to myself what it will be like in 20 more years.  Can I manage to keep up with the pace that technology, humanity, and culture push forward in a never ending race towards an end that has no finish line.  Wow, some really crazy thoughts to be honest.  I consider my mother, a child of 19 when she had her only child with a man who must have been so confused he had no idea how to handle situations.  Gay at a pentecostal bible college on a course to be a pastor for a pentecostal church.  Are you kidding me?  For most who have never attending a pentecostal church much less been rased in one, they have no clue the implications that those circumstances would entail.  Wow.  How things have changed.

But the changes with culture are only the small changes.  Truly as a society we are still stuck, still mired in a struggle of conservative versus liberal, black versus brown ,versus yellow, versus white.  We have made many strides as a society, but how much further is there yet to travel when you really stop and think about it.  What I really am impressed by is technology.  Holy ef’n shit people, there are many out there like myself who have had a computer since they were in the 8th grade and are 40 years old.  Think about communication back then when you were booting up your apple ][+ up wondering if you could finish that list of chores before your asshole father came home?  OMG, think about your favorite shows way back in the day?  Were you a trekkie like me?  Pick up your cel phone and call your kid, now when he answers the phone say this, "Beam me up Scotty!," and what will they say?  What? LOL for real... You know what I'm talking bout.  Even the kids do at this point.  Cel phones are sci fi for me but gd ain’t they the shit?

So anyways blah blah blah, what even is bringing this all up?  Well yesterday evening, a friend of mine from high school came up this way to Boston and we both spent a couple of hours out of our lives reliving the past 22 years.  We spoke open about things like this, about how the nation is, the liberals and conservatives, religious beliefs or lack of, and just a collection of experiences that we’ve both managed to work our ways through while trudging along throughout life’s many journeys.  I did most of the talking it seemed as I’ve been many places and seen many things, but his journeys were no less exciting and amazing to hear about.  Remind me never to take a white water rafting trip in Jamaca mon!  But just the changes in our worlds that we’ve lived through were what left the biggest impression for us both I think.  When we went our seperate ways, a handshake was shared and the push to do it again sometimes.  Oh, of course who knows when this chance will arise again but I think next time instead of wondering if we’ll ever see anyone from our past we might think more along the lines of when will we meet someone from our past.

Anyways, I’ve really kind of gone astray in this meandering journey of an entry.  I really just want to shed light upon the past, the present, and the future.  I think that we live in the most exciting of times that history has ever had.  I think there are those that are wrong, and those that are right.  I believe that both of these groups have their own rights and wrongs and that if only they could come together, perhaps we’d live in a better world.

Yesterday while perusing my twitter feeds, I noticed one of my favorite reality interview kings was asking for some questions to ask the first eliminations from The Amazing Race.  Since I’ve begun reporting for the examiner.com site about this, I went ahead and tweeted him back with a question.  Imagine my surprise when I was replied to asking me to send in my question via video.

I was somewhat at a loss as I was just on my lunch break and in Manchester and didn’t have my camera with me.  I started thinking though and remembered this fancy new Macbook that I have been taking with me everywhere has a built in camera and my new Palm Pre could hook up to the laptop and grab the file and then send it in  via Majik and stuff.  Well to make a long story short, I made a little video in the parking lot of a best buy and sent it in and was included in the episode of Inside Dish.  Check it out below!  My question is a few minutes in and its really a great interview anyways so enjoy!
